Thank you for this thread, ArchMikem. I have never tried soloing any group dungeons but this has inspired me to try some tomorrow!

    +1 awesome for you.

Congratulations and I really get the feeling of achievement; normal Fungal Grotto 1 is the only one I've ever managed to solo as well, although not without any deaths like you (I'm currently, slowly, trying to work my way through the normal level Maelstrom Arena and have reached The Spiral Shadows).

I'm constantly amazed at what some players can achieve (and quite often disheartened by how little I can do); it's great that ESO has enough content and challenges for all levels of players.

Currently doing a mixture of normal and veteran modes of Vaults of Madness solo at the moment. Been doing it over a week, got 2 decent pieces of Rattlecage, need another 4. Never been so bored playing ESO in 3 years.

I have soloed this one on DK multiple times, just to farm few more pieces of viper for PvP.
I guess FGII can't be soloed.

Which platform are you on? I'll try to make it happen if there's 100K up for grabs. :)

With DK its impossible to open door to one of bosses, since you need pressure plates to be stepped on at same time. Idk if sorc and his pets can do that, or is there some mechanic to avoid this.

I was chatting to a fellow templar when we were farming together and was talked in to trying to solo on normal. Much to my surprise, I've done four or five now and gained some much needed extra skill points. Would never have attempted a dungeon on my own without the extra push so am really happy

Nice one bud - welcome to the club.

I did Volenfell once - but took so many tries and was such a pain I don't want to go back there again. it id doable though.

Shame I have a terrible memory for the dungeon names or I'd suggest others for you. Oddly, out of those I have solo'd, I found that switching to vet wasn't much harder at all on some of them - but seemed impossible on others. Give it a go!

Grats! I can understand your joy, because recently I soloed few normal dungeons scaled to cp160 for first time in my life too :) Previously I could solo only dungeons scaled to my characters level when they were below 50 lvl (pre One Tamriel).
After One Tamriel, I was inspired by awful vMA - I still can't complete last stage, but all madness which I survived there, really boosted my confidence... :D Normal dungeons feel like a holiday now!

Nothing dangerous is going on here :D

Ok, this is actually dangerous, but I knew I won't survive this boss with my new complexion - it was just funny to try ;)

Also, where is my 100k gold? :p Just kidding.

    Congrats ArchMikem! :)

I can still remember the feeling when I did my first solo dungeon. Like, standing alone in front of thoses bosses I so far only faced in 4-player groups. Holy sh**. And the elation after they were beaten!

Volenfell becomes easy when you a) move to the large sandy area behind the three bosses and kite the red one around there, and/or b) use the Clannfear pet (I tend to call him "tankfear" ;) ). About b) it might help to know that you can instruct the pet to attack a mob or return to you, by holding the "Command Pet" key and clicking left or right mouse button.
    Kind regards,

Gratz! Solo some dungeons can be tedious but also rewarding. One thing I enjoy is to explore the dungeon in my own pace - if you farm for set drops you can get some nice pieces from chests too.

I tried to do nCoA2 last night - it is not the same as nCoA  - I gave up on the first bosses..... need my mag sorc with pets if I'm going to do this one all alone...

I've noticed Magicka Sorcerers are GREAT at PvE. Most of the time in the Normal Dungeons I didn't even need to use any shields. Just make sure you have Power Surge on at all times and a high enough Crit Chance, and then you just hit everything with AoEs, some Lightning Staff heavy attacks, and a Crystal Shard whenever it procs and you're golden. Every Critical hit you make heals you through your Power Surge. Trust me, I used to HATE Sorcerers, it was so different than my usual Nightblade/Templar playstyle, but I finally found a nice groove and now my MagSorc is pretty much my third Main with how great in PvE it is.

I'll have to try out that spot in Volenfell then, see what happens. If I can effectively start farming it then I can actually get my hands on a set of Treasure Hunter.

Also I do remember hearing something about being able to give commands to your Summons, but I have no idea what the Command key would be on a Console controller.

I got sick of waiting for group finder to find a group to farm for viper pieces so I started soloing fungal grotto myself.

Took about 20 runs but I have a sharpened sword and a shield now! :)

    I did it!

My first Stage II (or whatever it's called) Normal Dungeon completed on my own on my MagSorc. It was the pledge, my Guildmates logged off for the night so I thought I'd just try it once to see how it was. The Infernal guy was no problem, the Keepers were pretty much no problem, the twin Harvester sisters got me a few times but when I remembered to interrupt them it became easier. And Rilis himself was actually really easy for the most part. I got really worried the fall damage from being pushed up into the air would get me but it wasn't as much as I expected, and as long as I kept Power Surge up and as much damage on target as I could, Power Surge's healing kept me safe.

The video is more as proof than an actual showcase of the battle. I didn't realize I could manually start and stop recordings of any length with my console, so I only got the last 30 seconds. But you can see me jump a few times "woo-hoo"-ing at the end.

I also got my first Ilambris's Shoulders I've been hoping for! But it was Well Fitted...

I do want to say though I had more problems with the Trash Mobs between bosses. When there's five or six of them hitting me all at once it overwhelms the healing from Power Surge and they got me a few times. And also want to note, I may be saying that the bosses for the most part were "easy", lol I'm exaggerating, I was gripping the controller the entire time begging not to screw up my rotation, which is a WEIRD thing to say, I've never had an actual rotation before.

@Loc2262 By the way Loc, I tried your spot at the final boss in Volenfell, it totally works! The stationary Centurian's ranged attacks can't reach back there so it made the battle so much easier. The Guild and I will be remembering that spot from now on.
