ZOS why don't you punish programmers who are lazy or incompetent to fix their bugs?
So let me say this, the patch came out on the 6th. I led a group that night and over the course of the evening like always we went past BB mine and had to flip it yellow because it was blue. As we tend to stay pretty active no one paid any attention to the tick and we went on to another fire that was needed. I think we probably hit that particular resource 3 or 4 time that night. On the 7th we were back in pvp at our normal time discussing things and retaking resources when the tick passed across my screen I looked at it and thought that's kind of odd but ok no big deal maybe several players died. So we went on up to DC territory and did what we normally do and then went of course we had to go back down later and this time the tick was the same 6k. Now I'm thinking wtf is this right? asked a couple friends to come over and flip it again so we can test it. Of course I posted the bug on the bug forum. At what point did I cheat or exploit this?
The moment you knew it was bugged and continued to do it.
If you have 3-4 hits over a 3-4 hour period no big deal. If you have 10+ in an hour....well, bye
If you read the thread that's why I specifically said "now is a chance to set an example"
Also nepotism implies that everyone not banned is zos family, the word you would be looking for would be "favoritism" but that also doesn't apply, since everyone good, bad, unknown or streamer has exploited.
Lack of ethics doesn't adhere to only "the top layer"
And people have begged for harsher sentences for cheaters and punishment for exploits, what are you talking about?
Are you this upset that you got caught? Or shilling for friends who did? I have friends who did this, guess what, you are on your own champ.
If we don't punish people now, another one will come along and people will just point to this and say "they weren't punished!!!"

We all know how it goes with eso pvp - the best way to force devs to fix something asap is to make it public on the absurd level, so don't blame Sanct for what he did - that's just stupid.

Really funny you say that...

Still farming right now?
Good player.

So now it begs the question: Should I abuse it too? Will not abusing the AP farm set me back behind everyone else, since everyone else will be doing this?
It'd be fantastic since I rarely I have time for PvP anymore..... why not increase my AP gains both easily and drastically? I could stock up on AP and purchase like 10K Spell and Weapon pots to be permanently set for PvE which I mainly play. Insane benefits, no repercussions since it's within game mechanics and ZOS doesn't care.... I just hate how ZOS drops the ball everytime on things like this.

But Baldy, what about roleplay?
As for being interested in content? Most of us are, make no mistake about that. But call us when the content won't reek of bugs and too little reward for too much dedication.
Just an example : today I logged in, went on TF - was met with a three-faction lagfest at Arrius Lumber, and a small group of 20 solo players that rushed to take back Faregyl Farm after I decided to find smallscale. Still, not being one to give up easily, I decided to come back and kite at least a few of them away (thing which I wasn't able to do because now Streak doesn't work on non-even surfaces or when being rooted. Still no ETA on fix btw). And as I was riding across the Cyrodiilic steppes on my trusted mare, I got petrified, whipped and incaped by a DK and a Nightblade which I failed to see. So, that was 20 minutes spent for 1.6k AP and no satisfaction from good fights.
At any rate, I felt it was time to join in on the immersive roleplaying at Bleakers on Haderus. Roleplay to which many "totally not casual" players participate too. Or well, at least until an organised raid is formed later today. But keep up the salt, please. So now it begs the question: Should I abuse it too? Will not abusing the AP farm set me back behind everyone else, since everyone else will be doing this?

^ This. That's a good attitude to have. Come and join us at Bleakers, the doors are open for any open-minded player eager to share some roleplay bonding experiences. (Current prompt : capture the flag and avoid killing innocents in the process). Leave your weapons and AOE at the door, relax, and profit.

I think we both have different interpretations of salty comments I guess. If the game is that broken then why waste time playing it at all? I tried pvp once the other night and almost laughed myself off the chair at the amount of stupid things I was seeing happen and hence I've barely even logged in.
Making excuses like the game is already broken anyway so why not go and abuse broken sh*t regardless isnt exactly good practise and if that's what it takes to tell yourself that you weren't doing anything wrong then so be it.
Go check the steam sale or do something productive if you aren't satisfied with how broken the game is atm and maybe you will find you enjoy something else other than this trash.
Edit: I'm really not even sure why I'm discussing this because I honestly couldn't care less, my original comment was made because I seen a number of people asking if they were classed as exploiting for being present at BB mine or whatever. As far as it goes the outpost gives the correct amount of ap but is just being used to Zos' stupidity of allowing to be that easily farmable.

Can you guys please take care of this resourse/outpost swapping. Permaban anyone who exploit this, they have no place in this game and you guys need to get rid of them!
