    For me it just takes ages to even get into the character screen! (been loading for 10 minutes for the second time now, still nothing...)

    • Choose EU at the login screen
    • Close the game and patcher
    • Wait a couple minutes
    • Log back in
    • Check and make sure the Message of the Day references EU
    • Success?

    Tried both Live and EU Live yet no trace of my characters.....

    Edit, they magically all popped up while I was typing my post.......weird stuff.

    First when I logged in, everything was alright.
    But I had to log off, because the game creates a new folder and this new folder did not have the Add Ons I need.

    So I logged off again and when I wanted to log back in, they asked me for an access code and now my characters are gone as well ^^

    @ZOS_GinaBruno : The above seems to be the solution. It seems that the setting for server selection is not set properly when selecting Live-EU from the get go.

    No, that didn't work.

    However, what did work was

    - shut down ESO programs
    - restart launcher
    - select NA (even though I'm EU) at the launcher prompt
    - select Live-EU when the client presents the login page.

    Things are really messed up...

    Does not work! Still being sent to characterselectionscreen. And it still says NA on the message of the day. Are my characters even there anymore? Can you check that out?
