if you believe that guild store prices somewhat reflect supply: the runeboxes sell at 7500 gold. the recipe sell at 50,000 gold.

Much worse on consoles. Atleast on PS4, the yellow recipe is selling for average 300k lol! Cheapest I've seen is 210k.

Admitedly I bought the 210k one. I have gold to throw around, and I wanted the recipe pretty badly since I don't have Master Angler yet - this will benefit me down the line when I decide to go for it.

If you're on PC this recipe is next to worthless since there are mods that do basically what it does lol... that may be the reason why it costs more on console - we actually have a use for it.

If I had know this I wouldnt have used the two that dropped for me. Hopefully Ill get a third so I can sell it at an insane markup.

Go buy one in a guild store, the more expensive the better. Then you are almost guaranteed to have them start dropping. >:)

I did that with the motif axe page. Eventually caved in and bought the axe page for 3k. Not much gold in the grand scheme of things, but I still grudged it all the same as I'm a miser. The next day 4 drop. Sold 3 for 2k each so not a biggie. I just need the recipe and I just know if i buy it it will drop the next day unless I hold off until the last day of the event. Then I'm risking them shooting waaaaaaaaaaay up further.

I don't know what the particular drop rate is but, if Guild Store prices are any indication, it's at best about 2% of the rate of the Gold recipe from the witches festival. Even now, in all of my guilds and all of the guild stores that I search in the cities, the Witches Festival gold recipe rarely breaks 1,000g, and you can often get it for 500-600g. The Hissmir will sometimes be as low as the mid-30s, but is usually in the 40-60k range or higher.

I've only been doing the festival on one character. It would bankrupt all eight of my characters just to buy one copy of the recipe, there's no point in even trying to complete it for any of my alts or my wife's characters like I did for the Witches Festival.

Life is short. If you have not made love recently, please, put down this book, and take care of that with all haste. Find a wanton lass or a frisky lad, or several, in whatever combination your wise loins direct, and do not under any circumstances play hard to get. Our struggle against the colossal forces of oppression can wait.
    Good. Welcome back.
We Khajiit live and fight together, and our struggles will not end very soon, likely not in our lifetimes. In the time we have, we do not want our closest comrades to be dour, dull, colorless, sober, and virginal. If we did, we would have joined the Thalmor.
Do not begrudge us our lewd jokes, our bawdy, drunken nights, our moonsugar. They are the pleasures often denied to us, and so we take our good humor very seriously.

Same. I have 125 wolfsbane, so thats 125 quests done but only 1 hissmir recipe; multiple everything else.

I did want to get the tittle on two characters, but I can't grind these moronic quests anymore.

As usual rng ruins the fun.

Not quite, actually. Some parts of it are included in existing addons

At a guess, the Hissmir drop rate appears to be about 1%. The other collectables appear to have a higher rate... maybe 2% each. I'm not sure.

Yeah, the drop rate is redonkulous. I've done all nine quests almost every day of the festival so far and not a single fish-eye rye. I finished every other achievement the first week and have probably three full sets of everything else. It's going for 50-75k on PC NA right now in the few stores I've seen it in.

168 questruns so far, no golden recipe.
It´s at least 35k on Guildvendors. I don´t have 35k. So - no recipe for me.

I have had good luck so far on all the drops.

Since the festival started i have run at least 1 character daily, sometimes 6 characters if I dont get too bored with the repetitive.

I have found 5 Fish recipes so far,

I have only used one for my provisioner and sold/selling the rest.

I have seen guild store prices of 35K up to 100k.........................mostly selling in the 35 to 60 k range.

RNG is fickle. I see from this thread drop rates for items vary wildly from player to player. I've done over 350 of the quests and only gotten the Hissmer recipe once. But I've gotten a crap-ton of everything else. :D I'm pretty much done with this festival, prices for almost everything have dropped too much for the effort and I don't need bags full of motifs I can't sell.

I've had 1 drop. No idea why some devs continue with God awful RNG in absolutely everything they do. If they want people to do 9 quests daily at least put more *** effort into them. Make us want to do them because they are in some way fun, not because you hide *** behind having to do them umpteen times. Just because the numbers they gather at the end of the event will show the fishing quest or the donation quests had X amount of people completing them, doesn't mean they weren't dull and not in the slightest bit fun. I was lucky, I got everything quite quickly so other than having to go and chug the xp drink, the festival passed me by.

It's similar to how many devs artificially make their games look as if they have some sort of replay value. They simply know many people are suckers for meaningless achievements thus hide them behind 2nd or 3rd play throughs when some games don't even warrant a single play through.

I'm never too clear whether the problem is simply that some people don't understand the principle of RNG, or that they do but get it muddled with the principle of Entitlement and believe that they should get two quick drops of the item they want, one to complete their achievement (which they then demand should be account-wide, naturally), and the other to be sold at an astronomical price on their trader to the victims of RNG who need it for their achievement (which they are now convinced should be character-specific so as to boost demand, naturally) !

I got the recipe earlier today as my penultimate item, now I just need the daggers motif - but if I don't get it in the remaining few runs then it'll leave something for me to aim for next year  !

Nor is it always clear whether or not people just churn out interweb words of the moment [entitlement] because they simply have to appear to be in some way superior to those they are attempting to act all adulty and, well, superior in front of. Good for you, you're a better person than 99% of us on here. Have a pat on the head.

I guess some people just don't recognise a wink at the end of a comment when they see one...
