So I guess the tl;dr version is:

I can't understand why some players can't ignore the ones who want to rp. If they really bother someone that much, whisper them, ask them to group so their chat is private, or say you have a quest and you'll be gone as soon as you finish, then leave them alone. If they won't let you do what you have to for a quest or to get to the bank or trader or whatever, then you can report them.

I don't get it how someone's rp can bother anyone, tbh.

To me it's like spam. Filling up the chat screen when I'm looking for a WB group in Kvatch. You type arena and then there's a wall of purple emote text followed by a wall of white say text. Can't get into the group because text doesn't stay on the screen long enough.
You search for group in /say? Use /zone.

Make a seperate chat window that excludes say and emote. Done it before for the same reason. Also have a tab without zone for when I RP.

Easy solution... disable /say or create a new chat tab that doesn't include /say and /emote. After all, we have to do the same with /zone to RP without getting constantly spammed by "LFG mino" and "+ mino".

Edit: Ideally we'd get a special "RP phase/instance" that can be entered via flagging oneself for RP (similiar to RP servers in other games). That way, a lot of trouble would be avoided.

You saw someone rollplaying, went out of your way to make their life difficult, and are suprised when they report you for harassment, which is against the TOS? (just somewhat murky in this context.)

If you cannot understand why you got that reaction, you breathe through your mouth. Too stupid, to eat.

Ajust your chat settings, figure out a solution, because we ain' going away, and you cant make us go away. Fun fact. Many of the Zenimax staff actually like RPers. The Loremaster, kind soul he is, has held interviews with the RP community on multiple occasions. In character lore discussion, clarrification, (as much as he can anyway) and he allways participates in character.

So yeah. If anyones gonna go, it's gonna be you. So, in advance, can I have your stuff?

Okay, but you realize anyone else who would see your request and is outside the immediate area of the RPers, or uses a zone only chat window, doesn't have their window fill up with text like that.

First of all, if you were doing that to his character, yeah it can be considered player harassment, which is indeed against the terms of the TOS you and everyone else has signed. While I personally believe ZOS pretty much ignores player harassment, people have been sanctioned (temp bans) and/or literally removed from areas where they were deliberately disrupting the play of others in the past. Even if it was "just nearby" that is a noisy emote and you were probably very well aware it would be annoying to those playing there. It's pretty disingenuous to claim otherwise. Imagine you are trying to have a conversation with a friend and someone's kid is throwing a temper tantrum 2 feet away from you and their parent refuses to do anything about it. And since it's a little kid, YOU can't do anything about it either. So you are forced to leave. Imagine this happens to you, no matter where you are, every time you try to talk to any of your friends. That's what roleplayers get every single time they log in. After awhile you really start hating those people. The number one reason there has been a demand for player housing is simply so rolepayers have a place to go do their thing WITHOUT being harassed continuously by other players.

And THAT is why roleplayers are "so sensitive and mad."

So by this logic of being noisy around other players violating the TOS then I should report everyone that spams spells around the best guild traders? They mess up my shopping and cause lag, so I should report them for annoying me because we're occupying the same space and time?

The world is the world, it's not catered to you and your friends...this applies to online worlds as well. If you don't like the world and the kids disrupting your conversation then stay in your house (your own private space in the world) which you will be able to do in ESO as well eventually.

I find the RP player crowd which is an ultra minority in this game to be a completely toxic and asinine group of the population.

For example, I was juggling fireballs with a jester costume on stage in the Wayrest tavern. All of a sudden I get whispers from one that I'm harassing his group, etc. Same thing you got.

Here's a question.... What about MY immersion?

If my character is a flame juggling jester trying to work for tips then that is my agenda. Who gives them the right to dictate to everyone to play conforming exactly to their realities and needs. Stuff like that makes me want to go out of my way to disrupt them.

Sorry, but I have to point out you justified every form of harassment everywhere. If I pay to go see a movie, then that does not give me the right to leave my phone on and start talking on it during the movie. (I paid to plant my ass on that seat, and I paid for my phone service to use everywhere I have signal.) Just because you pay for something does not give you the right to abuse it.

This is the question allways asked by reprehenseable little mouthbreathers trying to justify their actions. Lemme lay it out for you.

We're here to tell a story. Your here to screw with peoples stories. Your fun is coming at the cost of ours, thats the point, and at that point your immersion conflicts with mine, the terms of service, common decency, and any other decent moral axis.

Hope that clears it up for you.

I don't get it. Unless you were clearly just doing something on your own and inadvertently did it next to an RPer (which it does not sound like was the case), then you were trying to bother another player, "harass" them.
Maybe you shouldn't be banned, but disturbing other players in the PVE areas is against the rules.

I rest my case. Exactly the toxic trollish insults I would expect from an RPer.

In real life there are millions of people around you who are on their own way doing their own thing. You can't expect everyone to accommodate your little needs all the time.

This is the question allways asked by reprehenseable little mouthbreathers trying to justify their actions. Lemme lay it out for you.

I rest my case. Exactly the toxic trollish insults I would expect from an RPer.

In real life there are millions of people around you who are on their own way doing their own thing. You can't expect everyone to accommodate your little needs all the time.

Your aggressive reply perfectly illustrates my point.

      And you deserve nothing less.

Calling us selfish to justify your inferiority complex and need to bully others for some compulsive reason isn't fooling anyone.

PS. Thanks for editing out the rest of the quote that directly calls you out on your bullcrap, it really does highlight how much your cherrypicking reality.
