    bonus 2-4 bsw is better..
    5 set bonus: When you have more then 50% uptime of bsw it is better then julianos...

    What little I've read and know, burning spell weave (bsw) is better for 4 man dungeons.

    Like said before, it is always better than julianos IF 50% or more uptime.
    If not, you'd better go with julianos... know that it is not to hard to get 50% or more as like al magicka classes use fire staff on main bar for competitive DPS..

    and yes, there are some very good alternative builds for sorcs!

    They share two common bonuses + Magicka, +1 x 3% Spell Crit

    Beyond that:

    Julianos = +3% Spell Crit vs BSW.

    BSW = effective +230 Spell Damage vs Julianos. (+600 Dmg 8 of 12 seconds = +400 Dmg) (+129 Damage item bonus) for a total of +529 dmg vs Jul's 299

    If you're throwing out fire anything, BSW will net you more DPS, plus it can proc (and be proc'd by) Ilambris.

    I am neither warm, nor fuzzy...
    Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS

    Thank you for the information. Currently, using one lighting staff and one fire atm.

    BSW is BiS for trials, no question about it.

    You could, but you'd be better off with 5 BSW and 4 Moondancer. Or 5 BSW, 3 Willpower, and a generic Destro.

    Burning Spellweave is BiS for a non-pet Sorc.

    Julianos is good, but not as good.

    With fire blockade and Force pulse you will have BSW uptimes of 60-64%. Its way better than Julianos, especially when you only run it on one bar (e.g 5 piece Moondancer Backbar), since you keep the buff once its active.
    If you play a pet Sorc in trials Necropotence is an option too, but BSW is still very decent with a pet.
