Why doesn't purchasing Morrowind also grant you champ points?

For example. When you purchase the latest expansion in WoW, they add a free boost so that you can experience the new content. Why isn't it being done here? We should get our champion points boosted to 500 or 550 when we purchase Morrowind. What do you all say? Because the way it is now, a player can be away from the game for 2 years and when he comes back, he is sooo far behind and has to do boring grinding by killing mobs over and over. It is stupid.

No. All I ask is that people who purchase the game that are not capped at 600, we should get boosted up to 500 atleast. Just so we can atleast be closer to everyone else. Those who are already at 600 get free crowns maybe?

Global scaling -> access to all areas
    Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

Seriously? The cap is 600 right now and you only want to grind 50 points? Would not be fair to those that stuck with it and ground their points out. It's not zos fault you didn't want to play for two years. It's a long grind, but only has to be done once since they are account wide. Be thankful for that. Next they will be putting instant level cap with 600 cp in the crown store.

I don't understand. Thanks to One Tamriel, you have access to all of the content, regardless of your level. It's an entirely different model from WoW.

Why would you need additional champ points to experience the new content in Morrowind?

As others said this isn't a zone level game. Morrowind can be played as a new game or a continuation, you only need C160 to play it at end game level so there isn't a need for a boost.

    No, just no

Morrowind is its own game, you can start a new character there. Do you suggest giving a brand new account 600 CP just for buying Morrowind and not doing anything else in the game?

You don't need to be "closer to everyone else" to play and enjoy the game. You don't need to be CP 600 to play and enjoy Morrowind. You don't need to grind mobs over and over to get max CP.

You are choosing to worry about it and choosing to do it that way. You don't have to.

I have 749CP and I did not spend one minute grinding mobs. I played the damn game and had fun doing it.

We have a double XP event starting tomorrow, do it, use XP pots and you gain XP and CP faster than you know.

This, add that CP in ESO is a lot like gear level in WOW, its an slow level up after you reach max level.
Gear in ESO don't work like in WOW you are mostly after set or specials for extra proc.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

Put in the work, simple as that. Battlegrounds is suppose to be no CP; so no complaining there from a max cp player. Do not expect a free boost from anything, there are no cp campaigns and universally levelled (scaled) overland zones and it will continue onto Morrowind(I think). The only true instances where you are at the disadvantage is when on a CP campaign and for any PVE related endgame content like Veteran AA. Those instances you rely more on your cp numbers and top notch gear. You are asking to be on an 'even playing field' I understand. You are on one because everything since One Tamriel low levelled wise is buffed throughout. The only differences/disadvantages and I stress this; is gear sets/racial/class and the non existent will to grind cp (Do you know how long it took to get CP prior to Orsinium?). The game is much more user friendly, and to be honest it should be the long term players saying 'WHAT? I wish it was that easy when we started!'. But we do not! (<_<)Because it is very easy now, and that is a good thing Zos did. Good luck; and enjoy Morrowind.

Ps. I do not want crowns, that does not make up for the hundred+ or so hours of maximizing your account. I want more focus on balance(Sets/Server/Cp) and a better loot system that rewards hours of dedication(People grind Vma brain dead); as well as making craftable sets important. You know? Things that can make the high potential ESO shine, or once high potential.

Edit: XP boost is tomorrow! Get out of here.. Noww.

This isn't wow. Doesn't take much to earn CP at all. If you grind you can hit max CP in no time. Just doing content everyday you'll earn cp and will get max sooner are later. With the double XP jester event coming up on the 23rd of March now is the time to get those CP, grind I say and I'm sure you'll be at 600 before the event is over. CP is not holding you or anyone back from experiencing new content. Everything scales to your current level in any dungeons, zones etc. I don't see any need to give players any CP. You want the game to hand you stuff without earning them.

if ZOS made it any easier to get CP they might as well just do away with them and give everyone a max level toon as soon as they log in for the first time. People NOT playing the game and learning things is what is driving away a lot of the vets. We already have too many cp600 players that do not have a clue what they are doing or why they are doing it.

...you realize that if you're low level and you get buffed to at least 160 cp, you'll be heaps WEAKER than before and will have to recraft all gear(150 mats per piece at cp 160, too) and upgrade it in order to be at the level of power you were getting for free before that with battle leveling? :p Are you sure sure that's what all the low level players want?

    This isn't wow.

You are actually scaled to the content if you are below 160 cp. That's why all the mobs are 160 cp. The content doesn't scale to you. Kind of the same thing, but slightly different.

If the content was scaled to us that would mean each person had their own instance since each person is a different level.

But I agree this is most definitely not wow, so what wow does is irrelevant. With everyone being scaled to the content there is no reason to be given free cp.

In the end people are just lazy and want things handed to them. We have had numerous exp events with another about to happen. If someone doesn't take advantage of the events, they have no one to blame.

    • This isn't World of Warcraft.
    • All zones scale to you including the upcoming Morrowind.
    • All Champion Points are shared meaning your Warden will be CP 600 the moment it hits level 50.
    • Further all Champion Points are available to a new character you create and don't have to wait until level 50 to set.
    • It's not that hard to get to level 50, especially using ESO+ or a Pledge of Mara.

Also the whole WoW boost thing. Do you know how many players screamed bloody murder about it? I don't want a boosted tank cause they don't know what they are doing, I don't want a boosted healer cause they don't know what they are doing, Boosted toons don't know how to play their class, etc and so on.

Because with battle sprit it isn't necessary. This wasn't a very well thought out statement. 500 cp isn't going to help you if you've been away for 2 years. Give you 500 cp and then what all the bis gear as well? Sure cheapen it for those who have stuck around and spent a year leveling and grinding for those pieces to make that perfect build.
