Aetheric Cipher - Does it drop in delves, dungeons, public dungeons and dolmens?

There is a lot of talk about this only dropping in overland mobs and not in delves etc, and because of its rarity could we maybe get a confirmation where this actually drops so we are not wasting time in wrong places without knowing?

So, just for absolute clarity here and to make it apparent to those wishing to input:

We are after clarification on WHERE the item drops
We know WHICH Zones it drops in.

The question is whether it drops in Delves and Dungeons in these areas as well?

We don't even want to know what the abysmal drop rate is - as we are all convinced it's less than .000000001% (Hence they are going for 200k a piece right now in PC EU). Also, my 30hrs now in the Public Dungeon says no drops as of yet.

"Monsters" means all NPCs, whether human or not, who are hostile to you. Normal residents who are robbed or attacked by means of the case do not belong to it.

This implies it does not matter where the monster is, as long as it is in one of the proper zones. Right now, that is the best answer we have.

I think they did include them in the loot table, but I think the drop rate is so low that it is functionally the same as not being in the loot table. They really don't want us to have this item.

Has anyone actually gotten one of these items? I am also starting to believe it is bugged, no way would an increased XP item be this absurdly rare to the point of no profits from getting it

It does drop, as I have MM data showing it sold in guilds. Its just ridiculously rare. I'd also love to know where it drops. We finally got some info that its from any red outlined mob, but still nothing on if its in dungeons etc...

You have MM data showing the Cipher being sold? We have all seen data on the dust, but I've not found a single person able to show sales of Cipher, nor is it on TTC. Screencap please.

I think it is just rare as legendary loot are. My expectation is to find one every year on average.

Even getting the Ambrosia receipt took two weeks when it came out. That involved 8 toons doing writs and trading the last two with friends. After a little time the fragments were selling dirt cheap. If you don't want to invest skill points you can buy the ambrosia potion for cheap too. Heck, you can have the 50% bonus up constantly and still gaining more gold than the cost of the item - unless being afk.

Now the question is, do you really expect/want the new potion to get to the same level as ambrosia? You can already get over 250% xp value with training gear and ambrosia - in case you really need xp at all. Raising this to 350% (40% more in total) should not freak people out this much.

Sorry, I did get it wrong >.< It was the dust that I have been seeing... I have seen people link the Cipher though, saying they want to sell it. But there is no telling if they actually had the item I guess, they might have just found the item code. Sorry again

It's all fake. So far i have not heard of actual Cipher in PC EU. I guess they drop the same rate as full exotic motif books. farming of them is hopeless. It's all just a gimmick.

- Devs have been incredibly quiet on these forums and elsewhere for months
- Kai has moved back to Germany (allegedly for private reasons, but instinctively, I don't buy that one...)
- Last week with the saturday maintenance, Kai himself hasn't even been informed by ZOS about said maintenance
- Last ESO Live was early September, that's nearly 3 months ago. All while they said they wanted to make it a bimonthly regular show again
- We don't get basic answers to basic, legit questions such as this one.
- This week we don't even have a maintenance (or non-maintenance) announcement banner... - corrected, there's one, just saw it, but it came VERY late...

What's going on, ZOS ???

LoL, it's true that I seem to be insinuating something without saying it clearly. But I'm not "making theories" about stuff I'll never know the reality of.
