group finder shenanigans

So I just got into a vet wayrest 1 group for today's pledge. My group consisted of the following:

-a dk "tank" in light armor with a fire staff, dual wield, and not a single taunt ability slotted.

-a templar "healer" in full heavy with double barred sword and shield who used nothing buy blessing spam and ritual.

-a nightblade "dps" with dual wield and bow who literally, throughout the whole dungeon, only used bow light attacks and whirling blades.

Oh, and the "tank" and "healer" were both cp600.

I went through like 30 soul gems during the last boss fight, tank kept getting one shot because he wouldn't block heavies the 20% of the time he actually had aggro. I ended up having to tank most of that fight spamming annulment and blocking, and you can imagine how long it took with that bow wizard's amazeballs dps -_-

Please find a way to fix stupid, zenimax.

There should have to be a minimum amount of stats required for queueing for each role and a minimum number of specific abilities too.

Yesterday, I had a 500CP DK dps using dual resto staves. I left right about the first boss.

I've noticed a lot of people going in as tank or healer to bypass the long wait times for dps. I usually just leave...or I wont do what I'm supposed to do either and watch them die over and over.

That is pretty awesome. I know I'm a bad healer, but for some reason I cackle with glee everytime I see someone get one shot by a mob

Tried like hell to carry some bow light attack dude through vCoS. He really wanted the helmet bad. Just couldn't do it with so much dead weight.

There is a vote to kick option for a reason...

I don't think there much ZOS can fix regarding to this particular issue. This is the bit where the community need to make a stand quick out queue jumpers and leeches. In my experience people are reluctant to kick high cp members even if they are totally useless or jerks. As long as people are more fixated to kick lowbies this won't be solved.

Have you seen Zos's example of minimum stats in the patch notes lol. Redguard 15k lol. So they would say a Tanks minimum health would be probably 12k. DPS minimum max stat 18k. Specific abilities would never work cause people would just take them off once their build was approved to do the dungeon.

I' m just trying to understand the part of them being CP 600 and playing that way. How can they play like that being high level? I mean by LVL 50 at most most of the game's basic fighting knowledge just borrows into your brain and sticks there.

Today I also needed to leave my group from dungeon finder. Tank was fine, but healer was not healing even with resto staff equipped, so I asked him on chat what abilities he's using. Silence.
Then I saw that other DD has no food active, so I told him to eat something cause he has only 10k HP. Silence.

After repeating my questions, still getting no response and resurrecting healer and DD dozens of times I left the group cause I didn't want to waste my soul gems and time anymore.

WS1 vet is a baby dungeon. I've done it so many times in so many forms trying to get a useless ring no one wants and you don't need anything too special for it. DPS who wanna queue tank should really invest in the Undaunted taunt though. Not having it is just lazy/selfish. Healing is easy, just have a heal. My pure DPS magicka Sorc does fine healing vets with just the Twilight and the fights even go faster with 3 DPS.

Don't use terrible equipment and eat food though. I had 2 innocent DPS and healer before have no food throughout the Dungeon and I warned them that they were hungry wif tummies growling but I thought it'd be more interesting for them to learn that on their own. So of course the last boss 1shot them effortlessly and they were at a loss to what to do. I directed them to the delicious bread on the table and a whole new world opened up to them: The world of full tummiez. They were amazed at how durable they now were.

Everyone wants to DPS but majority of them are "terrible at it/confused" so they should flesh out their character in general before doing weird tank/healer builds.
DPS queue is literally never because the Holy Trinity has been a failure since the 90s (but everyone's in denial about it) so you gotta improvise if you ever wanna clear pledges. I hope it doesn't become too difficult after all the nerfs to do that kinda stuff or DPS are even more screwed with queue.

I' m just trying to understand the part of them being CP 600 and playing that way. How can they play like that being high level?

Although number of CPs never meant anything, I also noticed increased amount of weak high cp players last few month. Many people "level" by joining dolmen zergs, grinding zombies at famous overland locations and by being carried at Skyreach catacombs :/ Alone, they struggle cause those ways of leveling apparently haven't taught them anything.

It's hilarious and sad when cp600 player enters public dungeon, and when pack of mobs surrounds him, he uses... Blood Altar and Uppercut :| Probably when he was "gaining experience" in group at dolmen, his actions seemed effective :)
Or other almost capped cp player in a delve - sorc with Clannfear and Uppercut. Almost 600 cps, only 2 abilities - and he didn't even use Clannfear for healing. When I saw him, he tried to kill 3 mobs, but died. He resurrected and run to try his luck with boss... :#

Is this Cyrodiil? No, it's Alik'r Desert, between dolmen and wayshrine  It's far from all people who rode past me, it's just as many as I could capture in one screenshot after I recovered from shock:

Not everyone's the same as me but if you're willing to learn and communicate, that's about all I expect from PUGs. If it's one of the base game dungeons we'll figure a way to get through it. Don't let the horror stories discourage you from trying things you want to try, we were all new at one point.

Most Dungeons are pretty straight forward: have a minimum of 18k health with food, don't stand in anything red.

@Sakiri you sounds too self conscious to be the terrible dps we complain about ;) Besides, most of complaints are about cp people I think, it's understandable when a level 24 doesn't know his class, but when it's cp 600, well...

Really though, a lot of players are more than willing to offer advice and help as long as you're willing to listen and aren't that guy with 12k health who keeps activating hardmode just to proceed to standing in red for 10+ seconds and dying, then ressing and going on with it again like a dolmen bot :p
    What platform are you?

To OP, I don't think even god can fix stupid, but I feel you SOOOOOO much x_x Wtb learning curve for this game.

    Noobs in action.
Made worse in that the dolmen zergs give crap xp, think questing and killing everything in your path is more efficient and more fun. This have weird results.

Did the undaunted delves as usual and run into stuff, first was sorcerer with two pets i bypassed him thinking he was looting all containers. Arrived 5 seconds to late for boss. Killed mobs while waiting, boss spawned and I saw the twilight.
This is the dungeon you have to eat a flower before killing boss for quest so I said in chat.
Found that he was cp600 and did not react to /say so killed boss.

Next character another delve, see an fellow Khajiit following me doing bow light attack, slowed down on the three mobs so he would get some hit he was using low level gear after all.
After enemies was dead I was still taking damage, found it was an mob who had followed me :)
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Yes, an very low level player is more useful than an cp600 doing light attacks because of the battle scaling.
    Seen this in some dungeons.

They probably either lay dead in Skyreach while a person they paid some gold coins to killed everything in sight for them or they ran in a counterclockwise circle doing the dolmens somewhere. Before they were level 50 they were carried through normal dungeons and now do not know any better.

This is why people should quit carrying lower level players through dungeons (not counting guild mates) and instead take your time and make them learn their skills.

Hmm, should have read the thread first I am just repeating what has already been said. But I typed it so I'm posting it.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."
