Well there's also the skill line, which does still give you a small benefit when you inevitably lose your throne.
I'm confused. What difference does it make if he's being carried. People are being carried all the time through trials, pledges and while this is PvP, this is just another part of the game that people can get carried to get the title.
I'm really genuinely interested and curious to know why this is wrong. How is this considered cheating if he's getting a boost from the guild?

Basically what @DocFrost72 said. There are some people who literally put hours upon hours, days upon days, working to get in first position. But then some guild comes along and feeds the entire defensive tick of a resource to their guild member. They fight at the resource and before the tick kicks in, they run out of range, leaving the entire tick to that guild member. And so in a matter of few hours, they can put that guild member in first position. And the poor legitimate players who spent days and days working to get there can't catch up.
It's basically rigging the system so that you win. Exploiting mechanics in your favor, or in this case, your guild members favor. And I'm sure that the guild and the people involved see no harm in doing it. But they are only thinking of themselves, not the people who really really work hard to get there. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can really do to stop it, except not be a part of it if it bothers you.
I remember one guild I belonged doing this, and I was shocked to see it. I thought we were all just farming AP, and then everyone in TS said to run outta range. And I was like, "What? What's going on?" And they said, "We're going to make (insert name here) Emp." So I left the group and talked to an officer. And the officer said, "Well...are they forcing you to join this?" And I said, "Well..no." And that was that. But I did say some things on this forum at the time and in zone, and I still have yet to see that "Emperor" put that title in front of their name. Maybe they know that they didn't legitimately earn it.

OK, as someone who barely ever does any PVP I don't understand what you mean by boosting to get emperor.
Does it mean that this guy's guild is organizing and helping him with battles/capturing resources/defending keeps etc in order to help him push for emp? Because that just sounds like playing PVP as intended. Or does it mean something else entirely?
Edit:I'm really genuinely interested and curious to know why this is wrong. How is this considered cheating if he's getting a boost from the guild?

OK, now I understand. Thanks for the explanation @maxjapank now I see what it means and why it's shady!

Let me know if you want the screenshots. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
Don't be whiny little baby and learn to pvp.

It also doesn't matter now, he just got crowned Emp

Lol. It's not "permitted." As in it's okay to do it. It's just not "prohibited". As in nothing will be done to stop you. But even that doesn't make it right. In general, people know what "fair play" is, even if some don't play fair.
