My Cryomancer, my baby, my dear ice cube of happiness, was only made because the Ice Wolf was datamined, with that mount in mind. Her concept can only be complete if I get an Ice Wolf, and I will only get an Ice Wolf if it is available through direct purchase.

So you can bet I'm worried.

What changes were made from the PTS feedback?
How many gems do you get for returning potions and utility items?
Why can't we return costumes or mounts we don't want?
What are the drop rates?

This and what @Lysette said. My personal preference - which is just my personal preference, I know - is for the game to stay true to the TES world. But that train left the station long ago.

What I would really like to know is this: IF I buy a crown crate AND I don't want any of the stuff (but I'm stuck with the silly mount or animation or whatever I don't have in my collection - fine), and so I sell all the I don't want and my collection dups, can I then use the crowns to buy limited-time items from previous Crown Store inventories?

Mounts that are horses, for example. Or a certain costume set (Imperial officers, I'm looking at you) that I missed before they were pulled from the Crown Store?

I'm guessing no and so I'd still not be interested.

And I would agree with that, if I didn't have to see what others were purchasing the in the Crown Store. For myself, there are a few items in the Crown Store that are lore-friendly. Here is the entire inventory of what I've bought from the crown store with two full years of a sub:

1. Every DLC. Every one.
2. Every horse (real, not magical so no ice horse or whatever). So the Palamino horse, the White Mane horse (when it was still for sale, etc.) The only non-horse mounts I have are those that came with a DLC package and the Striped Senche tiger mount that was awarded as a token of appreciation to those of us who bought the game at release and remained subbed up to the release of TU.
3. All the hair styles.
4. All the facial accessories.
5. Certain costumes that look like armor: the scout costumes, the ordinator costumes, the Nedic costumes.
6. The Elven Hero Costume ('cause it rocks).
7. The Moonlight Senche (because it's beautiful) And the kitten. I mean, it's cute. Impulse purchase.
8. A few experience scrolls.

That's it. Along the way I bought a few crowns to purchase some of these items.

The ONLY thing I've seen that I want is the Imperial Officers costume set that I missed because I didn't realize they were pulling it from the store. If I had that, then there would be nothing in the Crown Crates I'd be interested in.

I did not mean it literally every week, but they could and they would sell.

Offering items at a reasonable price is not being greedy, that would be more helpful of players various wants and needs and players have a choice of either to buy or not to buy, instead of a 'chance' to be very very lucky and get something unknown you could, maybe want. (that also depends if the items are really there to start with going off other previous claims things are in the game, but yet no one ever sees them until after a 'hot fix')

Just to put into another perspective, just look at the multitude of vMA threads and the number of runs some players have done and still NEVER seen certain weapons or certain traits, it's the very same thing.

Well I did learn that if the item is cosmetic only, buyers will not have the option to turn those in for gems if they have no use for the item. For example, race specific items but you have no characters in that race. Or like others have said, that costume or pet you didn't buy when it was for sale because you didn't even like it. How thrilling.

That is it? Almost no new information in light of all the negative feedback. The only thing new they had in the article was consumables can be exchanged. They told us that change when they were on the pts. How much can they be exchanged for? What is exclusive? What was the point of this article other then making us feel completely ignored?

I thought we were getting more testing chances?! Have they even fixed the bugs? Last time I tested it, I couldn't see the damn cards that popped up to even make a choice. There was nothing there.

I will not support this system still. Regardless, I am not even remotely convinced to spend a single crown on them without more testing or information. If we are gambling on a "seasonal themed" item, then we ought to get one of the "seasonal themed" items per chance.

If the crown crates remained just theme related with a few things in them, like everything is Attro. Then I would be ok with them. But I am still against non-themed items being in there, such as the red and white wolf, and the wolf pups, the enveloping scales skin, and other such non-Attro looking items. I want to buy those out right not gamble for them. Like others here, I have been waiting for the white wolf.

They said they didn't know if the crates would be available for further testing. I doubt anyone expected them to be as the feedback was overwhelming negative and would likely still be.
