Noticed this last Saturday on PC NA as well. I'll try to document it next time, but there were times I had to press vigor 5 or so consecutive times before it went.

Way back in the day some anti-bot measures were put in place that unfortunately really hit performance/lag, this hit to performance/lag affect all platforms to this day.

just to add one aspect here.

Yesterday I noticed extreme lag as described (skills not firing, heavy attack not going out, teleporting, loading screen, instant death). This was in Cyrodil, but also elsewhere. My ping seemed to be fine most of the time though.

I checked my task-manager and noticed that some windows-service was using my network card for downloading at max capacity. In fact it was the windows-update service loading all kinds of patches plus the Creators Update (about 8 Gigabyte in size I think). The problem is that afaik you cannot limit the bandwith usage of the updates like you can for instance in steam. Even terminating the update-service did not help, it was immediatly restarted.
I had to completely disable the updates in the update-settings (Windows10 Enterprise) to have it stopped so I could go on playing.

So if you have that sort of lag, watch your network-card usage in task manager and look for the process or service responsible. If it happens once or twice a months it might be the auto-update from Microsoft.

I noticed it on Tuesday and had one of the most laggravating times in there since my first completion. Same as the OP, lag with skills firing, skills not going off, etc. It was better yesterday, only because I had already adjusted to the lag from the previous day and was better prepared for it. I used more buffs, especially on boss fights, and preemptively used vigor more to accommodate for it. I did get a sharpened bow for my efforts yesterday.

P.S. I had 300 MB up and 300MB down internet speed and have called and reset my line with my ISP just to be sure it wasn't me...

Ping is what matters ... you can play perfect with 1.5mbps down and 1.5mbps up.

It's brutal mate. I got my stormproof title and haven't been back since.

I do quite like the arena, but the bugs and latency completely ruin the fun of it.

Mind you, playing from Asia doesn't help. Wtb oceana server
