Yes the veteran zones was unpopular and people get too spread out at the end.How times change. Back when veteran ranks were around, you could venture through the veteran zones and encounter next to no one in the zones. Getting help with world bosses was nigh on impossible. Soloing dolmens was common due to the lack of population. To encounter other players outside of Cyrodiil, you generally had to hang out in the non vet zones.
I'm glad things changed. Its nice going through all the zones and finding a healthy player population.

When I sit down to play, odds are equal that I will log into my wife's account and level one of her characters.

Not because the Game is bad in itself... but because of certain decisions (or lack of decisions) made by the Development team.
I will give an example:
Been in Riften; did the quest of rescuing the locals there and burning corpses.
What is wrong with that? Well, there just were about 100or so players doing the same quest.
Point: players were actually corpse camping.
Why? because in making the game one big playground the ZOS Development team did not bother
to upgrade and change those quests which provide limited opportunity to finish the quest.
Another point: I like dungeon crawling. Ever since One T, going into a dungeon at peak play time is almost pointless for
there are so many players running about killing everything that often my char can just a well have a leisurely walk in a park.
Indeed, i had it that i finished a major boss quest by just being there and hitting the thing once.
Dolmens...oh dear... at peak time nothing under 20 players with the ranged classes obliterating everything.
fastest Dolmen kill (actually timed) 25 second.
Question? What is the point anymore.
The Adventuring challenge is gone and Adventurers are not required any longer.
I guess it is the time of the big crowd, fast run, kill all, buy from crown-shop people.
sorry, not my stile of fun.
Yes i know, don't enjoy it don't play it. Sort of sad since i have been at it since Beta.

This.
So basically OP is complaining that there's too many people in a massive multiplayer online game. It's a good thing you see people everywhere, it means the game is booming. This game is an MMO, it's designed to be like that.
This game has a ton of instanced stuff, too. If you want a challenge play vMA, veteran dungeons, trials, etc.

No, dead wrong! I am not complaining. I am commenting!
My comment pertains ZOS lack of upgrading the quest system according to the number of players.
Really twenty or more players hacking at one dolmen (or anything else) like crazies; is that really the intended purpose of the Game?
Indeed, just today I saw a player Char playing the Lute whiles waiting for a corpse to re-spawn so it could be burned because there were only 10 corpses for 50 players.
Sorry to say; It certainly is not my idea of fun!
In my opinion the Development team can do better. Get some people from producing Junk for the Cash Shop and put them in reworking the quest system to bring it up to date with the number of people playing. 5 players (or even 10) in a normal dungeon is enough. 20 is not only Overkill...it is pointless and stupid and no fun for me at all.

I'll risk it. If ZoS won't let me play somebody's account who I'm married to, let alone watch give birth, they have issues.
Yes, the zergs are cancer.

I bought a ticket to the movies. If the cinema won't allow me to share my seat with my wife who I am married to, let alone watch give birth, the cinema has issues.
