So my comment stated that i beat the boss in around 6 seconds with gear i picked up. Meaning as long as it drops in glenumbra, its fair game.

No that was the original claim. I said that a few times.I did not just say that for the first time just now. He said a pickup weapon. So I suppose that means and unmodified weapon of your level from the environment. . Not a starter weapon I guess.

The quest boss fights in this game are a piece of cake. Either you're new or you're spamming light bow attacks, hoping it will be enough.

Try the battle now. Since the boss requires going completelly through the Glenumbra quest line . Probably at least 30-40 quests . You probably have not even fought this battle in several years. Certainly not since 1T was released. When was the last time you fought Angof or have you ever fought him.

This is me killing Angof about 15 minutes ago, naked on a level 12 character, with nothing but my sword, shield, food buff, and 200-something CP. I only needed to do like 5-6 quests to get there, not "at least 30-40", and as others have said, this boss is incredibly easy. Wearing any other gear at all and I would've been able to kill him quickly enough to bypass the mechanics altogether. As you should also be able to see in the video, you can get off far more than 1 attack in 6 seconds. In fact, not including DOT ticks, I got off 8 attacks in the first 6 seconds of the fight (medium attack, burning embers, choking talons, flame lash, flame lash, light attack, flame lash, flame lash, to be exact).

If you need help, ask for help and I'm sure others will be able to help you. But if you're going to come to the forums complaining about what is literally the easiest content in the game, and then try to argue about mechanics with people who are much more experienced than you (continually trying to argue that you can only get off 1-2 skills in 6 seconds, for instance), don't expect to get any sympathy.

That being said, if you'd like to post your build (gear and skills) I'd be more than happy to give you tips that'll not only help you get through this boss, but also help you become a better player in general. I'll even craft you some free gear if you need it.

There is nothing left to debate. You can't kill him in 6 seconds with a new character and pickup equipment that was the only debate. I killed him already. It takes a minute or so if you can survive. I never said it was a long battle. I said it was hectic chaos that was frustrating me.

Now, this is using crafted gear, as multiple times in this thread OP has said he couldn't be killed in 6 seconds by a new character period, and only after I had already fought the boss did a bunch of requirements on what I can or can't do pop up. Can he be killed by a new character in 6 seconds using only dropped gear? Probably. But after making a new character and going through this quest line twice now, I'm sure as hell not taking the time to do it again.

Sometimes, OP, you just need to trust that the people who've spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours playing this game know what they're talking about.

Not what was said so sorry no kissy toes..Super crafted gear is not in the equation..That was not the challenge. That thing was doing like 15k of damage. Your not going to find that anywher ein Glenumbra..

What did you do . Make that with a top skilled crafter and give it to your new guy. This was supposed to be a new character with a weapon picked up in Glenumbra. Give a guy a great weapon that does 5-10 times more damage than anything you could find around there and kills him before he can even get off one spell and of course its easyville. But that is not what was claimed. my entire debate was that the initial claim was not possible.

More infact i just looked at it closely . That thing is doing more than 30k damage a hit to him..even more infact cause it seems to have multiple effects..lol. Come on ..Jeez.... So don't act like you proved something to me. Thats not what was being talked about.

You have changed your parameters several times during this thread. It makes it super hard for us to win...

Sorry to necro this thread, but due to the nerfs in the Elswyr Expansion I can't seem to beat this boss on my CP 2240 Lilmothiit Warden health build. Should I buy the 110,000 crown gem spellcrafting respec token? Or just wait for the Dragon-Mount Capes Vampire Lord Children DLC?

I never changed anything. refer to page 2 post 2. for the challenge. Just because i did not spell it out every time. Its right there . That was the debate. Thats what I have been arguing. Thats what I said was impossible. I did not set up the intitial parameters they where already there.

@dbgager I'm just gonna say, enjoy this time where these quest bosses are difficult for you. There is a learning curve, over time you pickup the idea of swapping out skills (took me til like level 25 on my first character to do anything other than heavy attack for damage, playing with a friend and healing), using your second bar (probably around level 25 also I actually bar swapped more than 0.5 times a fight on average), using a secondary weapon type (very beneficial, took me til like level 50 to give in and slot a destruction staff), creating a well-rounded build for one's self (I don't know when, sometime early in veteran levels when I started doing vet dungeons, making myself a kit involving heals, shields, damage, buffs and debuffs...)

If someone's told you to put all your points into stamina, that's not good advice for playing your first time. Try mixing in some health, a couple pieces of heavy armor, make sure nothing you're wearing is broken, try keeping on enemies and getting used to tells for "interrupt" and "heavy". You'll look back on this experience and have a laugh at yourself one day ^^

The fact that you think you need to be a skilled crafter to make good crafted sets, or that crafted weapons do 5x more damage than dropped weapons, or are even better than dropped weapons, for that matter, is just your lack of experience showing. Some of the best sets in the game are overland dropped sets.

And now you're trying to say skills with multiple effects aren't allowed either? That just because you don't know how to do decent damage other new character shouldn't be able to either? How do you know that the other guy didn't find a good dropped set, and have a good dps rotation with all the proper buffs?

You're right, I may not have proved anything to you, but that's okay, because I have proved to anybody that will ever read this thread that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, nor do you have the willingness to actually learn what is going on.

Thanks Catagere. I am not trying to troll or anything. I very much like the game and most of my threads up to this point have reflected that. I am just very frustrated with this battle and would like to get past it so I can proceed to the next area. I am new to the game although I did play it for a month when it was first released although I did not put a lot of hours into it. Maybe I should have kept my frustration to myself..But people when they get frustrated usually strike out at what is frustrating them.

Really, I've seen a whole lot of people offer help to the OP. I've also seen him ignore pretty much every question adked to gather more details. I've seen alot of questions being asked to figure out what fight it is to give the op some pointers on boss strategy, each time his response is 'oh no don't worry it's too hard'.

Honestly, he's just here to complain. If he wanted to improve he'd just level up and come back, maybe get better gear. Youtube the fight, perhaps even give feedback to the people who wasted their time trying to help this thing out. Eventually we're going to get to a point where we need to tel op that we've had enough of his petty sniveling, and that if he wants anymore help from other people he will need to put his big boy pants on and meet them halfway

Being a newbie sucks, but he still has a long ways to go if he's going to clear any content.

Well if that 50k damage staff is available as a drop in Glenumbra get it. Thing is its not...Very doubtful anything like that is going to be dropped.

And then you try to come at me like am stating something that is not true when your the one trying to put one over on me. Stick to the challenge if you can do that I will admit I am wrong. Thats the only thing I was arguing with . If he would have said I crafted a super weapon and beat it in 6 seconds I would have not questioned it.

You barely did it with a 50k damge weapon..
