Though I agree with your point about more and more unobtainable items in the game moving to the crown store ... adding more cosmetic items to the crown store itself does not venture towards the slippery slope of P2W. To repeat, these are cosmetic items.
People turn that into "Well this person has the CS Exclusive motif and can sell gear to people in that style for a lot of gold so they can convert real money into gold that way and that is P2W." which personally I think is a load of BS and a poor excuse to call it P2W.

It is exactly what would happen if the crafting sets were more important, though.
But they are not. Not anymore.
I imagine the crafters with those styles will still be hired more often than the ones without them, but the difference will probably not be that big because there is little reason to wear crafted sets on most builds now.

Motif schmotif. 90% of the crafted sets are lackluster and outdated weakling sets. Why should I get any of the new motifs when the BiS for my kind playstyle is in the draugr motif. ZOS f-u on this one imo. Give crafters an option to change the motif of a dropped item..

For the Witches Festival, ZOS released two limited-time holiday motifs: Hollowjack and Grim Harlequin. The former can be found in-game, while the latter is a Crown Store exclusive. Although ZOS hasn't officially said anything about it, the assumption is that the New Life Festival (New Year's) will follow the same pattern of two limited-time holiday motifs: the in-game one is Skinchanger, which you get from doing the various New Life daily quests, and we assume that the Crown Store exclusive is Stahlrim Frostcaster.
So probably late December. Not November.
One Tamriel is not a paid DLC, which means ZOS has no paid DLC income for the 4th quarter.

Edit: Learn to read never did I say this sas P2W I said I feel its slowly progressing there step by step. Wont be too long until Mats are sold in the store
Many of us, including me, who are not happy this is a crown store item have paid HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS for this game already. We are subscribers. We are crown purchasers. And some of us are unhappy about this. We don't think everything should be free, but we think some things shouldn't be forced purchases. A crafter as of now can never be complete without purchasing this motif. I don't personally mind having to purchase DLC's to get set crafting locations unlocked, and motifs I could earn in game. This is different. And it has nothing to do with me expecting something for free.
Well so far I have not seen one credible link or source that tells me that the Stalhrim motif will be a crown store exclusive. Until I do, I'm not taking the OP's comments that seriously.
What is your source of information for this being a CS exclusive?

@KriHavok
The original theory was decised when the motifs were discovered on the PTS, called "Crown Store Motifs". We asked, but Zeni never responded to us and it was quickly dropped until the festival event. There, one of the two motifs, Grim Harlquin, another Crown motif, was only obtainable through the crownstore.
From there it's just basic logic that this motif will be sold over the crown store for the same price Harlequin was.
I personally find it reprehenseable. Zeni used to get my money by producing content I was glad to pay for, not extorting motifs. I didn't buy Harlequin. I wont buy Harlequin. I wont buy Frostcaster. Why? *** this practice.

Interestingly enough, the Grim Harlequin motif is in the game files which is NOT Crown Store exclusive, as well as its style materials (LINK). So, either ZOS made the decision to make it Crown Store exclusive closer to the time of release and scrapped the normal motif, or (in the unlikely situation) that the motif isn't actually an exclusive and will be available through regular means eventually. But this is just speculation.
Either way, I think the Frostcaster motif will be a Crown Store exclusive because I can only find the Crown Motif in the files, with no sign of there being a regular motif for the style (LINK).

Well, Stalhrim is a material exclusive to Solstheim, so it's very much possible that the motif gets added eventually when ZOS releases the zone in a future DLC. Same might even happen to Grim Harlequin

That's a lot of wishful thinking, but I want to believe!
