That may be a bonus in some games, but it isn't remotely what housing is about.
If players don't understand what the purpose of housing is in MMOs, then it's a safe bet to say that housing is not for them and they can save their gold/crowns. There are other ways of enhancing storage through increasing inventory and bank slots and if there's a genuine need for more storage other than to cater for the unreasonable expectations of hoarders then lobbying for those would hopefully be productive.
Because that's all your argument boils down to.
Of course, as I have done. Because having a house isn't about having additional storage - that was what my argument boiled down to.
That's assuming, of course, that we're not confusing storage slots with furnishing. I wouldn't necessarily buy a house that I couldn't furnish, but I don't buy houses in order to use them as inventory/bank overflows (and have never used them for that where the game has permitted it).
A fact that you conveniently left out of your post.
Storing items. Yes, you heard me. It's nice to dump off a painting into the house and have it be something I can sell down the road instead of taking up space in my bank. Besides, I don't think storage is coming any time soon. It would give me a place to store crafting materials instead of setting up a subscription for the crafting bag. (Can't help that I'm cheap.) Though they'd probably gate storage in houses behind a subscription account or crown store anyway.

well, it's entertainment. so to all those who don't think housing adds to the entertainment there is a simple message...
don't do it....
oh, and please stop ******* whining.

Ignores the entire purpose of this thread and then whines about people whining. BRILLIANT
I don't doubt that they will add in the plethora of missing features in the future.Housing is the correct step forward, it simply needs more features added.

This is what I keep asking about. Is there any practical use to housing?
It appears not. Bank/storage, crafting stations, vendors should be easy to get imo. Without these things in my house I feel no desire to return to it.
Yep, pretty much.DurzoBlint13 wrote: »This is what I keep asking about. Is there any practical use to housing?

the only practical application for housing is a place to put the DPS dummy (this is a bigger deal for us console peasants than it is for the Lords of PC). Other than that, it is all RP and bragging that you bought a bigger house than your friends as far as I can tell.

@Argruna I believe that once you place the painting in your house it becomes bound. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's been my experience so far with other types of furniture.
