For those that plan using medium armor and dislike mounts, there is great combo. Fiord set that drops in Rift gives you 15% stamina redux cost of sprint, and 15% faster sprint. Combine this set with darkstride that gives one 50% stamina cost redux for sprinting, and you will be faster than your fresh mount for month or so lol.

Using AvA movement boost skill is a must, too.

Pff as always the smartass of the forum pops up... HAHA so funny you earned another +1 constructive post now?

Tyvm I thought it was funny too. Don't +1 me your horse needs it more.

Your cool. One of the reasons i think this forum is toxic and useless most of the time is because of kids like you infesting it.

    Gj.

You're one of those kids who drops into a thread without reading the OP and makes a mouth breather post like this.

FYI, OP used "cancer" a couple of times, I was the one taking issue with using it lightly, I just wasnt acting like a butthurt knob about it like yourself.

Since you were likely born in 95 judging from your screen name I think we get a pretty clear picture of who's the kid here.

Still not a mature way to say you have a problem with the OP using that word

It's not about being mature it's about being effective.

And since the OP has apologized and cowered away from it, Id say it worked out pretty well myself.

Since ignore just greys out your comments only and I keep getting emails that you reply... I am tempted to reply. I didn't cower out. I respect others if they don't like something I say. I don't respect trolls though, like you, that come and post non-constructive things in order to feel funny smart or w/e they please em to feel.

The mount attributes that you boost by training should be looked at as extra and not as essential.

If you want to go faster then hold down the shift key.
If you run out of stam then keep it held down and you dont slow down.
When you dont want to be knocked off your horse then be smarter about your route.

Unlocking and levelling Rapids is definety essential.

Yes I would be unhappy now if my mount no longer had all stats maxed but when I unlock the extra 4 char slots I will face the mount training again. It's no biggie and its part of the game.

Just concentrate on playing rather than finding fault.

First, you don't train a horse. It was like that on the beginning (when men were a man and women were a man, and ESO was a real challenge, not some daycare like now), but they have changed it and now you train a raider. Yes, it's slow and yes, it could be resolved better, but you have to deal with it. Get the Rapid Maneuvers.
Second, if you treat ESO as a PvP game, then you are in a wrong neighbourhood - this is a MMORPG, not LoL or street fight. It's meant to be immersive and role playing, all mysterious and kungfooy.
And last: I lost half of my familly to cancer, so I wish your microsofty would fell off.

You need actually to apologize with that chemo joke. Not me. But I apologized to the other guy if I offended him too. I just used a word we tend to use in my country. I didn't make a joke out of it. So plz gtfo if you have nothing to say on topic.

Well wishing to others things because you lost family. If that's not toxic and petty I don't know. We all lost family btw and not essentially from cancer. You know *** happens to all of us. Traffic accidents, heart attacks couple of ways to lose someone. But let's stay on topic the forums are for only discussing the game and not our personal life ^^

As for the in-topic part: PvP is one of the end-game important aspects of ESO and Cyrodiil concept is unique. So I treat the game rightfully as a PVP game too. And it's not street fight. It's siege and war game the PvP.

Still writting off-topic things. You are very useful for the forums. Not a single post of yours was in-topic and constructive for the discussion. You should focus on trying to make games better when you post in forums and give feedback. Not trying to be funny or lecturing people so that you fill the gap that's missing from your real life. Forums are for game feedback. This is the last time I spend time replying to you.

Whilst i agree with your initial posts and the person you're responding to is being a bit of a, well, you know, I still don't see what 'cancerous' has to do with anything. I don't see why riding lessons are evil and destructive. After all, that's what the term cancerous means. They're a complete pain and i think they should be given across the board on all your characters, especially the crown bought lessons.

Really no point in parroting a word because it's the internet buzzword of the year when you're not even using it in the proper context. It will soon dethrone the word 'entitled'.

Dude I can't stand the fact that every time you post something on the forums someone has to *** for a word you used trolling and going off topic critisizing you about your manners IQ level origin country and stuff. I posted some feedback. Forums should always stay formal about discussing game mechanics and bugs. Not a place to involve your personal life .. LOL

As for what you say I agree. It would make more tolerable this stupid mechanic. And as for people who bought crowns for riding lessons compensate them with a unique mount only for them if they change the system. Give them and awesome Raptor limited mount to thank them for their support and make the system modern and enjoyable.

As for the thing that ZOS need money. Personally I don't care about cosmetics. And I will tell an example about other game, Dota 2. I've never bought cosmetics, but I spent arround 50euro in the game which is an F2P game actually that gives you full content from the beginning. I've spent 50 euro buying every year compendium as a thank you. What I mean? I would gladly give 50 euro to ESO store for rewarding them for using buy to play and keep getting the game better.

I'd post some sort of retort, but i have absolutely no idea what you're on about. My previous posts, my IQ etc, have we even had a conversation before? Can't recall and I'm not gonna trawl through my post history to find out. Anyway, I've made my point, you've made yours and we agree on the essential part - the actual point of this thread. So I'm willing to leave it at that.

    Firstly welcome @bigboss911 .........

Secondly DON'T feed the trolls, you're derailing your own thread :)

On topic whilst I agree mounts are horrifically slow on a new character, over time I have just got into the habit of thinking ahead about my next alt.

I roll, name and design my next alt weeks before I am ready to use her and then start feeding her mount straight away. I agree this is a silly way of doing things but all by characters currently go from lvl 10-50 in the below 50 PVP campaign, so when a character reaches say lvl 30, I set in motion the next one.

Also as others have mentioned, Rapid Maneuvers is a must and is literally unlocked before the end of the Cyrodiil welcome quest. :)

I should mention not ALL my characters make it past lvl 50!! >:)
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

First is the riding skill. Ofc I read that there are threads for this already and I know how to use search but I want to post my arguments and my feedback because I just started the game. My biggest problem is that the mount speed and stamina is vital for PVP in Cyrodiil when I get dismounted too easy and when I want to run from a keep to another and arrive too late and too slow. So in order to have a fully competitive pvp mount I need to login 120 days and upgrade my mount daily. Also even worse if I want one day to make an alt because currently I don't want to make one I have to do it again from start. Seriously why this mechanic? It belongs to browser games or mobile games with refreshing energy and etc.

-People here telling in the forums to other people that we did it so you have to do it too. Really guys? Instead of making the game greater and attractive to new people you just want to punish new players too with this cancerous mechanic? To level your char to 50 takes a week. To level your mount to max takes half a year? Really?

-To the immersion argument... If you find that it's immersive to pay someone to teach your horse to carry 1 more thing per day immersive then I don't know what to say. Immersion would be that if you rider your horse more time and larger distances it becomes stronger.

-To the argument it sales crowns for lessons and ZOS getting tones of money.... Really for a store advertised as cosmetic store if you accept that a core game feature for PVP enjoyment is OK to be bought so people that don't care or value their 10 euros for 10 lessons I really don't find it either fair or damn right in a Pay to play game. It's not even a F2P game and has this stupid mount thing. I don't care for acount wide horse skins I am not a role player. This is an important pvp feature. They should find smarter ways to attract more money invested. And don't we already have DLC,cosmetics and ESO plus?

The second feature missing in this game is guild store search... Really? The game is years out and this thing not yet implemented? Yea I know there are addons, but should they ignore it and not adding it because there are modders to do their job?

Hey, one small tip for you:

For pvp you only need 60 points in speed. Your mount will not stop sprint without stamina. So you can "only" be dismounted without stamina. And as a player with 60/60/60 i can say you will be dismounted with 60 stamina too, because you sprint with your mount all time. The 60 points in extra bag space are not essential for pvp.

So in minimum case you only need around 1 month, if you train all in speed. And as a new player you need this month to equip yourself. Getting CP 160, doing pledges and so on. Leveling up to 50 is the smallest part in this game.

We have closed this thread as the discussion has turned into a conversation over the word cancer and has lost its relevance to ESO. This word is very emotionally charged and should not be thrown around lightly. As evidence by this thread making a comparison to cancer can quickly derail the conversation and disrupt the community.
