Depends if youcount in the houses I've funded that belongs to friends.
Including the house, I spent around 1,5-1,7 mill on my own house. (Forsaken Stronghold). I spent an additional ~500k on helping out my friends with their houses.(Although they're good at paying back! )

I've only spent a couple of hundred gold on the odd furnishing item from NPC merchants, my houses were bought furnished with subscription crowns and I intend to finish fitting them out with my own crafting and am concentrating for the moment on gathering mats and blueprints etc. none of which I intend to buy. I also aim to buy one more house with subscription crowns and that will be unfurnished so I can focus my crafting efforts there over the long term. Then I'll see what the housing options are in Morrowind ! Buying houses with gold isn't an option for me as I don't have anything to do with the trading system and don't therefore have much gold.
Honestly, not that much. I am fairly stingy when it comes to spending my money, as I am trying to save it up from all the heisting I do on my thief/assassin character. So far I have spent around 70k on a few furnishings and the purchase of a house. Blueprints and such have been farmed so far, and a few cheap ones have been purchased. So I guess... 75k.
45K on the house... maybe 30K on patterns/designs/bluesprints. 10K on mats, I bought some at the start but then I collected enough. Not counting the style mats...
I now have a housing fund preparing for my next house... mostly because I want somewhere to put all these cool things I can make... oh and selling master writs makes me a ton of gold and I have more than I need right now.
Basically made up for my pattern design spending by selling the purple and blue ones I found that i can't use because my crafts are across different characters.
0 gold pieces.
At first I was so ecstatic about the prospect of getting a home in ESO but when it finally came out, it's just too bland honestly speaking as it lacks that 'atmosphere' and features that Oblivion and Skyrim offered.
In terms of the different type of properties ESO has, they offer a lot of variations but they're mostly 'copy and paste' of existing structures as I'm sure everyone is aware of.
I will wait it out a little longer to finally buy a house in the game to see if ZoS decide to add more features and even more flavour to new homes.
Also, 14mil is HUMONGOUS mang! My alltime gold record is around 750k LOL. That's just a tiny weeny fraction of what you have spent.

The only gold i will spend for my house is the unique achievement items. I have found enough furnishing blueprints, patterns etc to create a nice looking house. Like many of you its just the mats that is holding me back from creating my Ice and Fire themed dream. one day...

About 1.5mln. Most of that is the cost of the Hunding Palace. The rest is stuff from the Luxury/Achievement vendor.
I will not buy a manor. None of them are better than the Hunding Palace.
I have not bought any writ vouchers (I only do the ones that I farmed myself).
I have not bought any blueprints (only use the ones that I farmed myself or the ones that I got from the purple writ voucher envelopes).
I have not bought any furnishing mats (only using the ones I found myself).
My house is far, far from completion. It's mostly empty. But housing never really interested me, and it's more of a long-term project. Like I'd add a few items each week, and maybe in a year, it'll be furnished.
Around 4mil.. the ad manor and a bunch of conservatory items to make rawl'ka look more like auridon.. over 100k to add a lawn (sunk into the ground hedges)... i know there are auridon homes but i wanted the large outdoors for test dummy an attuneable craft stations etc.
Around 50-100k, mostly getting rare provisioning i needed. Very few of that was spent on blueprints. I just usually farm those. I get so giddy about getting a new blueprint then going to go make the item, then to place it in my house. Not sure if anyone else feels the same way. I find that to be really fun for some reason.
