The most annoying part is tank or healers that go running past me while I am trying to get sucked into the cave. Stay out of my cave!

    So freaking annoying.

The boss that chains you down - Annoying
The boss that drains your magicka and health - Annoying
The final boss - Dont know because it never spawns for me! But I am sure annoying as well.

Not saying that these are too difficult just that the mechanics are just annoying.

Should have done that dungeon shortly after the game launched, before it was initially nerfed.

Honestly, it is about mechanics. Once you and those you are running with get used to the mechanics it becomes much easier.

Final boss, have to have a convo with the person near the wayshrine. Granted, would be nice if Zos placed an icon on his head or something for those not on the initial quest. @ZOS_GinaBruno

Ah yes. That dungeon. Did it last night for the first time on HM. I sure learned a lot, mechanics-wise, and was glad to have run with friends who were patient to explain what needed to be done.

I didn't know about the adds mechanic in the second boss. Well, to be exact, I did, but I always thought you had to kill all the adds. Now I know better.

I also made the mistake of killing all the spiders in the spider lady fight. My fingers hurt after that Boss, as it took quite a while  all in all, we finished vetFG2 hardmode in 40 minutes. I'm sure it'll go faster then next time around. But that was a hell lot of fun!
Still hate the final boss because I don't have much in the way of ranged-skills. I'll have to take a look at some skills to make up for it.

So how do you Solo it then?

Was talking about this last night with a Guildy as I've started Soloing Dungeons and she was saying you can't do it, cause of the chains.

As far as I knew, you have about 10 seconds when the NB's spawn to burn one down. So long as there are 3, they won't tether you?

Today I ran it for the first time since 1T.

So... What the hell is wrong with the mini boss just before the giant mudcrab boss with the daedric lens?

She appears to be in perma Hardened Ward, our damage was absymal. Only my Radiant Oppression could deal base damage, the rest of the damage dealt was reduced by something like 95%.

It almost took us 10 mins to get her down, and she has something like 700k health...
I get confused between the different versions of some of the group dungeons, but isn't the mudcrab boss in Fungal Grotto 1?

And if you're talking about the boss that I think you're talking about, it sounds like your group killed the adds. There's a boss in Fungal Grotto 1 (at least I think it's in that version of the dungeon) with a pair of adds, and if you kill them then the boss gets massive damage mitigation. If you leave the adds alive and go single target on the boss, she dies easily.
    @UrQuan @Alucardo
Oh, I get it now, thanks guys.

Pretty sure it was FG II since there was Vila as last fight, the mudcrab is in both version, in the version II there's the daedric lens too.

The dungeon is not supposed to be solo'ed.

this is one of the dungeons I refuse to PUG again simply because few people seem to know or understand the mechanics.
target 1, and only 1 add, when staked down
have your healer slot Vigor and magic pots for the magic draining fight
wait until final boss teleports 3 times before you move to OTHER end on room, and your healer has to HEAL through the damage phases
it is not a hard dungeon if everyone knows what they are doing. But it is painful if they do not. It is simply a mechanic heavy dungeon....and that is what a lot of people do not seem to understand

The last boss? I mean, yeah, after she stops teleporting around and covering the ground red, sure.. I go in for as much damage as I can, melee-wise, then back-off, again, as the ground starts to ooze stupid.
But I wouldn't know how to approach her with melee when the ground is covered in her AoEs. Especially since sticking together in a tight, cozy bundle helps the healer to keep everyone alive easier.
For the most part I have to attack from range. If you want to tell me how to melee her, I'm all ears ;)

OMG, you have to actually do mechanics. The horror, the horror!

Of course there are. Knowing the mechanics and actually being in a pug that can counter it is completely different. Especially now when you can land in a group of lower level players without the character skills or know how. Which I guess is more of the source of my annoyance.

I just wonder if normal mode should be tweak a bit or the continued bits of dungeons should be vet only..

Huh? It's been a while since I tanked FG2, but when I have tanked it I've always used the ranged Undaunted taunt to grab her aggro, and she has never followed me - just stood still and sent ranged attacks at me. Would you have to actually run far enough to be out of range of her ranged attacks? And that won't reset the fight?

Normal mode has the same mechanics, but it's still very easy.

I queued for a random normal last week on my alt account (around 270 CP at the time), got placed in FG2 as a tank. The DPS was terrible (my tank was doing over half of the group's total DPS on the first pull), so I gear-swapping to DPS, keeping only the Undaunted taunt on my back bar. I more or less soloed the dungeon (it helps though that the chain-gang targeted them and not me). The incoming damage is very low, things died very fast, and I had zero issues face-tanking the bosses in light armor, only bothering to block telegraphed heavy attacks.

On the final boss, the light attacks from the boss can almost 1-shot an unblocking DPS in vet, which is why a tank must hold taunt. In normal FG2, that attack would only dent my Harness, and when my Harness did go down, it barely outdamaged my Funnel HoT, and I'm in light armor and not blocking any of that. Her channel that on vet is a healer competency check barely tickles on normal--one cast of Harness was all I needed to survive that channel. And all this would've be even easier had I been on my main account with capped CP.
