The stupidity of the Guild Dailies

As if it wasn't enough going through these godawful fetching quests that you call the guild dailies, in order to get a reward that's mostly trash, with a 0,5 % chance of getting the motif page you actually want.

As if it wasn't aggrivating enough to stand and wait at every *** delve boss and public dungeon boss to spawn so you can actually finish the quest, since there are 10+ other people in the delve doing the same damn quest.

Now your Undaunted daily sent me to a delve that was just trolling me. First you have to kill the delve boss, which happens after the usual 5 minutes of twiddling my thumbs waiting for it to spawn. Then you have to collect the usual random items in the delve, as per your usual uninteresting fetch quest. Quest markers were plentiful, 4 items needed to be found. But oh, surprise surprise, we only made 1/3 of them actually yield any quest item. Thus for the better part, using one of these quest markers only made it disappear, with no quest item. Cue 10+ people running around in a tiny delve, competing over and over for a handful of quest markers, where less than half of them actually progressed to quest.

Way to troll, ZOS, way to troll.

    You forgot about the ridiculous +5 points in the skill line progression of the guilds, it could take years! xD

    These quests were designed for soloing, unlike the rest of the massive amount of group content we already have that forces me to team up with derps like yourself.

    And by god, the 'MMO' argument has been used ad nauseam here, when it's plain to clear that this isn't an MMO, but an online RPG. Devs even stated so themselves, so why don't you go argue with them.

    Let me reiterate. Is there any single reason for not having all of the quest markers advance your quest? Does it make the quest harder or more challenging in any single way? No, it only makes it more tedious.

    I will say that the grind is still pretty long, it is not nearly as bad as Abah's Watch.

    And what it would do? Op still would have to find the markers - those objectives aren not shared and still wait for boss to spawn. ESO is not a normal MMO because grouping is made this way, that it actually discourages players to team up.

    Well princess pleasantry you are free to run around like a headless antisocial chicken and compete for the items, but if you make that choice then deal with it. Me and the other derps will team up and be done and on our way while you waste your time.

    Weird, I did all 15 of the possible undaunted dailies and all 15 of the possible mages guild dailies on the weekend, and I didn't have any issues with completing any of them. Never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a delve boss to spawn and never had any problem getting any of the other objectives for the undaunted ones either.

    I tried a few. The rewards are [insert expletive of your choosing] awful. The quests are uninteresting, unchallenging and just not fun at all.

    So I stopped doing them and will probably never waste time with them ever again. I'll get my motifs by buying from players who have the patience for this stuff. I'm not one of those players.

    Are you for real complaining about maxing out guild skillines, it was super easy before latest update and is even easier now

    If you are only using the dailies to level the skill line and not anything else, then yes. But there is so much you can do to raise fighters guild to 10.

    Didn't you quit like 10 times already? It just keeps sucking you back in, doesn't it. Things will slow down and space out, everything is new and people are going for gear that drops as well as dailies. The amount off tears and salt you have just left here makes me wanna go take a swim in the dead sea... just stop already.

    These dailies are repeatable fetch quests for motifs and take up 5 minutes of my valuable time! They're not even worth doing but I'll continue to do them so I can complain about having to do them! RARW!!!! :D

    Right now I just care about 2x XP gains from random vets on my 7 Maxed characters but I did some of those dailies.

    I kind of had the same issues, you forgot to mention the wasted time on dolmens too. My 1st fighters guild daily sent me to malabal tor LOL.

    The dailies I've been doing ever since 1T landed hadn't had this obnoxious issue either.

    The first couple of times it happened I thought it was a fluke og bug of some kind, then after I picked up my quest objective number 6 and it still didn't advance my quest, it started getting aggrivating. I thought maybe the quest itself was bugged, but then I picked up one and it actually registered. Had to use another 3-4 for the last one to register as well, which makes it seems like this is intentional on ZOS' part, which is what annoys me.

    Oh, and as for the usual ad hominem insults by other users in this thread, I'll just ignore your replies. It's not as if it contributes even a sliver of constructive or cohesive thought to the matter at hand anyway.

    In your capital city mages guild, fighters guild and undaunted enclaves. The dailies have blue quest markers now too.

    There are a couple of the Undaunted ones (actually maybe just one - I don't remember) where you're searching for some sort of items to sell to collectors, and they give plenty of locations with a quest marker to search for the items, but when you search the rubble or bookcase or whatever those places don't always actually have an item there - it's just a place to search. Still, even with those ones I've never gotten as far as the delve boss without already having that portion of the quest complete.

    The one that I remember for sure being like that is Wormroot Depths in Grahtwood. I can't remember if any of the other Undaunted quests in other locations are like that.

    Yep, part of One Tamriel. Go to the Mages or Fighters in the Capital City of your Alliance and find the Blue Quest Marker. Fighters will send you to take out 3 dolmens in a zone, Mages to collect something in a Public Dungeon somewhere.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    One thing that sets ESO appart from other run of the mill MMOs is the great questing with good story lines and VO. It's frequently mentioned in reviews as one of its strengths as is the lack of dumb fedex fetch quests.

    Well now we have dumb fedex quests too just like all the others... and they're repeatable lol.

    Do you know what should be repeatable instead? The zone quest lines that now reward you with a set item - like that one in Auridon that gives you an otherwise hard to find, Elegance set head piece. I'd much rather rescue that Orc from the ship several times than go fetch random stuff for vendor trash rewards any day of the week.

    The thing I like about them is that they're taking me to some of the spots I haven't been yet (yes there are people who still haven't done everything) and the Mad Gods coffer is right near the group event in a public dungeon so I know exactly where to trigger it without having to double check online.

    Are you for real saying collecting 100s of books is super easy? Maybe if you're on PC and have an add-on showing you exactly where they all are but on console I'm CP 440 and only level 6 in the mages guild.

    Mages guild is easy and useful as it will sent you to a public dungeon grouop event (Free skill point :) ) and the item is quick to pick. Undaunted is ok I think. The boss respawns usually within a minute. For me only problem has been the fighter's guild daily as there are always a huge group of people camping at dolomens to farm the boss and the cest (probably partly due to HW event) so it is very rare sight to see the Worm Cultist chanting around the Dolomen. And unlike dungeon bosses, Dolomens actually take 10 minutes to respawn. (counting from the point when the chains dropped)

    for the dolmens you only have to be there when it breaks...
