I have no regrets as an ESO+ member however...I feel there should be a "Morrowind Expansion" for ESO+ members (pick a duration) that includes all previous DLC's. That would make up for paying for new content.

I have not purchased DLC's since I maintain my ESO+ subscription. I have kept paying because I love the crafting bag.

I spend more than $15 a month just on buying coffee/soda from drive-thrus. My sub was only $13, though, because I got the 6-month sub.

If anything this was a thread pointing out that the people that do pay for sub are getting royally shafted and that maybe ZoS should do something about that since those of us that don't sub are laughing atm....

This worked out just fine for me since I buy content separate. This hasn't hurt me in any way what so ever. Wait I do have crowns sitting on account that will continue to not get used.... Oh well.

1) This gives them the chance to re-brand, something they really, really need. This game hasn't really received new reviews since launch. My releasing a full xpac, they get the free marketing and updated image that comes with it. From that point of view, it's very smart.

2) They said in the stream new players have access to "200 hours of base content and 30 hours of Morrowind" when talking about story IIRC. From that, you can imagine it's about 1/6th as big as the base game, or, about half as much story content as you'd see in half of one faction. When you add up dungeons, trials, new class, new side stuff that we don't know about yet, and new achievements, you're talking a full game or so worth of content.

I'm not super thrilled about it either, but I'm keeping a wary eye on it. Since post-console, they really seem to have gotten their *** together, and the last year has been amazing. I saw the crates and the housing as a cash grab, but if this turns out to be half as good as my rather middle of the road expectations, I can forgive that. I don't spend the cash on crates or crowns, and high quality content coming out at the same time means I can ignore a lot.

This is a fancy way of saying "wait and see". Or, if it's so odious to you, just wait a year for a price drop. Problem solved.

@VoRaVeLi it's possible I misinterpreted what you were saying. But honestly the amount that I play I feel the 15 and the price the the expansion is more than worth it. I mean just to compare, going to a movie? For two hours if that. Or going to the zoo or the aquarium. All that cost way more money for a couple hours. So when I think about paying my sub every month, I'm not to worried about it.

I pay my bills, I live at home (by choice) and I pay rent. I also help my mom with the household bills and food. I allow myself the one luxury of having ESO+ and I've never looked back

honestly, it's the one fun thing I allow myself (aside from the occasional book binge)

A sub pays $180 a year. They have a right to complain about being charged $40 on top of that, when up until that point, they were led to believe that all future content would be included with their sub.

Regular subs have paid many times the price of the expansion over the years. They deserve some acknowledgement of that from ZOS, and some respect from players who haven't contributed even a fraction of that to supporting the game.

You buy crowns sometimes I guess but you don't get the craft bag, so you get to deal with the headache of bank space management.

I don't get why people are so upset, you get 1500 Crowns (15$ by itself) along with craft bag, 10% boost, and content, and also feel the need to get any new content for free right on the dot.

Yeah, I never understood this logic either. Unless you wait and buy crowns on sale, it's $15 for 1500 crowns which is how many crowns you get when you sub to ESO+. Even if all they gave was 10% xp boost with the 1500 crowns, you are getting more from the ESO+ than if you just buy 1500 crowns. I say all that to say, if you don't want anything ESO+ has to offer besides the crowns then yes, it is a waste of your money.I don't agree with everything ZOS does but this isn't even an issue to me. Fixing existing problems before adding more content (free or not) is.
