Hello,

I used to play TESO during the beta but quit later for other games. Glad to see this game improving, but improvement needs to happen faster.

Just for the record:

I've played various mmos for several years, some were very hardcore while other pretty casual. (Lineage 2, RIFT, Neverwinter-Online, now playing TESO!). Reached end game content in all of them and i base my feedback on the experience which i made over the years.

First of all, im not too happy that dmg scales with max resource, this really gimp the class building.

1. Recovery changes with upcoming patch will affect different classes more than others while soloing pve content. Basically, if you play pure dps class with light armor and run out of resource while having bunch of mobs chasing you, there will be very little option to deal with it. In some cases it may even break some builds from soloing pve content, due to lack of resource needed for heals or/and dmg.
2. Add HP/MP bar for pets.
3. Add function to seach items in AH by name (like, seriously, how can you not have it in 2017?!)
4. Copy good systems from other mmos, such as:

"Buff hour" Neverwinter-online uses system with addtional rewards for specific activity which cycle every hour from one activity to another. Such system helps gathering community to do specific activity which helps reduce queue times for dungeons or find parties in PvP, etc. This is very simple system which simply gives all players information about bonus rewards for specific activity and can only make MMO better.

Improve your Crown store and microtransaction similar to RIFT system/UI. I cant stress enough how poor TESO store and microtransaction is. Add an option to:

- buy Crowns in "chests" which can be later sold in AH, trade between players or gave away as gifts.
- Allow players to buy 30/60/90 days "ESO+" tokens for Crowns, which can be later consummed, gift to friends or even sold in AH
- Add some kind of Loyality system with bonus rewards (cosmetic rewards, so people dont cry about pay to win)

Improve the Crown Store UI in general. Everything is way too squashed.

5. PVP

- Do something with all those self heals spams. It really ruin important aspect of pvp which is positioning. Atm, most classes can just go full *** mode, because they can just swap to self heal mode in seconds with very little penalty. Consistent and strong heals should not go together with dmg. This could be easily fixed by adding "X" % outgoing dmg penatly debuff for "X" sec, every time player heal himself in pvp. Real healers wont care, as they're not main dps anyway.
- Add/Fix boolstering for undergeared players and horse speed. It's very poor and makes pvp unpleasant.

PS Thanks for your hard work and bug fixing.

there is an addon for that. it will add some filters to the guildstores also saves your last search so you dont have to set it all over while looking through store after store.
There is no AH though ;)

    name of the addon: AwesomeGuildstore

also if you dont have it - get minion to manage your addons easier.

Letting people sell crowns to others is too direct of a real life money to gold transaction. That's considered pay to win.

You lost me when you suggesting taking something from Neverwinter. Really a pale version of an MMO. Any Arc game is not worth mentioning other than how to not do something. Yes, I played Neverwinter.

    1. resource management is something we will all have to adjust to. While you may be right the changes affect different classes to different degrees since nothing can be exactly equal, but I doubt the difference is something you have been able to measure. Your example is a bad example though since a lightning staff heavy attack is great for killing groups of mobs and does not require resources to do so.

The rest either has a solution on PC or has not been a big deal. Rare sorc pets die.

Looked again, your comment on PvP, well, it is all in the build and tactics used. I understand you have not played since beta so the comment is understandable.

Bolstering is OP on live. Horse speed can be maxed in about 20 seconds via the crown store riding lessons. Certainly newer characters should not get an advantage of a faster horse since it would mean upper level and max level characters still leveling their horse could easily be at a disadvantage.

That's actually the other way around, because those who dont spend $ after buying the game could still get ESO+ without subs.

Tbh i dont think anyone would sell chests of crowns for gold and even if, it would be very high price as gold is pretty much useless in this game after some time. Not to mention that most high lvl classes can farm 50-100k per hour.

Well, what argument do you have against the "Buff hour" system?

that video is pre-one tamriel and it's just saying 'farm' and 'sell on a broker'. duh.

New player should learn the game, and not give a feedback about what he doesn't understand yet.
    Good luck with that :)

I roll my eyes whenever I see people trying to apply their experience in other games as a special card. Actually even one recent zone argument comes to mind. It was like this:

    - "I've beaten Smough & Ornstein in Dark Souls so I'm far more skilled DPSer than you (*hurrdurr sounds*) and I tell you this game is broken."
    - "No... You simply killed Smough & Ornstein and that's basically it. Learn your rota please. Thanks!"

To the OP's credit, this suggestion is actually not bad.

I'm disgusted to read someone seriously suggest that ZOS should just sell gold.

Please go back to neverwinter or some other pay to win trash.

This thread should be deleted. !BURN IT WITH FIRE!

    Cheers!

I farm on average 360k gold per hour in ideal conditions. Gold is easy to get.

As for the OP, I love these sorts of posts. So insightful to hear from players of other MMOs. Many interesting ideas and suggestions here. I read your post, but I am working and don't have time to respond line by line. Always constructive to hear outside impressions.

I would like to add that blocking CP in certain campaign doesnt really help much if you dont block gear which requires certain amount of CP.

On top of that all players get pretty much the same pvp buff no matter what items they wear, which is not how balanced boolstering should work.

Either disable any gear which requires CP or give players additional dmg reduction when they're wearing worse items. This wont solve everything, because dmg gives more options than dmg reduction, but it will make pvp less annoying for new players who are just 1-2 shot material.

Adjust the HP value of destroyable castle parts to be equal to 2x of the difference between number of players in 2 most populated allies and the lowest populated ally. This means that when let say in DC there's 100 players, in EP 80 but in AD only 20 players, HP of AD buildings will increase by 280% (since difference between DC and AD is 80 and between EP and AD 60 which gives together 140 and then x2 = +280% HP).

In this example AD will still lose, because with such a big difference of players you can take objectives very fast anyway, but it will make pvp feel less facerolling. On top of that, it will discourage players from ally hopping so often, which means loging on character that has the strongest force on the map. Players will give up less, knowing that despite being heavily outnumbered they can still last some time behind the walls that have higher HP value.

If castles are falling down in seconds to enemy zerg, there's 0 reason to even try defending, because your walls/gates will fall before you get on the walls to place your balista.

I like this idea a lot. Hammering the keep walls isn't the most interesting and fun part of PvP, but it IS the part where a much smaller force has some tactical options to delay or even prevent getting roflstomped by the zerg. Give them more time to defend themselves, and make the zerg work for their win.

However, ZOS would first need to deal with various factors that can affect population numbers in Cyro so they don't necessarily reflect reality all that well. hahaha #neverhappen
Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.
