One time after I respecced... I for some reason forgot to put points back to crafting passives... Then I improved two daggers to gold without realizing how many tempering alloys I used Since that day I use only old metal weapons which I already have, that loss hurt me deeply
Dang...servers still down. Okay one more I have to share.
In my noobolescence a zone troll had several people going (myself included) that you should be careful around the deer since they were actually devs looking for cheaters.
Thought that the Witches Festival was applied globally and you only needed the costume for the skulls. Joined ESO one day before the festival, could have had my character at CP 160 by now probably :'( , nice to not outlevel crafting though.
Oh, and levelled to level 10 on that one day, before proceeding to go back and do all or Khenathi's Roost (which was 6 levels below me) less than 24 hours before One Tamriel would have put it at my level.
Was all happy because i had picked up a better destruction staff.
While doing a dungeon i found it strange that their wasn't any lightning coming off the staff.
Turns out it was a restoration staff with a shock enchantment, old staff was obviously deconstructed
Not long after i started playing ESO in a late night drunken state i was selling my stuff to a random merchant and was all happy when i saw a strange potion worth 10k.
Well i wasn't selling and it wasn't a random merchant was a Mystic and the strange potion was actually a resin to bind glass fragments i don't have for a motif i don't need still taking space in my bank :'(
So many things...too many to mention.....Nooby Noobicus here ;-)
I went in Imperial city sewers for the first time the other night sneaking about and was struggling to find the way out and not understanding how travel and getting from A to B in Cyrodiil works at all. I was concentrating so hard, pretty tired and felt pretty safe in the long windy corridor when I walked smack into some giant boss thing that patrols the corridor I wasn't expecting. I fumbled and got stuck on a wall and basically wiped out.
Oh man... Just the other day... The dumbest thing by far...
The day before, I found a group and we completed the 3 pledges back to back, hoping straight from one to the next. The last DLC one, Imperial City Prision, took sooooo long on Vet Hard Mode, that when we finally did it, we just celebrated and I went to sleep.
The next day I went to grab the pledges for the day, saw that the market wasn't showing, and abandoned the pledges from the day before.
Only then I realized I forgot to get the keys... Lost 6 keys and abou 2,5 hours of efforts.

Couple years ago after being badgered by a couple friends I walked into a PVP night for a guild I was in. It sucked, was long, we lost almost every single time and my response to 'well this sucks' was being told by all the 'hardcore' PVPers in crafted sets and scraps to shut my mouth.
Thus was the first reaffirm-ment in my believe that PVP is a bucket of suck.
Bought Black Rose gear from the Tel Var merchant (not the containers) thinking how convenient it was and that they were in impen. Upgraded all 5 pieces to gold before I realized they were 150 and not 160.
My first main was a Nightblade, weapons were all Stam but all class skills were Mag back then. So had my stats almost evenly divided, almost totally useless. There were probably builds to work around that, but I didn't know or spend any time researching.
On my Mag Sorc, originally I used Crystal Blast morph. It does hit hard and AOE, but no free Frags. And until a while ago, I was still hard-casting frags most of the time (finally got an add-on to alert me so I can stop doing that).
Almost every dungeon grouping seems like the dumbest thing someone's done, so I don't do it often. Either the healer can't heal, the tank can't taunt, or someone stands in red (usually not me…) I have a hard time believing people do that for fun.

lol I did that with only 2 pieces before i let rip with an almighty ***. Cant imagine what you said
I had to search for this topic just to put in what I did last night...
came home after a few drinks and decided to upgrade one of my sharp spriggans swords with 7 tempers... 87.5% success chance.. I said... it will work, I said.
it did not work.
I had to buy another this morning at an inflated price.
Went into IC properly for the first time a a month ago
Activated a world boss and ended up running round the whole section, triggering more mobs and got killed in 0.0000001 seconds
Last night while running normal Santum Ophidia, while crossing that long bridge with the stonebreaker of note, I was standing on the side right next to a hole and 1 guy ran around me only to fall to his death. Wahahaha I was all the time until moments later inside the corridors just up the stairs killing mobs, saw last enemy halve way down the stairs and as I was about to go down the stairs, it happened, yeah turned into Alice and went down that hole...8min I waited for fight to end
Come to think of it, basically I've done all that was mentioned in this thread one form or another during my nooblessness days. Ooooh, the crafting blunders, from that 87.5% failed chance that I will never take again right to deconstructing bought nirnhoned pieces for research because they were white.
From my LTP "o that red circle" days to "streaking" off screen into oblivion.
At least I blame most of my "streak" into oblivion on lag. Press bar swop nothing happens, press bar swop again and then not realizing it swopped twice right back to the bar I was on, hit elemental wall only to streak.
Well to date even with all the knowledge and all that I've learned, I still surprise myself, mumbling something like: Well that was stupid, I must not do that again.
+ Buy a bunch of crap from a vendor thinking i was on the sell tab
+ Using a memento instead of a potion by accident
+ Deconstruct valuable items that i had in my bank by accident.
+ Buy the WRONG gold ring from the golden merchant.
+ Learn rare motif on my non-crafter characters
+ Craft writ items at level CP160
+ Decon everythign i just made a minute ago for my crafting writs.
+ etc etc.

English is not my native language, no grammar police please, tyvm
I bought a sword last night thinking it was CP160 and couldn't work out why the stats were low, turns out it was only Level 42.
That was a real lesson in love.
