CP Cap Increase in Morrowind...

I hope that when Morrowind releases we get a huge CP cap increase this 30-39cp every patch has been weak.

Since this is an expansion I hope they increase cp cap by a minimum of 100 cp I would like to see it higher since it's an expansion but 100 seems just right not to high not too low.

So what do you guys think?

Probably 30. The 39 increase was probably to smooth it out so the level cap is a round number, as opposed to 591 or something similar. It might go up by 60, but I doubt it.

As long as the new cap is below 789 plus whatever I manage to accrue until Morrowind, I am fine with it.

    See what I did there?

Just increase it to 1200 then whole CP cap nonsense can go away. Build diversity comes into play, do you want to minmax? Do you want to hybrid? Do you want all the passives or stack all into 1 constellation?

Few balances are in order. Lower blessed to 16%, change the 3x armor passives to help the skill line more. Remove ironclas and replace with physical.
This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

They said before they were not going to do large increases, so I fully expect we'll continue to see quarterly small increases.

Pretty sure they said it was going to be 600. On console so not sure if it was said about homestead or morrowind, but it was one of those 2.

And then people playing ESO in 15 years will be dealing with a cap of 2000+ and they'll say "no thanks" like people do when they look at Everquest or Asherons Call or Lord of the Rings Online. Power creep is a problem and I think it's great that the base level for PVE is going to stay at 160 so they can focus on making the game super optimized for 160 like ArenaNet did with Guild Wars 1 and they stuck with their cap throughout 3 expansions.

You guys really don't think this through. The higher it goes, the more intimidating it is for newcomers. I'd prefer to have a community in 15 years instead of see my numbers go up.

So this game is pretty unbalanced and things become op as a result of CP. And you want to increase cp each patch? Why? What's the point?

I say no no no no. It's already bad enough. There is PLENTY of cp. If anything, reduce diminishing returns, allowing higher values with the same ammount of CP. It's pretty bad that 600's already have so much advantage over ther sub 300 players. If CP keeps getting raised, then PVP will be destroyed. No one wants to compete with someone who has a 20% stat advantage over them. My votes no. I already hate CP how it is.

This would only work if CP was purely horizontal, but it's purely vertical. There's a reason the devs capped CP in the first place, and that's because there's so much power in the system that it created a tremendous rift between old and new players.

There must always be a universal ceiling on player power. If players can progress absolutely forever, then there is no way to balance the game for both new and experienced players.

There is never a way to balance new and higher level players except for separating them in level tiers which frankly I would hate.

Battle leveling does a good job as I find my lower level characters to be stronger than my highest level characters except for gear so right there is another reason newer characters have power disadvantage in gear.

I would love a great cp increase, until hybrids got good bonus.
But… I would strongly love to see a big rework on bonus number ; no cp bonus should give more than 5% effect with 100 points invested. 16%/25% is far too strong.

The problem is that there are people with 1700cp. They mostly got that by exploiting xp gains right after the change.
That's why there were people with millions in bounty. They were sitting in houses killing npcs that instantly respawned. Some did it AFK with macros while others just heavy attack key jammed.

ZOS never punished those exploiters and many are still playing.

Because everyone maxing out the system is diverse. Right.

If you want build diversity we need stat caps. Either had or soft, it doesn't really matter which. Hard lines that say, "nope, no further on this path." Forcing players to decide where else they should allocate their remaining resources.

Probably 30. The 39 increase was probably to smooth it out so the level cap is a round number, as opposed to 591 or something similar. It might go up by 60, but I doubt it.

    @RebornV3x

This is what is likely based on comments from Zos about CP in the game and how they have managed CP increases for the past year.

To clarify, we do not plan on raising the gear cap when Morrowind launches in June. We’ll let you know when we plan to raise the gear cap in the future, but it won’t be in Homestead or Morrowind.
