Hope anyone exploiting gets banned or a big tag on your name that says "Cheater". My friends and I will continue to play honestly. So I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it. But if we see enemy faction just sitting around, we're gonna mop you up.

Sorry but if you knew that something was not working as intended and continued to abuse it then at least be man (or woman) enough to stand up and admit it.
But Baldy, what about roleplay?
As for being interested in content? Most of us are, make no mistake about that. But call us when the content won't reek of bugs and too little reward for too much dedication.
Just an example : today I logged in, went on TF - was met with a three-faction lagfest at Arrius Lumber, and a small group of 20 solo players that rushed to take back Faregyl Farm after I decided to find smallscale. Still, not being one to give up easily, I decided to come back and kite at least a few of them away (thing which I wasn't able to do because now Streak doesn't work on non-even surfaces or when being rooted. Still no ETA on fix btw). And as I was riding across the Cyrodiilic steppes on my trusted mare, I got petrified, whipped and incaped by a DK and a Nightblade which I failed to see. So, that was 20 minutes spent for 1.6k AP and no satisfaction from good fights.
At any rate, I felt it was time to join in on the immersive roleplaying at Bleakers on Haderus. Roleplay to which many "totally not casual" players participate too. Or well, at least until an organised raid is formed later today. But keep up the salt, please. So now it begs the question: Should I abuse it too? Will not abusing the AP farm set me back behind everyone else, since everyone else will be doing this?
It'd be fantastic since I rarely I have time for PvP anymore..... why not increase my AP gains both easily and drastically? I could stock up on AP and purchase like 10K Spell and Weapon pots to be permanently set for PvE which I mainly play. Insane benefits, no repercussions since it's within game mechanics and ZOS doesn't care.... I just hate how ZOS drops the ball everytime on things like this.
^ This. That's a good attitude to have. Come and join us at Bleakers, the doors are open for any open-minded player eager to share some roleplay bonding experiences. (Current prompt : capture the flag and avoid killing innocents in the process). Leave your weapons and AOE at the door, relax, and profit.

PvP zones are PvP zones, not zones that are meant for roleplaying.
Same as roleplaying is no excuse to exploiting, if you were there gaining AP you deserve to get banned. Period.

wow dude you must be pro, i'm sure everyone is scared of you and your friends...

You be better think about it while people are keep farming millions of ap

By the way... Haderus PC/EU today 3PM GMT+1:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIjn_zdoiwo&feature=youtu.be
"Look Mom, I'm famous". But beyond that, you Sir are a snitch. And nobody likes snitches.
I like snitches when they expose exploiting pieces of poo.

Just curious.. now that people are aware of the empower bug, and are doing things like this:
How would you suggest that be dealt with? What should the penalty be for:
1. Someone who went to BB mine and hung around for a bit having fun watching and chatting with friends
2. Someone who spent two hours mostly AFK and made a 500k AP
3. Someone who spent a solid day and made a few million AP
4. Someone who abused the empower bug to wipe massive groups using an aoe ult whose first tick did 50k+ damage
5. Someone who abused the empower bug to 1-shot someone (as in the image above) with the first tick of radiant
There are different severity of actions, some of which affect other people significantly, and some of which do not.
This is why I've been pushing for a framework / a code of ethics and standards for action -> reaction rather than leave it all subjective with many a hypocrite calling for penalties to be imposed on people who did a heck of a lot less impactful activities than they themselves did historically.

Considering people are doing the very same thing at almost the same AP/H rate in outposts "legally" makes punishing the BB mine exploit kind of pointless.
The system needs a tweak, ideally some kind of cooldown so you can't just flip the same objective repeatedly. @ZOS_BrianWheeler

I led a group that night and over the course of the evening like always we went past BB mine and had to flip it yellow because it was blue. As we tend to stay pretty active no one paid any attention to the tick and we went on to another fire that was needed. I think we probably hit that particular resource 3 or 4 time that night. On the 7th we were back in pvp at our normal time discussing things and retaking resources when the tick passed across my screen I looked at it and thought that's kind of odd but ok no big deal maybe several players died. So we went on up to DC territory and did what we normally do and then went of course we had to go back down later and this time the tick was the same 6k. Now I'm thinking wtf is this right? asked a couple friends to come over and flip it again so we can test it. Of course I posted the bug on the bug forum. At what point did I cheat or exploit this?
Lmao. It was over an hour. Testing? Smh. All these excuses may fool a newbie. But amyone with half a brain sees right through that.
I know u all are praying Zos is reading this and lowers the punishment. I get it. But u post BS excuses expect to be called out by it.
You and Crown can try all u want to deflect with proper engagement of debates all u want.
But fact is it was broken. U all tested it. Found how it benefitted u all. And abused the f out of it for persoanl gain

Ah but you see I posted it and shared with the entire community on how to do it. This doesn't change the fact that I have openly admitted to doing it for a few hours maybe gained a couple 100k of AP but I never once advanced so far in rank or ability that it affected other players. I consistently stay in the top 20 or so on every campaign and currently am only at in the top 30. I am still under AR 30 and only used the AP to buy gear which btw RNG is still shitting out worthless traits. So If I harmed anyone I harmed myself by wasting the time doing this that unfortunately I can never get back. Stop crying over spilt milk and just play the game. As I hear there are worse ways to be doing the AP farm and what I did was at least open and reported. So you can have your moral high ground but at this point you simply are pissed at everything that is wrong with the game.
