Casuals ruined pledges.

Theyre all over the place, those under cp160 farmers in vet dungeon and they get mad when someone calls them out. They brag about their life and how you take it too seriously. If you're a casual than why would you do dlc vet dungeons? This cp34 guy was so pissed because he failed to defeat a boss many times in vet ruins of mazzatun(we left because gear repair cost) that he private messaged me and wished that I get "gunned down" then he ignored :P not even once.

my fav is the ones who ruin the pledges with mechanics you have to screw up on purpose like:
    -pulling levers
    -touching shards

or the best one, running ahead and killing the zombies before starting the pellingeres fight.

It would be interesting to see the complete picture of the conversations OP brings up. While some players have a temper and easily get riled up, we are only getting half the story here.

Last night was in a random vet dungeon and one DPS was barely CP100 The healer started a vote to kick as soon as we entered the dungeon. When it failed he/she left the group. We went on to 3 man the dungeon. Granted, it was not RoM, but OPs position starts off talking about vet dungeons in general.

Also, CP600 does not mean the player knows what they are doing.

a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals

I see no word "casual" in the definition.

Please don't make me post the definition of "elitism", which the OP reeks of.

@jlboozer You're cool. Here is the awesome that you wanted.

@Gordon906 There was another thread talking about a matching based group finder, which would make all the best players ideally join up with the best etc. Also another thread about a tutorial, I do not mind that at all. I ran into an dude from the U.S who was our tank and he would tell us how to play. I told him a few things and after that we completed the dungeon. Not hard to message someone explaining that dlc dungeons are the toughest and that they should bring their A game, even if they are casuals. They do not listen? Just kick and re-que. If the que gives the lowest cp guy the crown (lol) you're screwed. Personally educating others on dps rotation/sets/tanking/healing should be option #1, if they want to gun you down they can go play COD.

I wish people would communicate more before boss fight to make sure everybody knows strats. Played games where you never ever pull the boss until you go over the strat or verify everybody knows what to do. I think that is the biggest problem. Every single player in this game had to do boss fights for the first time and if somebody didnt teach them then they would wipe the group too.

You know how to solve this problem? Never PUG. If you want good group, create good groups. Join a guild, get to know the guildies, make friends with them and then do pledges and dungeons together and you will always know what you are gonna get and you can't fault anyone but yourself and your friends if you fail. I never PUG DLC dungeons and I try as much as possible to do all my dungeons with Guildies. It non only makes it easier but creates a better guild atmosphere in where we all do things together and get what we need together all the while having fun in each others company. Why spend several hours a day with random people you despise and blame for every little thing that goes wrong?

you "pro-gamers"-wanna-bes take this game too serious, maybe you should relax and if you do not like the group, advice or just leave and find an another group

you somehow forgot that you also once were a newbie noob, right? and not everyone is a min-maxer, or a theorycrafter, some people just enjoy the game

OK, first, if people are under CP160, there are much better places to farm Exp than Vet Dungeons. For one, Normal Dungeons as they pay the same Exp and are finished a lot faster, but even then, publics, Skyreach Caverns, the spiders Bangkoria, the Zombies in Coldharbor, Alikir, Grahtwood, Greenshade, well every zone in the game are far and away much better sources of exp. So, I doubt your seeing all that many if any farming exp in a Vet Dungeon. They are certainly not farming gear at sub CP160 as in a week it will be useless to them.

So, I wonder just what farmers your seeing?

Now, seeing a sub CP160 player in a Vet Dungeon who did not know better? Sure I can believe that, but I would bet they are not coming back after a round or two teaches them to wait.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

You can't derive categories from CP alone, it is said time and again here.

I'm CP600, but I am completely casual. Played about 1 hour this whole week. Life's far more important than this particular game, which is so damned faceroll easy you have to be a particularly ungifted player to fail a dungeon just because a casual does enter the group.

Back in my day Pledges came out around the same time the Vet system did and the majority of people running them weren't even remotely close to being V16.

I haven't since run a vet pledge, nor am I aware of any changes that might've been made to them, but if they're the same as they've always been then I can't understand at all this insistence that people be like CP300 just to run pledges.

So someone enlighten me on what I'm missing here as someone who hasn't played the game since then.

The resistance, HP and damage mobs and bosses do have been significantly increased in One Tamriel patch for veteran dungeons. The normal versions today are close to veteran ones back then.

I like this idea; maybe not skill-based per se, but CP based, in a range, so that CP 100's tend to be grouped with other CP 100-ish players. This works very well in other games I've played; as you progress, the dungeon gets easier, not only because you're higher level but because your entire team tends to be.
