Right now I have 5 piece Julianos and 3 Willpower accessories, so the only slots that I have open are helm, shoulder, and 1 weapon (I'm destro/resto). So, which of these combos would lead to better dps?
1. Nerien'eth 2 pc, and non-set weapons
or
2. 1 pc. Molag Kena, and then 2 pc. Torug's Pact (shoulder + staff)
(Extra 258 spell damage)
?
Thanks!

Between those two otpions, neri for sure.

Why do people keep recommending Skoria and Spellweave? What DoT am I supposed to be using, and what fire damage? I mean, I use WoE on trash, and I don't think it counts as a DoT, but that's it...

Why Neri over spell damage? I feel like Neri would suck against single target, and only be good for trash mobs, whereas spell power is good for everything. Or is it still good for single target?
Also, whatever happened to Julianos? I thought that was the best for magicka builds...The best inslot magblade for pvp:

Single target dps? What are the DoTs I would use for the build you are suggesting?

You should never ever let elemental blockade run out in single target or aoe fights and burning spellweave procs from flame damage (burning), also your dots include meteor, cripple, twisting path (hate this skill) and elemental blockade which all can proc skoria.

Is spellwieve worth getting if the only fire damage i have is w/ Wall of Elements? If it's only 20% proc rate, and WoE procs only once a sec, that procs once every 5 secs AND has a looooong 12 second cooldown.

How much more DPS is force pulse? Is the healing from siphon not important with good healers, or would it make sense to have both skills, and keep siphon up?SienneYviete wrote: »Most magblades I know myself included use force pulse over funnel health in trials so there is that as well + our ultimate's shooting star/elemental rage (used sometimes).

Does the burning from force pulse proc Skoria? If I went 2x Skoria 5x Spellweave would force pulse proc both Spellweave and Skoria (which also procs spellweave) at the same time? That might be pretty good.
Also how is this set worth it with a 12 second cooldown? How much more DPS is force pulse? Also I'm already committed to using 3+ pieces of Julianos, bc I already updated some to legendary w/ all of the alloys and wax I had.
With that information, and from what you guys have been saying, I could go:
1) 5x Julianos, 1x Kena, 5x Other Set
2) 4x Julianos, 2x Skoria, 5x Burning
Spellweave
3) 5x Julianos, 1x Kena, 3x Willpower, 2x Torug's Pact
4) 3x Julianos, 3x Infalliable, 5x Other Set

If that's my build, and I don't want to make any significant changed (so maybe just swap one or two skills out for others, maybe get force pulse or cripple or something), which option is the best then?
Thanjs everyone for all the answers, this is great =D

2255 of each ability.
Funnel health, 8545.
It was only preferred as it's 3 hits to proc nerenith. Still using grothdarr it's an extra 2 chances.
Pulse costs double, with siphoning strikes you can weave funnel health indefinitely.
But no force pulse isn't more powerful on its own.

Been a while since I played a mage blade, but I thought most of the competitive mNBs (not many left) are going double staff at this point?

While the best MagBlades Ive played with run staff/DW (I run this as well), the setup above can be done on a staff staff;)
3 Moondancer jewelry, 2 Grothdar, 1 Infallible Aether Armor, 4 Spellweave armor, 1 Spellweave Staff Front bar, 1 Moondancer staff backbar. As you can see you would lose the vMA staff front bar, which can be amended by:
A) Running DW back barThe increase from running Moondancer would outperform the vMA buff.

@hedna123b14_ESO
Interesting. Been meaning to dust of the magebalde. I actually have all that gear. Can't seem to get an infal or vma staff in sharp, but I do have a sharp moondancer and BSW staff (dropped in a chest in COH1 during my BSW grind).
I thought BSW might be BIS on sorcs, but I still think TBS is better in a proper raid.
My 2 cents, I think VMA staffs are wildly over rated. Haha
I did try something yesterday that I thought would be right up your alley on my DK: Grothdar head and shoulders, infal jewelry and one armor piece, 4 BSW armor pieces, front bar is BSW destro, back bar is infal lightening. Best of both worlds. 5 piece BSW on front bar, with 5 aether lightening on back bar for full AOE cheese.
