It's easy to judge without knowing what really happened.
I doubt any serious RPer would get annoyed by some fool activating an emote, unless it's purpose was to disrupt RP. And quite frankly, if it was done with the purpose of disrupting RP, they have every right to be mad.
This.
I find it funny how I never encountered these "meanie roleplayers" people speak of.

DocFrost72 wrote: »Alright, I'll bite. You found some RPers, you set yourself up "near them", and began to use a noise creating emote, then "walked away" for something. IF the person hadn't ignored you, you would have put a link in to this discussion...
And you're NOT trolling?

It took more than 1 /hammer emote to warrant that kind of reaction.

no
/hammer is endless emote btw
I can't understand why some players can't ignore the ones who want to rp. If they really bother someone that much, whisper them, ask them to group so their chat is private, or say you have a quest and you'll be gone as soon as you finish, then leave them alone. If they won't let you do what you have to for a quest or to get to the bank or trader or whatever, then you can report them.
I don't get it how someone's rp can bother anyone, tbh.

You just wanted him to play with your wood.
MornaBaine wrote: »First of all, if you were doing that to his character, yeah it can be considered player harassment, which is indeed against the terms of the TOS you and everyone else has signed. While I personally believe ZOS pretty much ignores player harassment, people have been sanctioned (temp bans) and/or literally removed from areas where they were deliberately disrupting the play of others in the past. Even if it was "just nearby" that is a noisy emote and you were probably very well aware it would be annoying to those playing there. It's pretty disingenuous to claim otherwise. Imagine you are trying to have a conversation with a friend and someone's kid is throwing a temper tantrum 2 feet away from you and their parent refuses to do anything about it. And since it's a little kid, YOU can't do anything about it either. So you are forced to leave. Imagine this happens to you, no matter where you are, every time you try to talk to any of your friends. That's what roleplayers get every single time they log in. After awhile you really start hating those people. The number one reason there has been a demand for player housing is simply so rolepayers have a place to go do their thing WITHOUT being harassed continuously by other players.
And THAT is why roleplayers are "so sensitive and mad."
With that logic, everyone who isn't a RPer should get banned
I hate rpers
