Destruction staff "Ancient Knowledge" does have no effect on sorcerer aoe skills

In the description of "Ancient Knowledge" it should have an effect on all aoe skills.
-> Lightning Staves: Increases your Area of Effect damage dealt by 4/8%.
But it seems that it not have an effect to "Liquid Lightning" or "Scattering Prison" from tooltips. The destruction staff abilities shows the effect. So is this a bug in UI or gameplay? Can someone evaluate this and check other abilties too?

Taonnor✭✭✭✭✭The staff is on front bar and active. I compared the skills with staff skills with active staff bar.
If i switch to backbar healstaff, the tooltip of sorcerer skills not change.
I have not tested it in gameplay with concrete numbers and cannot say it is an UI bug or a deeper gameplay bug.Guild

My bar with destruction staff have slotted (1) "Lightning Flood", (2) "Wall of Elements", (3) "Scattering Prison", (4) "Streak" and (Ulti) "Eye of Storm".
The abilities (1) "Lightning Flood" and (Ulti) "Eye of Storm" are affected by the passive "Ancient Knowledge".

✭Can you test with actual numbers ? It's a common knowledge that tooltips are… not very accurate
If I remember, the fire staff showed the same problem with javelin on pts1, but it was only a tooltip problem.0 -

✭✭It definitely does work with actual skills, my liquid lightning damage increases with a lighting staff.
Use actual numbers produced by the skills, ignore the tooltips.1
