It's pretty bad that 600's already have so much advantage over ther sub 300 players. If CP keeps getting raised, then PVP will be destroyed. No one wants to compete with someone who has a 20% stat advantage over them. My votes no. I already hate CP how it is.

And then people playing ESO in 15 years will be dealing with a cap of 2000+ and they'll say "no thanks" like people do when they look at Everquest or Asherons Call or Lord of the Rings Online. Power creep is a problem and I think it's great that the base level for PVE is going to stay at 160 so they can focus on making the game super optimized for 160 like ArenaNet did with Guild Wars 1 and they stuck with their cap throughout 3 expansions.
You guys really don't think this through. The higher it goes, the more intimidating it is for newcomers. I'd prefer to have a community in 15 years instead of see my numbers go up.
ESO is not going to last 15 years LOL

Newcomer have catch up mechanics giving them CP faster than ever.

People said the same thing about Ultima Online / Everquest and it's approaching its 20th anniversary. What reason does it have to die? They own the IP. They can keep it going as long as they want.
Well its an expansion so it raising cp by 30 would be a slap In the face.
Lets say they never increased the cp cap then can I sell the cp I've already earned for rewards I have 723 cp currently by years end I'll probably be close to 900 and that extra Cp just sits there I can't use it so can I sell it or something it really bothers me that I have 123+ cp just sitting there unused forever.
Pretty sure they said it was going to be 600. On console so not sure if it was said about homestead or morrowind, but it was one of those 2.
I hope that when Morrowind releases we get a huge CP cap increase this 30-39cp every patch has been weak.
Since this is an expansion I hope they increase cp cap by a minimum of 100 cp I would like to see it higher since it's an expansion but 100 seems just right not to high not too low.
So what do you guys think?

It was fun one shorting lowbies for a little while, but I think balance, and encouraging new players to the game is better for the longevity of the community, and should be prioritized.
600cp is already intimidating enough for a new/returning player.
The bigger the community, the better for all of us IMO.

I agree. Again the cp system is a cool concept but entirely broken and misused. It breaks good balance in pvp along with proc sets of course. And in pve most people ive ran into look down on you for trials and even dungeons if you aren't capped. There's gotta be a better system than cp. Yes its a good carrot too dangle for some people for a while,but when your capped it stops doing much for you. Most end game players min/max so most points go into a select few trees anyways. So the variety in trees is relatively useless as well.

@RebornV3x
This would only be the case of they were raising the gear cap. ESO has not raised level cap like other games to begin with so it should not be expected now.
