If you hate animation canceling, you're doing so out of some internal personal vendetta.
If they removed animation canceling from the game, they'd need to change how ultimate is built and the purpose of light or heavy attacking with a weapon, along with the speed of animations to help keep the game feeling fluid. Because it would feel very extremely sluggish without the ability to weave.
If you couldn't animation cancel, light attacks would be pointless to even bother doing. You'd just be button mashing your skill over and over, light attacks in the current system at least serve to break pure spam and perform functions (build ultimate, apply enchants, add some damage, etc).
Animation canceling is a fair part of the game, at least until the devs decide they want to reinvent the combat system again. If you think animation canceling somehow makes macro'ing possible or any worse than without, you've clearly never played any game ever. Macro's are a thing in any game, regardless of if AC is possible or not.

NO you dont need AC for all these you can increase animation speed and give skills to generate ulti feature there you go fixed.

But animation cancelling is basically speeding up an animation.
So your solution is to stop animation cancelling and then increase the speed of animations?

faster non-cancel-able animations means everyone's on an even playing field.

they haven't "embraced" it they just accepted it as a flaw. to which they cannot be bothered to fix nor actually TEACH ingame. there for in my eyes thats still an exploit if the game does not emphasise on how to do it nor if ZoS themselves don't teach people.
it's the damned no soft caps and "skillful" animation cancellers is why you have this skewed ideology of if content is to hard or to easy. because cancelling pumps up tons more damage compared to those who don't know/can't physically do it.
which then you have the cancellers moaning games to easy where as those who don't think it's about the right kind of difficulty/tricky.
Veteran Maelstrom Arena is a perfect example of how not doing it and doing it have huge impacts. it's almost torturing to not abuse it. even then it's semi difficult.

But everyone already the ability to cancel,, it's already an even playing field it's just the lazy people who want to just spam a button refuse to do it.
Hence they want it to be gone so the skill gap between them and good players shortens even more.

i have nerve issues in one hand so cant go over-straining with the animation cancelling. then theres the fact it's not taught in game to begin with. many people don't even know it exists. wheres the defence for that one? read the forums?
you shouldn't need to go online to learn something people call a "core" mechanic.
if Zeni is gunna call it a feature. they need to improve and introduce it properly.

Sry about your hand but thats likely going to impact your on most games and not specifically because of ani cancelling.

actually animation cancel spam is THE most strainy gaming i'v had, and i play dota 2 often
but again, you went "oh i died uber fast, i better somehow learn what this feature is" the world just doesn't work like that unless it specifically explains what happened, and animation cancelling doesn't come up on recap.
it's never referenced in game, no statements of said "skill" being needed to do most hard content, and isn't even taught BY the devs.
i'v played many MMO's and none of them have expected me to leave the game to go browse online to use "core" game mechanics (still see it as exploiting mechanics) just to be competitive. everything in my other MMO's is taught in-game or learned through trial and error. NEVER have i needed to go online to figure out how a "mechanic" is done.

But you learn it naturally anyway just by playing, when you hard casting frags and then go block,, when you cast an aoe and then need to dodge roll etc..
Not everything needs to be spoon fed.
Its an experience tihng the more you play the better you understand.
People didnt learn all their combo because of a tutorial, they didnt need a dps rotation or anything because of one.
They learned because of experience and time.
technically its an exploit because unless you google it or have friends to show you how to its not mentioned anywhere it the game itself that animation canceling is a thing so its something that may give you an unfair advantage against mobs and players can you still kill players animation canceling yes so its not an outright cheat. I really don't care if its used or not but it shouldn't be in the game or at least mentioned in the tutorial/ load screens
