What do I need to play FULL game?

When the game first released I bought the "Digital Imperial Edition" and played it for a bit but the falling through the ground bug got the best of me I quit soon after. I have recently decided I might come back and try it again. I plan to resubb if I return with the monthly charges. My question is ..........

What do I need to buy/download to have the entire FULL GAME with all DLC etc etc? I'm the type person if I play a game I want everything that comes with the game at the beginning. So again, what do I have to buy or download to have the full game and have all expansions and all DLCs and such?

Subscribing gives you access to all DLC's as long as it's active. So pretty much just sub and you're good to go!

If you re-sub you won't need to re-buy anything.

If you keep your subscription you can access all DLC.

The subscription will get you access to all the DLC already:
    - Imperial City
    - Orsinium
    - Thieves Guild
    - Dark Brotherhood
    - Shadows of the Hist
If you want to buy them anyway there is a four pack for the first four in the crown store, or you can buy the gold edition. Shadows of the Hist is only sold separately from the DLC packs. Again, though, if you are subscribing you already get access to all these and future DLC with your subscription.

There are two account upgrades not available with the subscription:
    - Imperial Upgrade (access to the Imperial race)
    - Any Race, Any Alliance (as it says, no alliance restrictions on races; since One Tamriel this only matters for PvP zones)

    Hope this helps!

What exactly is this Gold Edition and what does it give me that subbing doesn't already give me?

As for the upgrade that gives me the Imperial Race .... don't I already have that with my "Digital Imperial Edition"? Also with this edition don't I already get all races, any alliance?

The digital imperial edition does give you the imperial race but not any race any alliance. Similarly any race any alliance does not give you the Imperial Race,

If you sub you will have access to all DLCs but not Imperial Race or Any Race Any Alliance

So to have everything you need to Sub, get the imperial upgrade via the crown store (or via the imperial edition on the website) and also the any race any alliance thing either via a code or via the crown store.

Be adviced that you get 1500 crowns per month of sub, so you can get the standard edition and then after a couple of months of subbing you can use those crowns to get the imperial edition or any race any alliance.

    Welcome back.
    Dont buy the gold edition.
If you have the Collectors Edition from when the game launched (sounds like you might), you have any race any alliance and the Imperial race.

If you sub you get access to all the DLC until you stop subbing. You also get the crafting mats bag which alone is worth it to not have the inventory aggravation.

If you don't care about crafting, then just sub until you have enough crowns for the 4 DLC pack and Shadows of the Hist or just buy the crowns and buy them without subbing.

I'd argue it matters a little bit for roleplayers. But, generally speaking, you're right, this is way less useful for PvE than it once was.

1st - I came asking a legit question and get a fly ass remark from him. I don't need children trying to act cool on the web when I came here with serious questions in hopes of finding myself a new primary game.

now back to the civil folks, When I sub to the game, is there a way in game I can access that shows me what I DO have and what I DON'T have? aka something I can click on that shows me if I am missing anything so I can see what it is and either buy it now or later and such? Reason I ask is although I am pretty sure I understand everything you guys have said, I wanted to be able to verify and read up on stuff in game as well.

I understand the game is not brand new, but I just left my Progression server in EverQuest to search for something new (to me) and something I can immerse myself into and I am seriously interested in this game hence why I came with questions. I do thank you guys that have come to help me here.

When you go to the Crown Store in game, there will be ESO Plus in the list (second one down) that will tell you if your membership is active and all the things it includes

On your character page it says you have ESO+ and the in game perks that entails (10% increase in experience, gold, inspiration and research times.

Your Bethesda account will also say you have ESO+ on the account page.

Buy the Steam Gold edition. It's $30 when it's on sale and you can connect your existing non-Steam account to it. Comes with all the DLC except the latest dungeon, I think. But if you're planning to sub, all the DLC is free anyway. The Gold Edition is still good if you ever plan to unsub, though.

I really dont know thats why Im asking but it seems as though you are buying a separate account with it.
The OP already has the imperial edition and could just buy the 4 Pack DLC for 5500 crowns if all he needs is the DLC.
The gold edition is $60 while the DLC pack is ~ $40 at full crown price and ~$25 when they go on sale.

    DLC

1.) Imperial City (PvP update adding Imperial City to Cyrodiil)
2.) Wrothgar (Large zone with plenty of solo and group content, story revolves around the Orcs)
3.) Thieves Guild (guild based storyline, small new zone)
4.) Dark Brotherhood (guild based storyline, small new zone)
5.) Shadows of the Hist (Two new group dungeons added to Shadowfen, argonian theme)

Check the crown store for the ESO gold or mega pack, something with a name like that. Has all the DLCs included. All the free updates like One Tamriel you will automatically get.

Or if you choose to subscribe to the game with the monthly fee you will automatically get access to all DLC. But remember that if your subscription ends you lose access to the DLC. The only way to actually "own" the DLC is through Crown Store purchase.

You can link an existing non-Steam account to a new Steam version. I did it recently. I had a non-Steam version I bought at launch and I recently bought the Steam gold version. It brought in everything from my orignal account. It even recognized my existing addons.

I believe you can't, however, link an existing Steam version to a newer non-Steam version.

    On these questions:

Buying the DLCs gives you access to them indefinitely. Subbing only gives access until your sub ends. Other than that, there's no differences. If you're going to sub for as long as you play, there's no need to buy them.

The Gold Edition gives you the first 4 DLC and the Palomino Horse. The difference from the sub is the horse, and the same as above in that the Gold Edition gives DLC access indefinitely. You can't apply the Gold Edition to an existing account unless you buy the Gold Edition on Steam and then link it to an existing non-Steam account.

Yes, your Digital Imperial Edition gives you the Imperial Race upgrade.

You will have Any Race, Any Alliance if your Digital Imperial Edition came with an "Explorer Pack" code (which was a pre-order bonus for all editions, not specific to the Imperial Edition).

Why would I buy them if I already get them simply by subbing? Do I get something more by buying them?
What exactly is this Gold Edition and what does it give me that subbing doesn't already give me?

As for the upgrade that gives me the Imperial Race .... don't I already have that with my "Digital Imperial Edition"? Also with this edition don't I already get all races, any alliance?

If you have an active subscription you have access to all DLC. Meaning that you don't own the DLC, and once your subscription expires, you won't be able to (re)visit those areas.
Once you buy a DLC, you own it, and you will always have access to it.

Many people used the crowns they get from their sub to buy the dlcs, so if they ever drop their sub for some reason, they still have the dlcs.

If you sub you get a crafting bag, which might not matter much if you don't plan to farm mats or craft, but it does come in handy if you do.
