Necromancer Class or Warden Class?

    Warden, because...
Could do with a new class:

    - New players have more variety
    - Veterans will get bored with the same 4 classes over and over again (2.5 years now)

Warden's the most obvious choice then, since it was a class before it got cut.

And speaking of balance: throwing a new class in the mix could actually help with that as it gives the devs a new point of view, a fresh referrence point to base the current classes around
"Stand strong, stay true and shelter all."

    Necromancer, because...
IMO the class system should be removed entirely and players should be given a choice of 3 skill lines to start with out of a selection of 12 skill lines and have the option to add more later on.

However, since they likely wont' I'd rather have a Warden class and Necromancy as a world or guild skill line

    This so much

Sure like you need how many years to finish balancing it, 3 more maybe? Celebrate a new class with the new TES in 2020? If after 3 years you haven't finished balancing your classes there's no big in adding a new unbalanced one to at least freshen things up a bit.

Wardens were cut pretty early (like after pre-alpha) from ESO and will return in the future. We already know this information.

They were there and they were removed. Literally nobody from ZOS has ever said they are returning that class.

Oh cmon Woeler -_- . Datamining > ZOS official statements.

    Because of Datamining we know:
    • There will be a Vvardenfell DLC
    • There are Wild Hunt, Dwemer, and Skeketon themed Crown Crates already created (not just Atronach)
    • Ra Gada, Ebony, Worm Cult, Frostcaster, Skinchanger, Hollowjack, Grim Harlequin, Celestial, and so many more motifs would become craftable well before they were officially said to be made craftable
    • ***Warden skill lines datamined from the One Tamriel PTS (aka *new* information just added into the game)***
    • Maw of Lorkhaj was found on the Imperial City (might've been Orsinium) PTS
    • TONS of spells from the delayed Spellcrafting system

There is so much more.... I couldn't possibly go over it all. You totally understand this man.

The reason Wardens were likely cut was because of class identity issues between them and Templars. Many who tested the class said the same. There is a lot of educated guessing we can do about Wardens, but to summarize it all, they've basically been redesigned and are slated to return :)

Yeah the current classes have balance issues but they will probably be in much better shape before Wardens release. ZOS hasn't even gotten around to announcing them yet! :/

I for one never complained about pets, and therefore wouldn't mind if a form of them were added with a Necromancer class. I welcome the class.

    Warden seems cool tho.

Because of the lore behind Necromancers, and necromancy basis overall. Not to mention that it's highly prevalent all across Tamriel.

As for using the methods of those we fight against, that's done already as is with the undaunted monster sets. We slay these special monsters, and obtain their powers and skills to use against them themselves in other instances. As well as against foes in general.

Yeah, but your not raising their corpses and throwing them against the enemy. (Allthough that'd be cool I gotta say. Kill a boss, THEN BE ABLE TO SUMMON IT!)

It'll never happen though. You'd need to give Necromancer a viable stamina playstyle, or make pets completely viable, and neither would ever happen. Warden appears to have had a damage spec that could have doubled as a tank set, a healing/damage spec, and pets.
It was better rounded and I dont see what you could do to make necromancer that much better.

Really, much of the problem I have with it is T H E E D G E but if you could make it viable I wouldn't be that opposed. It's making it viable that's the problem.

That would probably be how ZOS would introduce a new class. It would be better if it was part of the base game update that comes with the DLC, but I wouldn't put it past them putting a class behind a paywall.

Just make necromancer a skill in daedric summoning, morphing some of your skills ie. giving your pets new skins (or lack thereof)., give daedric armor some skeletal spikes, or make the ward absorb health or some such. Tada!

Enough with the ''balance the existing classes'' argument. Maybe the reason we have dont have balance is that we lack extra skills to adress it?

Necromancer, but it should be a world skill line not class.Be cause we are in dire need of debuffing skills in general. Buff erasing , damage and healing reduction you name it . We need to tone down the min/maxers and proclords of pvp.

Please no more classes, we already have too many skill lines locked for certain characters forever. That ruins the TES feel.

However, if I absolutely had to choose between the two, I'd support Warden assuming it's a classthat has to do with nature like all those mobs in Glenumbra. Necromancer just makes 0 sense as a separate class. Necromancy is a part of Conjuration school and Sorcerer already has that - sorcs summon armor and daedra.

Even the SP titles had things locked from certian characters. ESO is much more freeform where melee has 'spells' that fit their gameplay.

Would make sense though. They want more eso+ members. But, this isnt the first time a mmo company has done this. WoW and FFXIV have done it too with expansions and such.

Luckily, we are afforded the luxury of not having to buy them all with...ESO+ lol. I highly doubt theyll make your warden unaccessible if you choose to cancel your eso+perscription though. Itll probably be available but you just cant make a new one.

Yeah, I'm aware, I came to ESO straight from GW2 and they did that with an expansion too. I wouldn't nag at them for it. I'm a subscriber, even, so it would make no difference for me.
But I wouldn't jump in the threads that would show up about it and defend this choice. It isn't a practice that I particularly like.
