Orsinium event advertised to end at 10AM EST. It just ended early in the middle of my run..

I scheduled myself to go into work later because the RNG in this game is horrible and I wanted a few more chances to finally get my weapon. It is now before 9:30AM EST and the event ended early. I did stages 1-6 and got double rewards. I just did stage 7 and it is back to 1 reward. Why? Why is it ok for you to do stuff like this? Why advertise one thing and then go do something different?

✭✭✭✭✭Yea, same here. I was getting double drops for every chest except for the final chest (or final two chests? I didn't really notice at which point exactly it stopped). I completed my run at 9:21 EST--almost 40 minutes before the scheduled end.

✭✭Worked fine on the PC/EU server... the official post said it ended 15:00 GMT over here... I finished a run at 14:45 and got double drops just fine.
Both useless... but still...

They clearly did it to upset their customers! Either that, or it was unintentional, like someone forgot it was now EDT and not EST (10AM EST is 9AM EDT).I would like a response from a representative of ZOS. What was the reasoning for ending your 10AM EST advertised event early?

Might I suggest that when an event is scheduled to stop at 10 am ET that this process start at 10 am ET and work through all the servers? In this way, the event duration is no shorter than the earliest ending time advertised?

I looted my chest at 9:21. If I had only started a couple of minutes earlier. Still, 40 minutes is a lot. In the future, please consider starting the shutdown at the end time instead (or just say that the end time is 9 AM instead of 10 AM). While i can appreciate that the company has responded, it is unfortunate that there is such a misleading and unprofessional method for this. There was no miscommunication, the company advertisements clearly stated 10am, and that is when the event shutdown should have ended, and not a minute earlier.
There is no excuse as to why the shutdown of the event started at 9:20 versus 10:00. If a written commitment and advertisement states an event will run until a certain time, then there is an established time it should start to end at. There is also no impact if the event ran until the scheduled end time. If there was, then take it as a sign of bad management when you cannot even prepare properly for your own schedules.
The bottom line is that you prioritized ending the event at a time, instead of ending it appropriately. I would also point out, that this is the second event you organized within the last 30 days that has had issues. When you also add in the horrible abuse of rng for drops, the code break situations, and all the other issues for we 'accept' really show a lack of commitment from the company.
Also for what it is worth, i was not in vMA, nor was i utilizing the Orsinium event, so the difference of 40 minutes has zero impact on me. However in saying this, i am severely concerned in conducting business with a company that is so unprofessional.
It is behavior such as this which shows that ZOS thinks of its consumers as mindless automatons to shell out money for nothing. There seems to be an impression that we as a consumer base should just give them the hard earned money and in return they can get the shaft.7 -
