And new title if you complete all achievements.

So? There are a bunch of titles and achivements in the Alliance War section. If you are a completionist you need those to get 100%. Why should PvP not have fun events? No one is forcing you anymore than they are forcing people to do the stupid fetch quests from Jester and New Life festivals.
Don't like it, don't do it.

No problem if it is pvp event, like one before in Cyrodill, where you fought Molag Bal and what else was there, but this is meant Holiday event! Like new years or witches festival, which is meant for everybody!
So you will be completely fine if next Holiday event will be something like complete vMOL in 20 min?
Good for you.
Sure. I haven't looked at these PvP event achievements yet. Do they require you to be good? Or do you simply have to PvP? Unless they put some achievement in there that requires skill it isn't comparable. Anyone can go into PvP and zerg around and get credit for kills, keep captures etc... Not everyone can complete vMOL. However if the next holiday event said to complete a normal trial, I'd be absolutely fine with that.
But, yeah. If they do an event for the hardcore raiders, I'd be fine with that. I have plenty of things to do in this game, not everything needs to be designed for my personal interest and needs.

But as I said there are many people, who despise pvp and making event, which is meant fun event for everybody, but which force you into specific gameplay isnt fair. To be honest my old computer even cant run Cyrodill and those mass zergs, i got 10 fps out there, so there is no way for me or some other like me ever complete something there.
Also answers like : "' Don't like it, don't do it" will get us nowhere - whats the point of giving feedback or talk about problems, when : Don't like it, don't do it or don't like it, don't play it.

I believe HOLIDAY events are part of pve story line, they are events celebrated in Tamriel by its inhabitants and we as a players take part in them and that's why I'm upset that new HOLIDAY event is out of nowhere pure pvp thing!
If it is out on PTS with full achievement tab and title, it is 99% that it will stay that way. Same as with Jester, new year and witches festivals, when they were introduced on PTS.
Also please spare me this pvp nonsense like Im some weekling, who plays only stupid pve and you are big, tough pvp guys - I said my comp cant run Cyrodiil and its zergs and im long past that age when I need to prove my big e-peen to someone.

People aren't misunderstanding, we just don't share your belief that Holiday events are supposed to be PvE only. Nowhere has ZOS ever said that Holiday events are PvE only. It is good to mix stuff up a bit. ZOS has said before that they want to try to encourage people to try different parts of the game. This is an incentive.

The game play angle is not as easy to use as a base for your position given the PVE element of the prior four events and the preference some have for Cyrodiil centered game play.

You are right, but if, as someone said, those holiday events have no deeper meaning in game lore and are created out of thin air to just vary gameplay, then I am quite dissapointed
I thought they are like equivalents to celebrations we had in real life, but only now in Tamriel and defined by its lore and traditions, like those festvities similar in WOW, but if not, then I dont know if I care anymore.
Balticthunder wrote: »There is this upcoming event on PTS, something like Midyear Mayhem, which is completely pvp content!
Why?
Me and many other people avoid pvp in this game like plague, now people are forced to Cyrodiil to complete this event and its achievements!
So whats next? Event which force you to join hardcore raiding guild to complete it?
Wasn't those game events were meant for fun? Why then you are forcing people now into specific gameplay to take part in your events?!
