The best DPS in the world weave light attacks between poison injection, rapid strikes or whatever their spamable attack might be.
A good dps knows his dot timers and will go through a rotation of attacks that might not be visible to allies due to animation canceling.
Werewolves in Vet Dungeons are not helpful. They cannot revive or synergize ultimates etc. Fearing mobs does not help aggro and is not efficient. They can do great burst damage on a single target, but wolves have to spend time with their face on the ground feeding or that dps is over. When you calculate damage per second (dps) wolves have too much down time feeding to keep a rotation going against a 3 million hp boss. Werewolves are great for pvp applications but do not fit in the dungeon group role.
Two-Handed weapons are great for Single Target DPS. Skilled players can make this work, but suffer in fights where you are in mobs or if a boss is out of reach. Primarily two handed weapons are for buffing up with rally and pvp applications.
Heavy armor is not the best for maxing out dps, but some wear 5, 1, 1, for survival. I say a squishy DPS causes the healer to work harder than he needs to work. You can't do damage while dead. That is why many stamina dps from PVP run 5 heavy. 20k health in a vet dungeon says they don't have as much offense as the guy with 18k if all other things were equal. However, many one shot mechanics are hitting for about 18k. It is a deadly balance that comes down to many factors. Either way, you won't know what armor I am wearing and if I am doing my job you will never stress about it.
You forgot Vampires, do you kick them also? If fully fed they are just like you and I, but starved and they melt in the fire regardless of being a dunmer or champ points. Do not go into vet City of Ash without a full feeding you bloodsuckers. ; )
Me personally, I realize the group finder is broken and I am lucky to get any group. When someone is having trouble I help them if they will accept the help. I have over 1000 cp so I know how to help. I have played every role so it is time to help the new players.
MAKE SURE YOU TRY HELPING YOUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS BEFORE YOU KICK THEM! These are real people, not Ai and kicking people might give someone a power trip, but how are you helping anything by kicking them? They will justfind a new group and keep making the same errors we all made when we started. Be the guy who helps, not the guy who kicks.
Thank You,
Floki
OP in my post above I asked about vampires. Are they an auto kick also?
Thank you,
Floki

Nah, sweetie. You got it backwards. See, the PC community doesn't care about your console peasant opinion. That's why console peasants like you make silly threads like this telling everyone they're "triggered" to justify the real reason for this thread, which is "I'M A GAMER TOO WAHHHHHH!"
IronCrystal wrote: »While I agree that your examples are very common cases of bad dps, it's not impossible to do good (relatively like 20-25k) in the hands of an experienced player with heavy armor, 2H weapons, etc.

You really should calm down with this elitism. People can run around in 7 heavy to level it up, nobody needs approval from someone like you.
Get real.

2h is fine if you have the aoe execute. Even single target I get 25k pretty easily which is more than most of the people you end up grouping with.

And its always no hard feelings when we kick someone hopefully they learn a lesson on why they got kicked
Do you tell them why and give advice or just kick them without explanation and hope they figure it out?
Yes i always tell them the truth
"You're Dps stinks bud gotta move on"
Let me repeat myself: Do you tell them why and give advice or just kick them without explanation and hope they figure it out?
Your answer points to "No I don't tell them why, I just hope they figure it out"
Can you not read?
I tell them their dps stinks. For the second time
Ok ok...so...if you've got a friend that has really bad halitosis...
If you say, 'Dude, your breath reeks!' ...that's something...BUT, if you say 'Dude, your breath reeks, and you should try these uber-awesome mints I found, they really help,' that is called giving advice.
Make sense?
Makes total sense thats why im trying to help people unlike you trying to baby them
Like grow up we arent kids this game is for 18 and up if you cant handle adults telling you what you are doing wrong or in your case if you just baby them all the time and say just play for fun you arent helping at all.
But you're not actually helping anybody by simply kicking them and then crying on the forums about it. He's asking you what actually proactive steps you are taking in order to fix the problem of bad players.
I stated in the OP that you can look up builds and tips from pros on youtube etc...
I gave examples of why I WOULD kick someone and i gave tips on how to fix that including doing your own research.
And i had a great time
Why no heavy armor? I mean sure, meduim and light have obvious dps advantages in passives, but heavy has some useful passives as well.
Why no 2 handers? Is their dps really that bad?
Why no werewolf? On my stamblade my WW is my go to for deeps, seeing as I have all the skills morphed and at level 4.
Someone care to enlighten me?
TL;DR: we are *** and you should learn from us being *** because we are the bestIhatenightblades wrote: »Things that will get you kicked by group members ( INCLUDING ME )
***Edit - No need to be triggered this is simply for people who dont know why they are getting kicked and would like not to get kicked
Anymore***
1. Make sure to set your group role to what you actually do.
2. DO NOT COME IN WITH HEAVY ARMOR IF YOUR A DPS
3. DO NOT USE A 2 hander in vet dungeons
4. DO NOT SPAM LIGHT ATTACKS AND POISON INJECTION WITH YOUR BOW
5.DO NOT GO WEREWOLF FORM IN VET DUNGEONS AROUND ME
Those 5 actions above will get you kicked in no time by a lot of people including me
Im a nice guy but i dont got time to be sitting there watching u spam light attacks with a bow or sit there with your 23k health heavy armor dps LOL.
My last advice is to look up dps builds if you are new and struggling. There is no need to try to struggle with a weak dps build dps is very easy to pull off.
And its always no hard feelings when we kick someone hopefully they learn a lesson on why they got kicked

Can someone enlighten me as to the problem wearing heavy armour if you're DPS? I thought armour weight was more or less cosmetic. Like I said I'm new.

If u want to run through content with good players and carry you're own weight you should take more time on you're build and it will be worth it
Lol cheers

Most people won't kick you in 4 man content, even vet, for lagging behind, they may take issue with low DPS however, mainly because ESO dungeons are boring at the best of times so people try to quickly get them out of the way. I'll leave a team that's weak if I don't think they can finish content in a timely manner, but usually I won't kick anyone. After all, if they are not performing to a standard I have internally set, then I can go form a team to that standard.
Anyway, if you look at the heavy armour skill line, the passives are all about survival, so blocking, recovery, mitigation. If you look at the passives for light and medium they are about damage and critical hits. This is typical RPG design and all stems from the daddy of them all, D&D, where heavy armour can take the hits but it's the rogue and mage classes who deal the big damage but are made to wear light armour to operate.

Well, if you're high enough, you can practically solo all normal dungeons and "certain" vet dungeons. I like to solo those dungeons and other PvE land contents, like world bosses. I have both HA-based and medium-based build, and yes, you do get a bit more overall weapon damages from the medium armor passive, but, I fair better soloing those contents with my HA build. The HA build gets more health-focus and resistance. Plus, my weapon damage isn't too far off, especially, if I use a 5-piece set that proc extra 600 or so weapon damages. Medium-based toons are great in group because they can dps fast and don't have to worry about dying when they are being healed by the healer. However, solely against certain bosses or dungeons, I think they are squishier. So, if they are dying, they can't dps, and the boss will reset each time. HA-based build enables you to have that survivability while still dishing out decent dps. Not saying a medium-based dps can't solo. I'm sure there are those that are skilled and experienced enough to tackle even the vet dungeons, but for me, I fair better with my HA build.
