I actually quit arena after 300+ runs, need dagger sharpend, other then that I got everything. Do not like rng like this.

Damn you Sharp inferno staff!

i ran it once and said nope not worth the trouble for them weapons especially considering i can run set dw on my mages with enchants and pull at least same if not more with destro malestorm. the only maelstrom be nice to have would be dw dagger precise, sharpened or swords sharpened for my stam blade and sorc. but i pretty sure i can live with tthem without them so zos could *** themselves with maelstrom.

Not keen on SP content to progress in a MP game. So I haven't really run it aside from once. Got to Stage 5 w/o dying but decided that going to bed was more worth my while. Haven't been back since.

I need a bunch of weapons but I'm not interested in grinding BiS equipment for raiding and PvP in an MMO from a solo instance, I will just accept a dps loss and move on with my life. Dumbest idea ZOS ever had.

Nope my gold hundings rage swords are just fine for me.

I beat vMA several times before Shadows of the Hist and all I have to show for it are a resto staff and a bunch of rings.

When I heard that vMA is now guaranteed to drop a weapon on completion I got super excited, but then I saw that they countered that by adding trash traits like charged and decisive. I may go back in and start farming it again, but if I end up with a decisive inferno staff or something like that I will probably lose all motivation to continue vMA.

at least 300 runs (lost count around 250), 200+ vma weapons and finally last week i got the last weapon of gear that I really needed, a precise dagger. Now have precise and sharp inferno, precise and sharp lightning, precise and sharp bow, precise and sharp axes, precise and sharp daggers (only 1 of each so 2 of each might be more optimal), precise and sharp version of every 2h, all the resto staves in the world, all the terrible trait bows and staves and dw weapons in the world, all the sword and shields in the world and a whole lot of gold mats from my weekly rewards and a bunch of the dwemer style crafting mat

id rather settle with master weps than go insane with trying the VMA till I have my better gear then maybe I will go for it.

Am I the only one here that loves the Maelstorm Arena? The RNG is bad and token system would be great, but c'mon, its fast paced, fun, challenging, difficult to learn and master, but once you learn the mechanics you can easily run it in an hour or less.

I don't think most people have a problem with the content itself.
It's the extremely low chances of getting a reward you actually want that bothers people.

I get bored doing the same thing over and over again, so I refuse to take part in this, for example. It's not that I can't complete it, or that it wasn't fun before, I just have no desire to do it 9 billion times and fight the RNG boss every single time.

And actually, this is no different from the lottery boxes, except only more expensive. Even at 1 hour (which, I'm not that good), my time for that hour is worth more to me than $4. I see that I will wind up spending 100x that, and it just ain't worth it to me, even if I did get that amazing weapon I wanted. Why? Because I can think of tons of things that are more fun than being locked into that arena by myself, repeating the same actions over and over ad nauseam. To each their own, but this is just another RNG One-Armed bandit, you're just paying it with time rather than money. It's just another hustle.
