After spending hours creating the interior space, the house truly felt like my own! ... Until I stepped outside and saw again that it was labelled "Captain Margaux's Place". It's not her place anymore! It's my place!

A small detail, I know, but it would tremendously help my feeling of immersion and of belonging in the house if it were named something different. Literally anything else. As long as it doesn't have someone else's name in it.

What do you guys think, can this be done? Does anyone else feel the same way? Thanks for reading.

have to agree, even "Margaux Manor" would be a huge improvement

I'd like that, but I think people who visit our home should also be able to see the name.

I know that, then, someone could put an offensive name on it and other people would see, but these "other people" are only people that the owner of the house allowed in and who decided to go to that person's house, not the entire player base.

If I name my house "Purple Pillow Fort" you bet I will want people to see it.

Thanks for bringing this up! Indeed, I saw that feature and at first I thought it was exactly what I was looking for. Sadly, though, it doesn't affect the name of the instance while targeting the door from outside, or on the loading screen while porting in.

That would perfectly suit my tastes. However, I understand that most of the other homes have really cool names and that their owners may still want to see them (Daggerfall Overlook, etc). Perhaps a toggle? I don't know if it's possible to change the name of an instance itself on a per-player basis, even though that would be excellent. At the very least, though, giving Captain Margaux's Place a different name would totally lay this matter to rest.

It could keep all the same lore, I have no problem with that. Even something like "Sailor's Abode" would make a world of difference. I mean, my character isn't a sailor, but it's Margaux's name specifically that lessens my feeling of ownership.
