Feedback: 24 player cap for housing is far too small

They can easily make a housing start at one size and than allow to be upgraded with crowns just like buying bag and bank space. A manor can start at 24 and than be upgraded maybe like:
    24>50>75>100.
This would allow players to upgrade to a cap that fits there needs and Zos will profit from crown sales making it a win win situation.

Buy one of the crown store houses.

No seriously, it seems like ZoS made the update for only those two houses. They're probably 3x the size of the manors that cost 3m and you can tell thats where a ton of work went into. They make the manors look like classic houses.

I actually think the island is hideous, which I'm happy about, cause now I have no urge to purchase it. The cave is okay-ish. Sure they have more space, but good luck with filling that! They still hold the same number of total items.

They are neat but with only 24 players in them will seem empty. I really wish they had bothered to make some full on castles on this scale.

The Crownstore homes have 100 more than the manors.

What size home are you speaking of? I expect the number of people allowed inside depends on your he size or the home. Would be logical.

It would make sense a major would hold up to 100. Large home calling out around 50 and each size smaller even less.

24 people seems a wee bit on the small end of things.

I would suggest to any player to not contribute so one player can own a major.
It's not a guild home. He/she quite game or guild and the home cannot be transfered.

I'm popping in to add my voice for a larger player cap in player housing.

That said, I am willing to be patient for this to happen. I am assuming that character housing is an initial test on resources and that the larger homes will have the caps raised right around the time guild houses are offered (also with MUCH larger caps, and priced accordingly).

I'm the GM and the guild has existed since before PC launch. I'm not going anywhere.

Plus, all the officers will have as much privileges as ZOS allows, so in case i get hit by a bus, they can carry on.

No, caps depend on size of house but so far 24 is the most.

With porting between houses the only idea I can think of right now is have multiple houses being used at same time for members. You can make each house a separate wing of a larger house.
Aside from that not much we can do right now but hope they come to there senses.

I agree with this. Personally, I'm not even looking at the large manors b/c there's no point for me and the few people I play with. However, I did peek into the crown store houses and instantly thought GUILD! I could see players just hanging out in those areas before raid, after raid, and gathering for all their needs (repair gear, selling, cooking food, making potions, etc). However, the 24 people limit is ridiculously small considering guilds can have upto 500 people.

These houses need to be able to house as many people as there can be in a guild, otherwise, what's the point of these giant homes?

Thanks for your feedback, all. The limit to the number of players in each home is indeed due to performance reasons.

There are way more than 24 in most busy banks and after the initial loading they are fine....

Thanks - if that's the case then for my purposes the limit is sort of OK, though 36 would be way better

I'm sure we could set up a guild to do this. It must be possible to get 24 people on PTS at the same time :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It would be much easier though if @ZOS_GinaBruno would just pop back and tell us the other caps ;)

I would like to see a "guildhall" option that would simply allow "anyone/ any number" from the guild(s) that were able to access the hall.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I host parties in my IRL house with up to 40 people with no performance issues and my home is much smaller than these manors. I, too, really hope for an increase as soon as it can be arranged! My guild events often draw more than that number, it would not be fun being the player(s) left out.

It's not like RPers are going to go into houses for the one purpose of spamming as many aoes as they possibly can. Unless having more than 24 people in a home would actually crash something somewhere (doubtful but possible?), I don't think anyone would mind a bit of lag or needing to mess with settings a little bit in order to attend large gatherings.

Pretty much! It's strange to run through, say, Rawl'kha and see literally hundreds of players running about spamming and dueling with no issues... or the huge trains that run from dolmen to dolmen during double XP event... but then be told it's a performance issue to have more than a handful of people inside a house.

And please make guild quests available for these upgrades, with the another suggestion above, about setting a house as "guild-hall", with achievements, available to earn by all members of the guild.

Guild Wars Original had Guild Halls that all members could access. And they were instanced. However, the guilds were limited to 100 members, and members of your alliance (10 guilds at most) could access all the guild halls in the alliance. I've never been in a situation where all the allies had 100 members and everyone tried to meet in one guild hall for something.

But it does make a cap of 24 on a home destined for use by the guild members seem ... small.
