Kinda irrelevant for solo players like me. If anybody still can help me to kill a real powerful world boss (though i can solo most of them) me just fine )

Downswing? LOL what are tou talking about? ESO popularity is booming and there's rainbows and pink horses everywhere!!!
Every mmo I have played through the years always has a bit of a drop off just prior to major content release, some people want to see what is changed before they invest more time in to activities they enjoy, but everywhere I go in the times I play zone chat is active, things sell well on the guild vendor, I see no signs of a sinking ship yet, games ebb and flow a lot these days just because there are so many games out there, I am bouncing between three games myself two online and one stand alone.

Damn guys. I have just had some pc issues so haven't logged in and you think it's the end of the world? I will be back don't worry. I didn't realise I had that much impact on people's enjoyment of the game.

So right now there are already many indications to it that ESO is loosing players fast and amount of new players is minimal. I myself joined the game during gold edition sale and the amount of new players was huge. And I myself playing only 10% of time I was used to play back when LFG was working. The grind is also down, my 4 trade guilds sales barelly selling now after Homestead hype is over.

So what is you opinion, do you believe Morrowind will bring a positive or a negative change? Or maybe there will be a slight positive change and then a collapse?

    ehem...excuse me doomsayer.

ESO has more newcomers and a larger player base than ever before thanks to one tamriel. This is only going to grow with morrowind and new content!

I want to say because group finder is fixed...But...

It's my opinion that pledge behave lost appeal to people. The proc on the sets was nerfed, hard to find decent players, likely to take awhile with little reward. As to say there are better options to do with your tamerial life.... Maybe even fishing.

P.S we are split up into different instances btw so what you see is not the truth.

It may be a matter of perspective.

If you only engage in 1 or 2 activities in the game, LFG and gold grinding, then you may feel the population of those activities has dropped. But the game has many activities other than that.

Questing, RP, GUILD TRIAL AND DUNGEON RUNS, PVP, material gathering, build crafting, gear farming (typically with guilds or friends), etc. (I capped guild dungeon and trial runs because I think this may be the root of your perceptual dissonance.)

If anything, there are SO many new players that the LFG system is generally avoided by the most skilled and serious gear farmers for the sake of efficiency. Better to run with a solid group that has things "on farm" then to take up the mantle of "trainer of noobs."

Not that it isn't noble and immensely generous, training noobs. But sometimes the LFG system can pair you with some really toxic people. Again, a matter of perspective, or luck. Like certain times of the day you just learn to avoid LFG. So that may be another reason, if you are playing during one of those times.

But regardless, all sign seem to point to more people lately rather than less.

Also, biased poll is biased. :p

I'm on EU server and here's a list of basic indication to a serious decrease in interest to ESO:

    1) There's no que at evening time to enter Cyrodiil on any campaign. Only 2 months ago i was looking at "You que position is 150".

    2) Guild sales. All my guilds total sales went to 20% of Homestead launch. I have Wayrest and Rwalkha guilss.

    3) Online players is half of what it was 2 months ago in my guilds and friends list.

    4) The prices of ESO ingame gold published on markets dropped down 50% since Homestead launch.

From my own experience last 10 random normals I made were filled with high cp players. Don't see many lowbies lately.

    1) We couldn't get into TF yesterday. Haderus was 3-pop. So we BCT fought there, plenty of action.

    2) The sales of furniture made up for the majority of the sales at Homestead launch. You have to compare to the sale prior to Homestead launch.

    3) Online players of Overwatch is 5% of what it was 2 months ago in my friend list.

    4) What do you mean by that? Buying gold with real money? There are so many bots now so there's a real competition in the black market.

What I can notice is the decrease in number of skilled players. Not saying that I am one, I am currently trying to git gud. The game is catering more and more towards TES playerbase, which is a good thing since the open world is amazing. Downside is that a small population is left unattended. Maybe after Morrowind, ZoS can focus on fixing PvP? Well, I have a dream.

How about trials or maybe just vanishing HRC boss??

In the 3 years I've been playing I've never seen the game as popular as it is now, it is getting fantastic press everywhere I look, I'm actually meeting random people irl that play ESO or know of it.

Also, a lot of people think that the Morrowind Chapter is actually a separate game from ESO, so when I explain what it is to them (being fans of the series that never played ESO) they go out and buy the game.

So, from at least my subjective experience, it seems more popular than ever... More crowded in game too.

A year ago most of the people I would talk to about it had either heard of it or on very rare occasions played it back during beta and gave up on it.

But Im having the same experiences now. Numerous people I work with play it. Some on their own while others Ive convinced to give it a try. One friend currently has more CP than I do even though hes been playing for only a fraction of the time.

Logging in I cant even get in and out of Mournhold at any time of the day on PS4 without a bit of a prolonged load time.

It has to. Theres no any major MMORPG coming in next couple year at least. Also F2P when they decide to do so, will be relaunch for this game. Also I keep fingers crossed that ES TV-show is coming, we need something after Game of Thrones, thats going to be huge thing for ESO too. Not to mention ES6. So that said, push forward said Granny in the snow.

No, no thank you tons of people do not want another dark hbo clone.

ESO is Dark? I think ES series is more like Hercules or Xena. Its not definitely dark. Sure, they gotta put something in there to attract bigger audience, Hercules and Xena aint gonna make it, yeah, something mainstream, violence, hope, love go figure?

I think I figured it out, Hercules and Xena style boring brainless adventure TV-series, but main characters has depth like love, violence and hope. Of course modern day effects what Hercules and Xena lacked back in the days. Thats freaking winner, right htere.

No he said like game of thrones, I do not consider eso dark well not by much.
