[New Player] My only 2 problems with this game

First is the riding skill. Ofc I read that there are threads for this already and I know how to use search but I want to post my arguments and my feedback because I just started the game. My biggest problem is that the mount speed and stamina is vital for PVP in Cyrodiil when I get dismounted too easy and when I want to run from a keep to another and arrive too late and too slow. So in order to have a fully competitive pvp mount I need to login 120 days and upgrade my mount daily. Also even worse if I want one day to make an alt because currently I don't want to make one I have to do it again from start. Seriously why this mechanic? It belongs to browser games or mobile games with refreshing energy and etc.
-People here telling in the forums to other people that we did it so you have to do it too. Really guys? Instead of making the game greater and attractive to new people you just want to punish new players too with this cancerous mechanic? To level your char to 50 takes a week. To level your mount to max takes half a year? Really?
-To the immersion argument... If you find that it's immersive to pay someone to teach your horse to carry 1 more thing per day immersive then I don't know what to say. Immersion would be that if you rider your horse more time and larger distances it becomes stronger.
-To the argument it sales crowns for lessons and ZOS getting tones of money.... Really for a store advertised as cosmetic store if you accept that a core game feature for PVP enjoyment is OK to be bought so people that don't care or value their 10 euros for 10 lessons I really don't find it either fair or damn right in a Pay to play game. It's not even a F2P game and has this stupid mount thing. I don't care for acount wide horse skins I am not a role player. This is an important pvp feature. They should find smarter ways to attract more money invested. And don't we already have DLC,cosmetics and ESO plus?
The second feature missing in this game is guild store search... Really? The game is years out and this thing not yet implemented? Yea I know there are addons, but should they ignore it and not adding it because there are modders to do their job?

bigboss9191✭✭Also I forgot the other argument by some people here, the one that " You have to earn some things " I don't want my toons to have it already " " I want to earn it to all my characters" . Seriously? If it was some fun mechanic I'd like to earn it. But sorry I have better things to do than log in daily just to teach my horse things. Game is fine, I like the scaled level and I like the freedom to go wherever you please. I could play with my high lvl friends from the start. Game is gg but that horse thing oh man... ✭✭✭✭I would like to see mount upgrades account wide. I don't mind paying for upgrades once, but for ppl that have 8-12 chars it is more than tedious to lvl the whole stable full of guars.4 -

also i agree with the guild store thin thy just need to use awesome guild store as a base to get a better search fuction like known morifs and so onDon't worry girl I'm a Sorcerer, i got my Hardened Ward for protection0 -

150 days if you flawlessly remember to feed the horse exactly after the 20 hour countdown is up. ✭The mount system and mechanic in general is fairly poorly thought out, with the band aid changes made since launch possibly making it one of the weakest systems in the game presently. I'm sure it's on their list of things to improve at some point.If you can be anything, be kind.1 -

Dude I couldn't believe it when I found out how it works! It was a moment like " Wait, what? Really? " What pains me is that when I've read previous posts about the riding skill people in the forums were becoming toxic. They only just cared that the system stays as it is because they had it done already. If I love a game I play and especially a MMO I'd like to be improved so it attracts more and more people and stays fully alive.1 -

Anyhow back to horses. I think when you first start off that the horses seems to be a tad bit slow. I do find players being able to out run my horse in full speed. How can that happen is anyone guess.3 -

✭Just running on foot between 2 keeps takes maybe 2-3 minutes (I know thanks to the stuck in combat bug I get pretty much always), so running on your mount with rapids will take less time when using rapids. And as far as mount stamina goes... unless you are a tank (and sometimes even then) gankers can kill you off a full speed mount instantly without even needing to dismount you.
"Everyone else went through this, so you should too" is a perfectly valid position for long time players to take. What is your loyalty reward for playing ESO for months or years? A maxed out mount and full 9-trait research... oh wait, I suppose you want them to hand that to you as well because new players might want to craft twice born star because they saw it in a youtube video.

I don't want things handed over to myself. This is the point you are missing. I want some intresting mechanic to upgrade my riding skill. Not farmville like mechanics and daily logins for bonuses... The long term rewards could be other things like unique items. They could reward you a unique and limited time mount or title for your loyalty. There are so many better ways to reward PRO and loyal players and also have space for more casual players to enjoy mechanics like a decent mount!0 -

1) You do NOT need an upgraded mount to be competitive in PvP. No more explanations needed, you just don't need an upgraded mount to be competitive.
2) LEvelling a char to 50 takes a day if you know the grind spots. And that is somethingpeople will tell you if you ask & e.g. joins a social guild. It's a lot of those around in the starter-areas, and just areas in general really.
3) Horse speed and bonuses is not vital to the game. IT's not p2w in any way, you can only get cosmetic things for crown store. Another invalid argument.
4) Guild store Search: Download Awesome Guild Store-Addon. Use Minion if you need an easy way to install them.
5) Same as explained above.Ignorance is the greatest weapon of tyranny.

But it's not vital to PvP. And the distances are annoying sometimes yes, but it's a part of the tactical play in Cyro. Hence why some ADs usually tag Sejanus + BRK + even Arrius Keep when they want to get Alessia back. (Just an example). EP goes to Aleswell & Glade if they want Chalman back. DC goes Roebeck if they want Ash & Nikel back.Ignorance is the greatest weapon of tyranny.

Digiman✭✭✭✭✭I tend to agree with @bigboss9191 as the whole horse training thing was a time sink to cheat you out of your money in in subscription time. The other being research traits taking months instead, thus cementing that there will be no more new traits.
And a proper search tool for the guild store wouldn't hurt either.3 -
