This is not correct.
There is a bug, that after log-in the configuration of the UserSetting.txt file altered

FROM: SET LastRealm "EU Megaserver"

TO: SET LastRealm "NA Megaserver"

This is happens each time on log-in REGARDLESS server selection....
So even if logged to EU, on next restart it will be set to NA again.....

Agree 100% this is my experience as well as stated in my previous post.

What works for me is:

log into 'Live' (NA) log out
log into 'Live EU' and I'm in.

When I crashed I had to go through this again, log into NA > Log out > log into EU.

SET LastPlatform
SET LastRealm

Make sure they're like this:

SET LastPlatform "Live-EU"
SET LastRealm "EU Megaserver"

Now save the file and close it, right click the file, select properties and check "Read-only" and apply.

This should prevent the client from writing on this file and therefor replace the EU Datacenter with the NA one.

if it doesn't work remove the read-only, but it should.

Ca devient clairement du foutage de gueule à ce niveau . Ou comment perdre des clients....

J"adore ce jeu, l'univers; mais la je n'en peut plus du tout ,(je joue depuis la beta).; je paye l'abo en plus; mais non chaque mise à jours mineure ou majeure n'est que bug sur bug.

Quand on veut jouer dans la cours de grands Mr Zenimax/Bethesda ; on s'en donne les moyens.

Et on ne laisse pas les clients dans la mouise comme ça.

Je réinstalle tout au propre comme je disais dans un autre post; si jamais le résultat est le même, j'annulerai l'abonnement.

Et j'écrirai à une association de consommateurs. (même si ça ne donne rien).

Merci.

TY but tried.. if i set read only get game error on launcher, if i uncheck read only it goes to NA...........LOL. and whichever way you try to get around it, it is still a ZoS problem NOT the players

I feel bad for the players who dont know about 'ini' / userfiles and how to change file settings, not everybody knows about things like these and in all honesty they should not have to, game should work as its downloaded, not requite IT techs to change ZoS mistakes .

You don't need to use the launcher to launch the game:

ESO\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client

Then use eso64.exe or eso.exe

Did You tried just completely remove live directory and then do the following server selection as below ?

When prompted on first launch what server you prefer - select EU.
After that:

1. Get to login screen (screen with username/password).
2. Select NA server and click ACCEPT (it is does not matter what server currently selected, just click on Live and ACCEPT).
3. Select EU server and click ACCEPT.
4. Login (type password press login)

BTW waiting between step 3 and 4 gives me announcement change and I actually can see EU servers announcement.
Steps 1-4 I should repeat each login, anything else leads me to NA servers....

EU server announcements not loading. Still defaulted to NA on announcements. Been waiting and restarting for 20 mins.

My characters are not loading.

I am usually the one to defend this game, but for the love of everything that is holy ZOS, learn how to code and stop optimizing everything when you know it's just going to break everything.

Just stop it. Hire in some new coders. For the health of this game.

Yes, I confirm. It takes a bit until you see under the Announcement that the megaserver was switched. Initially I was login in/out, switching to NA login in/out then switch to EU and login. But the solution from Gina is faster. Looking fwd for the bugfix.

BTW, One Tamriel looks awesome. Good job!

The quickest way I've found is to click on the server setting to bring up the choice box, click on Live and accept, then repeat but click on Live - EU and accept, then wait for a minute or so to get the changed Announcement text and presto, log in!

this is a total *** show. my friend and i took the day off work so i could get a jump on the new update, and i could introduce him to it from a new start.

wow - we ve spent 3 hours at an internet cafe paying 8 dollars an hour trying to log on. this is a joke.

I'm on the EU server- I've restarted 4 times- kicked off 3, got to feed my horse and now i can't log on and its telling me my characters are wiped. we all expected teething problems- but wasn't that the point of all these maintenances and pts ?!

done all this, i do know what i'm doing, I am not the only one with this issue, its a ZoS fault, it broken simple as.
No interest in playing a broken game, God help Console players when there patch comes, cos its barely playable now on console the post patch gonna be a disaster for those guys.

ZoS need to respond and fix this ASAP for their EU customer,s, try this, try that is NOT acceptable, its broken , FIX IT !

Just logged off, it auto defaults back to the NA when going back in.

I'm not getting any sound when I log in and Play. Had the issue with it getting stuck in the US server, you have to select the us and log in then log out. then log into EU and it should work.

yay could log into eu one time, after that it won't log back in there, keeps me on the eu server but na mega server, even if i change the .ini, so much for trying this out. Please don't change stuff that is working for broken stuff. Honestly i have been playing from beta, from time to time changing things ok, but don't for broken stuff.

Gave up awaiting for EU server, started from scratch on NA... zzzz after leaving starting zone, confusion, I got all dlcs with subscription but where is my guar mount which I bought for crowns on EU server.
If you share my subscription and dlcs between servers why don't you share the crown mounts?
Gave up after an hour... running all the way on feet untill I can get the first 10k for basic horse, waste of time

It requires me to log in three times.
It appears that I am logging in to Live-EU, but I do log in to NA server instead.
I log out and select Live server, so it should be the EU server, but still it logs me to NA server.
I log out for second time and select Live-EU and finally I log in to my character selection.

Please take a moment of your time to hire people who can solve this!

I'd like to see ZOS to state each day they actually work on solving the problem, instead of just sharing the links to forum threads about how to bypass the flaw they created.
