    What are you expecting? The crates exist, and the things in them many of us will never have an opportunity to buy because we're interested in paying for the product, not a random chance at maybe perhaps one day getting the product.

    Who knows? If crate sales are bad, maybe they'll do away with them, but I'm more inclined to believe that we need to make the most of the store in the short term, because long term when they try to drive crate sales, we'll get to a point where all the good stuff is locked away inside them.

    Or.... maybe ZOS has woken up a bit. I can hope they have.. I would hate to see the showcases stumble. Far too many people are prepared for the worse and even the slightest hint of that happening is going to cause people to leave. People have already claimed they unsubbed because of this..

    Unfortunately the December crown store update does nothing for me. The elk and ice wolf are not surprising considering its December. Everything I want appears still trapped in scam crates.

    Well, after the rather disappointing showcase for November it's somewhat refreshing to see a store showcase that has something I want (the elk & the two tunics provided they aren't ridiculously overpriced).
    However... only the pet and the tunics are available on a permanent basis, the rest is limited time only. Compare that to past showcases...
      PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!. Outfit slots not being accountwide is ridiculous given their price. PC EU/PC NA roleplayer and solo PvE quester

      Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

        The Kagouti wasn't a "basic" mount, it was a new skin on the old Guar skeleton, and was limited time only too. I feel like the Elk might be the same, but with the Horse skeleton.

        idk what you're talking about there, Kagouti had a ton of unique geometry to it that separates it pretty noticeably from the Guar. I would have bought it if it weren't for the muted colors that match none of my characters. I'm now just hoping alt-colored Kagouti are both a bit more vibrant and also NOT IN THE DAMN GAMBLING BOXES.

        Yes, it had unique geometry, but it wasn't completely it's own thing. The animations were exactly the same as the Guar, it was the same skeleton.
        I imagine that's why it wasn't put up as its own, permanent "basic mount", but as a limited time offer only; because for all intents and purposes, it was a Guar.

        Well I was going to get a crate bundle but after seeing what coming in store next month all my crown are going for the new mounts, motif and casn't resist that wolf pup. :blush:

        Did you see how many new things were available in the Crown Crates on PTS? (Which Gina confirmed will be what we will see in the Crown Crates on the live server)

        It was a little more than two mounts, one pet, three hats and two outfits.

        But there was no motif in the Crown Crates (yet) so I give you that.

        Give credit where credit is due. This showcase makes me happy, but that's because luckily I was on the "Ice Wolf please" side of the things. If I was on the "Red Pit Wolf please" side, like many others are, this showcase would have done nothing but make me sadder.

        Oh, by the way, crates still suck. But the thing about giving credit where credit is due is that I can be happy about one aspect of the game and sad about another.

        I'm on the "Red Pit Wolf please" side :disappointed: but I am happy that you and others will be able to get the Ice Wolf.

        Anything that doesn't say the time frame during which it will be available is not limited. It might leave the store eventually, but there isn't a set date for it to be removed.

        In this showcase, the two male Imperial tunics are the only things that are not available for a limited time only. All the others have a date under their description that says when they are leaving.

        This is mainly because the December Showcase does not mean that dire predictions will not come to pass. ZOS does not get off the hook for one month of stuff. ZOS has to do this every month, not just for a Christmas month, and they have to continue to release exciting new content, meaning stuff that has not been data mined already. ZOS has to earn such a response as you ask for, with demonstrable actions, repeated monthly and quarterly, for the rest of the life of the game.

        Some of the doom and gloom about Crown Crates involved long term degredation of content updates, stuff that might not show up for a few months. No, one month means nothing.

        ZOS is acting contrary to the wishes of many customers, in a manner that is established, in other games, to be detrametal to the overall game. If they want us to believe otherwise, that they are an exception, it will take more than cleverly worded statements and a couple months of 'good behavior'.

        Well after discussing this with my wife.. since I have the crowns I will probably buy the 15 crate pack. If it turns out to be a complete waste of crowns then I will never ever buy any more crates, let alone normal crown store items.

        My reasoning behind this is that if I can get any mount that I don't already have plus maybe a couple other cosmetic items then it would be worth 5000 crowns... plus from what I have read we can now manually trade in any potions and stuff we do not want for crown gems.

        I'm not buying any. Ever. No matter how much I want the items. I don't want the Crate numbers to increase. I want them to do badly so they just remove them and put the items up for direct sale :tongue:

        I've unsubbed because of these disgusting methods of ZOS to raise revenue .. the crates themselves I couldnt give 2 Sh.ts about ... I would have stayed subbed like I do with ffxiv arr because while I don't play often these days there a worth while company that hasn't resorted to scamming ppl out of money like ZOS has ... i really hope this fails and the game falls into the empty abyss of death.. to show that these disgusting methods of business don't fly with customers.. I just feel sad for the loyal ppl that truly love this game and are hurt buy these scam boxes..

        I'm prepared to open 60 crates tonight on twitch.

        I'm prepared (even though I want the mount) to show people that the investment of $50.00 is better off to be stored away then spent on 15 boxes.

        You won't get *** from 15 boxes, as stated many times you have to invest "hard" to obtain gems to then buy what you're after.
        However this is a false pretense people are receiving after thinking they will get what they want with a $50.00 investment there many be 1 or 2 people sure but you should plan on being very disapointed.

        A hat, and pots which are rubbish... man it would hurt would it not.

        Well at least they changed it so you can convert the pots to crown gems.
