Hissmir Fish-Eye Rye Recipe....Drop rate?

So in 3 days of doing all my 8 characters I got 2x Hissmir Fish-Eye recipes and about 20 runeboxes.

Lets think, is this a bad drop rate?

I don't think the droprate for this recipe so far off because,

There are 5 gold items to drop ( + of course the much rarer Skinchanger gold book).

So if all there 5 gold items were equally weighted for RNG the the runeboxes would drop for 80% of the time ( 4 out of 5 times)

The Hissmir Fish-Eye recipe would then drop for 20% of the time (1 out of 5 times)

This means, if all was equal, I should have maybe got 5 of the recipes.

However, as we know well, RNG is not exactly equal and there is so much more chance of getting a runebox than this recipe

I guess i complete 50-55 quests with multiple characters. I got it two times. I got all gold items but still don't have skinchanger chest motif.

I completed more than 100 quests,

Got 3 of each hats, 2 mud balls but no costume and no recipe at all

Feel ya....but I think it's just us.

Three characters for two days and now on day 3....I'm going to use 5 cause I just noticed that yellow doesn't drop unless I'm a cp level (that's my experience)

Not saying the game won't let purple and yellow drop but my new alt is level 12 and 6 so ....yeah

I have 108 wolf incense or whatever is the name of skinchanger's crafting style ingredient. Since it is one drop per box, it means I had 108 runs so far in total on several of my chars. I have found 3 gold recipes so far. So it was like 2.78% for me.

I've done a total of about 45 quests and all I'm missing is 1 of the blue recipes, 1 of the motif chapters and the towel. I've got spares of the gold recipe and the mud ball pouch so either rng has really favoured me so far or the rare item drop rate is a lot better than the witches festival

I started a new character (been thinking about it for awhile, figured now was a good time). She went to Breda pretty much directly after getting to Bleakrock. I got the Fish recipe first run with her.

I think I've been pretty lucky though. I got it on all 4 of my characters without issue.

I still can't believe I've been redoing these quests daily for runeboxes I don't need. Lol

Go buy one in a guild store, the more expensive the better. Then you are almost guaranteed to have them start dropping.

I've only done nine quests and got two fish recipies..... but if it makes you feel any better I didn't realise you had to drink the ale to get the xp boost...... only just now realised - doh!

I love my guildies.

My main crafter has the full motif now. Guildies gave me the chest and legs I was missing. Also the hissmir recipe. Of course I've given away the pieces of the motif I don't need and still have a few to give out. If no one in my guilds needs them I'll sell.

almost as rare as the towel imo. Ran 3 chars 3 days plus another char that did only a few quests (arounf 30ish quest boxes give or take per day) and got 2. Out of this, I also got one Nord's towel and one chest motif.

LOL, I've got so many towels I'm thinking of opening Towels"R"Us. I can't get a hissmir recipe to save my life though. Both my characters only need that one item each to finish.

I bought all the costume items, momentos, and gold recipe. After 100+ box openings I could see that the RNG on my account wasn't very good this time. :'(

Ok this is just nuts.

Ive run at least 15 times all the quests so 15x9 boxes and only 1 Hissmer Recipe.

I just opened 9 boxes on one character and got THREE Colovian Hoods an item you only need ONE per account.
Ive gotten at least 2 others of this hood as well.

Seriously something wrong.

Have gotten many Hoods and Pouches and everything else but not this. Different from Witches Festival where i got many yellow recipes and only one of each mask in the end. Only yesterday did i see it linked in the chat too in Xbox EU but just got to keep trying.

my first 3 boxes for the event were the yellow recipe, i assumed it was as common as the holloween recipes but ive never gotten the hats or the ever so rare betnikh ale recipe, so i assume its actually all just very random

I did only about 20-25 quests....
Only missing 2 recipes (yellow one included) and 1 motif.

AND: 1 colovian, 1 filigran, 3 mudballs and 1 towel.....so the droprate for the runechests are reall high.

They should have give something that you HAVEN'T gotten rather than the same things over and over! The first time I kept getting legs, shoulders, and swords! I know all the chapters on my main character, but need to get my crafting done.

I just wish I could get that fish-eye recipe! I have two runeboxes (hood and pouch) I would trade for it.

Actually, I found the drops to be frequent enough in variety that I did not see your problem as much with this event as I saw it with Witches Festival.

Much worse on consoles. Atleast on PS4, the yellow recipe is selling for average 300k lol! Cheapest I've seen is 210k.

Admitedly I bought the 210k one. I have gold to throw around, and I wanted the recipe pretty badly since I don't have Master Angler yet - this will benefit me down the line when I decide to go for it.

If you're on PC this recipe is next to worthless since there are mods that do basically what it does lol... that may be the reason why it costs more on console - we actually have a use for it.
