DPS check...? Do you mean the "first phase" of damaging the boss to 70%-69% as fast as you can, to get to the "second phase" (3 crystals that must be destroyed on the second floor)?0 -

✭From what I can tell time is the most important factor. I had 2 different runs; one where I died less but took 5mins longer, and one where I died more but finished 5 mins faster. I got the higher score for the one I finished faster, even though I died 1 or 2 times more. Obviously dying less will help you achieve a faster time too. Couldn't give you specifics though.PC | EU0 -

peniku8✭✭✭I got 570k with 40 minutes, 2 deaths, the top sorc score is 590k with 33 or 34 minutes with 0 deaths. No sigils used in either run.

✭✭✭✭✭You get a base score from completing stages, sigil bonuses, vitality bonuses, etc.
Then your time is compared to the par completion time, which for vMA, is 90 minutes. Anything above 90, and you'll have a time penalty deducted from your score, and anything below, you'll get a time bonus added to your score.
The tricky part is that the size of the time penalty/bonus is dependent on your base score. So with a high base score (no deaths, no sigils), each millisecond is worth more than if you had a lower base score.

Anyway, the value of each minute you save is 2646 points, if you use 0 sigils and have 0 deaths.
Let's say you have 10 deaths and used 4 sigils. That's a loss of 13K from your base score. Then the bonus (or penalty) value of each second will be decreased by 1.3 so that each minute you save will be worth only 2568 points instead of 2646 points.Nightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

That spreadsheet is a little out of date now and you can find the updated version of it here.
To boil it down, assuming you take zero sigils and go flawless, a minute slower costs you 2,646 score. This number goes down as you lose lives or use sigils as the "base points" you get will go down accordingly. Using a sigil will costs you anywhere between 750 and ~1,000 points assuming you are faster than the recommended time of completion (1 hour and 30 minutes).
I suppose the TL;DR of it is that using two sigils is worth around 2-3 minutes of time.0
