The idea behind is that it doesn't make that much difference in terms of damage since it's calculated by tooltip * (1+(crit*critdmg)) and this gets maxed if crit and critdmg are equal. However with all the impen the critdamage gets a huge hit, so that shadow becomes more effective. And the best thing about shadow is that it gives so much more potential burst which is very important in 1v1 encounters (I would actually say it's impossible to kill tank builds without maxing out critdamage while not wearing proc sets).

Back to topic: I've tested Bonpirate for a bit now and it's definitely not that strong. I still struggle extremly in duels with medium armor, pretty much every magicka builds wrecks me thanks to undodgeable trollassault and other undodgeable stuff. Heavy armor builds are also disgusting to fight against, especially stamsorcs with hurricane. I pretty much lose to many people who just melt as soon as I start slotting my heavy armor, that's the sad part. I can't imagine me losing to any medium armor player on my heavy armor build or on my manasorc, medium just needs some good buffs (or light and heavy some nerfs, I would prefer the last thing because medium vs medium seems pretty balanced, the fights end fast at last).

can confirm, used it the whole no cp week, just glyph 2 max health or all 3 stat glyphs on armor and u still sit on ~25k health, even with a "normal drink" (which I did use)

This is the only game I have ever played where the players want to less powerful and to just run around heavy and light attack. But ppl would still complain that there would need to be cool down on heavy attacks as they were too heavy.

It's a shame. Took me an unimaginable amount of dungeon runs to finally get the pieces I need. RNG is gonna kill this game for me if I'm gonna have to keep farmin stuff this way.
