Im on PC EU. I would not say Im a complete noob, my friend means im doing a lot of damage (have no clue myself, I have no add-on to record it and have damage-numbers turned off. I think I would get irritated by that.) But surviving... well as a MagMage in fabric I can be killed quite quickly if it hits me between shield expire and recasting. But learning boss mechanics would be the biggest problem, im incredibly slow at learning. And I know I would need to be reminded on the mechanics when doing the boss another time.

I think thier issue is they aren't a very likeable person. So they struggle to make friends to run dungeons with.

More than 20 friends who I constantly play with (every day or other day) and 10-15 guildmates, I am not going to waste my friends time and make him run pledges with me if he already has every shoulder he/she needs. My RNG sucks, so yea I have to do pug finder. Doesn't help that I am on European time playing on NA server either. Your reasoning is bs.

What is stopping a newbie from getting to 250 cp before he attempts a not hard vet dungeon? You get 5-10 cp from a single normal random dungeon.

Aw. Well I have a baby magsorc on EU, she's cp 110 or something now. Hit me up if you like, @Magdalina777. I have a very limited amount of stuff at my disposal for now but I know all the mechanics inside out at least hehe.

To be effective as a dps, you'll likely want some sort of addon or some extensive dps dummy testing at least though ;P

I got the best solution, I vote to kick anyone under 250 cp in any vet dungeon, 500 for dlc ones, if someone rejects, I leave myself

Lol. I have seen so many people with low CP and being good players and I have seen so many having over 700 CP playing like ****. You cant just assume low CP = bad and high = good. It just doesn't work like that.

Its not bad or good, just not enough CP to withstand incoming damage even if you are blocking. Especially in vet dlc dungeons.

So while I don't expect some elite pro gamer, I do expect people to carry their own weight and fulfill the role THEY chose. After all if I am pulling my own weight, why shouldn't the rest of my team do the same.

    - I speak english properly as a foreign language, why shouldn't the rest of the people do the same ?
    - I don't have weight problems, why should anyone else have overweight ?
I could go on like this forever, you get my point.

People are entitled to enjoy a free time activity even if they're not good at it.
You are also entitled to playing only with people who are good/as good as you are. But in this case : DO NOT PUG.

If you get killed through block that 99.5% means it was an attack you were supposed to avoid and there was a way to do that. While nice, cp won't suddenly make you be able to survive a 70k oneshot you got because you stood in the stupid(not meaning you specifically there, just a general comment).

Unless we're talking about Veli's Orb of Spite in vet hm of Cradle of Shadows in which case, lemme asure you, you can and will die to it through block and shield even if you're 600 cp sometimes. I'm not sure what they were thinking about with that mechanic.

Seriously how many times has this thread been resurrected? Stop bringing it back from the dead. lol

Can a mod lock this one or something? Even just the title of it suggests it doesn't add anything constructive to the community.

Generally I don't have issues in PUGs, and I quite like PUGs even though I am in an excellent guild, just because I get to meet new people.

But for some reason this evening, tanking vet Waywrest II for the pledge, 3 groups in a row consisted of people who did not know about the altars in Malubeth. I don't really understand that, the mechanic is the same in vet as in normal, so it strongly implies they've jumped straight to the vet version of a dungeon without learning mechs on normal mode. That to me seems an odd strategy to adopt for a game, and it is a bit selfish to put yourself into a vet team if you've not bothered to do a quick run through on normal to familiarise yourself with mechs. I mean, it's like 15 mins to finish a normal mode dungeon when you're at a level suited to vet runs, just invest that time, it's a no-brainer.

I did tell these people about the altars and they did in fact deal with the issue next time in all cases. But each time the healer left because these DDs also stood in the red and died repeatedly in all 3 runs, so I left, because the new Finder is so broken it will never replace a player who leaves mid-game.
Standard MMO issue, in WOW it was lots of players wanted to skip the normal dungeons and go directly for heroic.
WOW is far more about gear level and progression, ESO is more about sets and player skill.

there is no player skill anymore, you dont even need a true role in 90 percent of the content.

Theyre all over the place, those under cp160 farmers in vet dungeon and they get mad when someone calls them out. They brag about their life and how you take it too seriously. If you're a casual than why would you do dlc vet dungeons? This cp34 guy was so pissed because he failed to defeat a boss many times in vet ruins of mazzatun(we left because gear repair cost) that he private messaged me and wished that I get "gunned down" then he ignored :P not even once.

Don't blame 'casuals' for one or two fools in the game. Generalizing is as dangerous as the actual problem itself.

Goes totally opposite of the content in the tread.
If no skill needed why is it bad players?

I generally avoid grouping with sub 160, but there's been some occasions where I've had a cp80 tank for vetWGT and he was awesome, but most of the time if its WGT/Ruins/ICP or something that can take 2 hours with 160+ group I'll bail rather than take the chance unless I waited an hour as dps for queue.

I suspect if all of us casuals stopped doing the pledges entirely, then the hardcore "professionals" would rarely find enough people to group with.
    .

What they also do not get is they are not that great of a player either or they could carry that low CP/casual.

The question might not be "can they carry?" It's more "why should they be expected to?"

I would love to run a few vet dungeons, but the attitudes of people in this game can be "***". Some low levels were asking for help to run a normal dungeon. EzPz. I volunteered as DPS and a random tank joined. CP was like 500+ and he stated "God really such trash low noobs." Then left the group. We were all rather appalled due to it being a normal and them being new players.

My 2 cents: maybe if ZOS put in an explanation of mechanics in normal dungeons like they did in the tutorial where it pauses the game and explains each boss or the mechanics of the boss and then make people play normal before playing vet.

I'm making perfect sense. The purpose of an international conference of, let's say, chemistry, is to discuss chemistry. Participants in there should be selected upon their knowledge about chemistry - not their level of english.
ESO being a video GAME (emphasy the word GAME) meant to be played for FUN, and everyone is welcome, regardless of their level of performance at the game. The main point is FUN, not performance.

Now if YOUR fun is to perform and you want to play with like-minded people, it's your responsibility to look and socialize with those people in order to play with them. People using group finder are ALLOWED to be bad, they're welcome there even if they're bad. If you have expectations, DON'T PUG.
