ofc all this "No Lag" *** comes from players who just pursue their No-CP PvP agenda.

We had 1500 Ping today on TF EU.

Its ZOS, common, did you really think this change would improve anything?

You still can get 3500 reg builds on your springs/speed/deto-spammer chars, even without CPs. And those AoE Spambility BULL_*** is the only reason *** is lagging but they cant change anything because PVEers need those springs to get through their Raid content.

Whole healing system needs a *** overhaul to fix this mess...

I haven't been lagging too badly, but my FPS has been noticeably worse.
Also I've noticed that weapon swap doesn't seem to always work, or it's kind of delayed?

I'm undecided on whether I'd prefer to play on no cp or not. In theory, I'd prefer there to be no cp. In practice, I enjoyed playing on the cp campaign more than the no cp.

I've been playing on Trueflame PCNA. I'm not going to say there's been no lag during this test. I am going to say that there has been way less lag than usual though.

In my opinion there are 2 things which are heavily impacting the accuracy of this weeks test.

    1. Without CP players die a lot easier and are unable to tank the large amounts of damage they usually do. They can't sustain as long either. This results in less abilities being fired off in fights.

    2. The large amount of AP gained from O ticks encourages people to zerg objectives which have little resistance, and rewards them all ridiculous amounts of AP. I feel as though this reduces the amount of enemy zergs colliding head on as they get more AP now if they avoid each other and get O ticks. (It's also horrible for the health of PvP)

These 2 things are probably reducing the amount of lag slightly, so it is hard to know as a player whether or not the CP system itself impacts server performance. Only Zos will be able to tell for sure, we will have to put faith in the data they collect. :P

"No" lag is obviously incorrect. But for me TF was playable even with 3 factions locked and a 3 way last emp keep fight. I could use gap closers and skills would fire. Prior to this test, that was not the case.

No one I know has claimed that there is no server lag present. Many feel, as I do, that the game feels less laggy when compared to similar situations with CP enabled. Previously, I was not a fan of CP disabled PVP. This test has made one of me.

But as Stalker says, only ZOS has the data to reach an objective conclusion.

I wouldnt call it objective when it was their idea in the first place. If they support the contention that its CP that is causing lag but then do not share the results with everyone else and then say that CP was the cause then everyone else here has the right to call ***.

What I mean is that ZOS engineers should have enough data and knowledge about their systems to reach conclusions based on facts -- versus our casual observations about how the game feels based on conditions we are able to observe. For example, I can guestimate how many players are at a fight while ZOS can know for certain.

Fair enough, thats more clear thanks.

But to be honest even if they have the data, surely they would of acted a long time ago to deal with the issues if the data was conclusive hell for all we know they could have a massive memory on their server and not even know it or at least know it but are not able to figure out where the leak is coming from.

So if half the playerbase is lagging and half isn't it's probably not the CP that's causing the lag.

    The writing's on the wall.

    Yup

EP had their entire faction at BRK I'd say D.C. Had half and it never lagged, never saw a red ping despite non stop action

Just ping alone is a huge diff for me. The fights I'm seeing Azura would be red ping unplayable on TF a weeks ago.

Trueflame right now, 12:10 AM EST, laggy as all hell. Skills cast after 10 second delay and what not, and that's if they go off at all. Siege damage doesn't even render until you hit 0 health. The only difference right now between non-cp and cp is with cp I can actually survive long enough to realize I'm being hit by siege or cc'ed.

Well all the people claiming no lag you are full of sht! The last emp keep before Mano got dethroned the lag there was averaging between 500-850 the whole time and that was a tri faction fight. So yes we still have lag with no CP.

I think what everyone should be worried about is the non stop crashes being back. 5 times in the matter of minutes and then not being able to get back in.

I've found it to be much more stable during the event. I'm at cap and am happy to play with CP, but if this week is anything to go by, perhaps performance is better without it.

Ultimately our opinions are irrelevant anyway. The data will tell the story, and we'll find out what that is soon enough.
