ZOS For god sakes... Remove DLC dungeons from the normal group finder!!!! (RANT!!)

Non stop wipes on this one particular group that I was in. All LOW LEVELS! Not even CP, newborn babies. They didn't even have enough DPS to deal with the Lord warden, on normal! I was burning up all of my magicka at a fast and rapid pace due to trying to carry 3 players because my current rotation, and build is for group settings so my sustain isn't good. You make these DLC dungeons way too hard for the lowbies. DPS is a large part of this game. Do you expect low DPS lowbies to handle DLC dungeons without being carried by a capped level like myself? I don't think so.

At least have players do a quick DPS test prior to being put into a situations where they may not be able to take.

So anyhow more ranting....After being fed up with the wipes and your stupid armor repair crap that you've implemented into this game (Funny how arrows from bow users have unlimited arrows while our armor gets damage) I decided to leave. I tried asking people in my Guilds if they wanted to do a random normal, and got zero response so I had to dreadfully make the decision to use your group finder yet again to do my random normal.... and GUESS WHAT? Your group finder put me into ANOTHER round of Imperial city prison with a new crowd of LOWBIES. No thanks.

    You seriously don't have 3 friends ?

What would fix this is a level req for normals and a cp requirement for vets, cold be solved easily.

There used to be level requirements for the dungeons. But One Tamriel happened and the level requirements went away.

One issue is folks have got it in their head that cp 600 means a player knows what they are doing, this is not guaranteed as they are just as likely to have just done that zombie grind for two weeks and so don't necessarily know one end of the build from the other, if a normal dungeon becomes that much of a slog, with my little tank doing three quarters of the damage, I just walk away.

Most normal dungeons aren't a problem, i never ever pug vet, it's just not worth the stress, if they don't listen when I try to explain mechanics I just leave them to their fate. I don't get cross over it. Like RoM where you need the torch from the atronachs and get chased by the tick things, if they keep fighting them after I tell them not to I just leave em behind as when they die they get dumped back in the arena and I can Rez them there at leisure.

The one that I utterly avoid now is dark shade caverns two, because getting the little beggers to do the end boss mechanics in there makes splitting the atom look like childsplay, please ZOS make it one leaver not four... pretty please.... :(

What i dont get in this game is why people dont wait in the beginning of the dungeon and ask. Hey has everybody here done this dungeon yet? If not then we will explain the boss mechanics when we get to the bosses. It would make dungeon runs so much smoother. The players in this game is the most impatient players i have seen. It takes 60 secs or less to explain dungeon mechanics. I have played MMOs before, where you dont pull the first adds before you make sure everybody is on the same page. In ESO i feel like there is hardly any teamwork and people never ever communicate in dungeons at all.

I have done this countless times and everyone just runs off and ignores it. Hell most of the time if you explain the mechanics they don't pay attention, or they have the chat window off.

I always liked to believe that the 600's knew what they were doing, and for the most part they have in my experience. Though yesterday was something really confusing to me. I did my daily random on my new character which is level 35. The DPS and tank were both in their 40s and the other DPS was 400 something CP. Somehow, that 400+ cp guy was just getting completely smashed on. I have never had to heal someone so much and pay that much attention on a normal dungeon. I just could not figure out how they were so squishy.

I had something worse happen to me two days ago. I was PuGging it because it was the middle of the day and my friends were no on yet. We had a lower cp guy in the group, first thing out of his fingers was this is the first time here. The healer and I are like, "Okay no problem thanks for letting us know we will fill you in in boss fights as we get to them.". We clear trash NP get to boss I type Wait, so that I can type out plan to deal with boss, the tank has other ideas and pulls boss. After the 2nd wipe because a we were not ready the first time and he was in such a hurry that buy the time he actually read the text me and healers sent saying we are trying to tell the cp80 guy how the fight goes. His reply oh sorry didn't see that. It wouldn't have been so bad if the *** didn't do the same *** the very next boss. It was like he just didn't believe that someone might need to learn the fight because they can't just hit tanuts and hold block ftw like a tank can.

On a more serious note, i would really like an opt out option.
I for one have arachnophobia and would prefer to skip spindle and selene ( one advantage of esos cartoonish look, i don't freat complety out)
Also certain dungeons are far longer than others and im just for the daily xp bonus. Espcially the dlc dungeons take a while.

@jlmecub14a_ESO that actually might be due to several reasons:
    • player have not repaired their armor
    • wear level 40 gear on cp600 char because it is purple and the only set they own
    • they forgot to put on 2-3 armor pieces last time they checked their gear
    • do not use blue food buff that increases hp/mag or hp/stam
    • stands in stupid because of l2p issues
    • stands in stupid because green-red colorblind
    • takes aggro before the tank and get overwhelmed by damage
    • uses certain aoe skills and get aggro from mobs, before the tank can taunt them all
    • uses Guard and can't take the incomming damage
    • plays in first person mode
    • last stage of vampirism with low defences in a heavy fire dungeon, such as City of Ash
    • champion points all spent wrong for pve purpose
This is pretty much what I can remember I've experienced from max level players, I am at my first cup of coffee today....

Never had a problem in dlc dugeon. They are soloable in normal. And pretty nerfed already. Remember hard times in wgt or first versions of CoS

CoS is not soloable, stop speaking out of your ass pugs
Well, what do you expect from someone who says that Engine guardian is the best set ever :P /s
Well, you can in theory solo nCoS with a magSorc pet build.

nCoS is likely soloable if you can throw an ult right before Dranos' adds chain you and burn them before he stabs you. I'm sure that the similar Bandu (FG2) and Nerien'eth (CoH2) mechanics have been beaten solo the same way. It works with any magicka build, as elemental rage has a huge range and inflicts sufficient damage to cover and kill adds fast. Not sure about vet versions though, as their health is higher.

Well, that's why I don't throw my chars into any kind of group content until I have at least:
    - leveled them to 50, which is by far the easiest part
    - fully trained skills to morph rank IV and specced all passives at least the 3 class, 2 weapon, one armor, the relevant guild skill lines, and in the case of stamina chars leveled assault enough to get vigor and caltrops - playing without the former is not fun at all on most classes
    - made sure I developed an effective skill set and rotation needed to fulfill the designated role
    - equipped them with purple set gear of the appropriate level
In practice I do far more than that. And that's out of respect for other players. I don't want to make a fool of myself bringing half baked, ineffective builds that hamper the group.

Yes, I have posted about this before. The dungeon finder won't let low-level new players do ordinary dungeons that are above their level, but it pushes them into the DLC stuff with their complicated mechanics first chance it gets.

And yes, you do get the uber elite players who tell us they were soloing it at level 10 in vet mode. Yeah right, like we believe you.

I usually ask. They usually don't answer, pull the bosses before you're done explaining mechanics, die to mechanics they don't get, then blame you for it:/

My favourite is when you repeatedly ask if everyone knows the fight, get a lone "yes" in groupchat so assume that's true for everyone, then after 5-10 wipes it turns out it's someone's first dungeon ever.

I don't think that qualifies as "random" so it doesn't award the daily XP bonus and reward container.

Under 160cp ppl shound't be able to queue for veteran dungeons, not only talking about of the lack of knowledge, skills and gear, but the fact that they can't trade ***! It's a damn waste of slot in the group if you farming something. Though, for normal dungeons I totally aproves they acess to any queue.

Vaults of Madness is unlocked at level 45, it's one of the easiest dungeons in the game. So why is CoS unlocked at level 10, that doesn't make any sense.

So, either make ALL dungeons unlock at level 10 (which would lower the likelihood for low levels to get into Dlc-dungeons), or make the dlc ones unlock at 45+.

To those people that say "just explain them the mechanics": some players don't react to ANY message, not even when you whisper them, and run obviously broken builds.

Please don't take this as lowbie-bashing. I have completed VICP with a level 10-20 group and I have had a 750cp guy in my group who just spammed steel tornado all the time, with a few reflective scales in between...

Ok, leave only fungal 1. Other dungeons are too hard to carry low levels through them.
