If I want to have high DPS to qualified for vet trials I more less have to obtain the Maelstrom weapon which requires me to completely alter my settings at the cost of me.
Don't tell me otherwise. Name me 1 person who completed a vet trial that does not use a Maelstrom weapon nor a masters (vDSA) weapon?
Can I personally craft a destruction staff that is equally powerful as this?

I agree skill should out weight having a maelstrom weapon, but it doesn't. Which sad in my book.

Watch that video. Then we can talk about how Maelstrom is a must-have.

ZoS, I play ESO so that I can interact with other players.. to play dungeons and trials with other people who share the same interest as I do. Just find 3 good players to run vet dsa with you, now that it's max level. The some of the weapons are just as good.

People think that obtaining a magical stick will somehow make them more powerful because they saw a guy wielding a Maelstrom staff and he was OP.
Guess what?
The staff did not make him strong.
Beating vMA did.
Sometimes the journey IS more important than the goal.
If you still believe a magical powerful weapon will increase your damage output, simply log in to the PTS and see for yourself.
It's seriously blown out of proportion.
While I agree that there are alternatives, let's be real for a second. Maelstrom weapons are the best of the best. The damage I do with my sharpened Maelstrom Axe and sharpened Maelstrom Dagger is stupid. Throw in my Maelstrom Bow, and it's bananas. I was just talking to @Vaoh about this on PSN. The damage difference from going Maelstrom and regular is ridiculous. It honestly is.
So nerf em. If it's thats crazy then there is no excuse.
Talking primarily about the dw axe/dagger combo that every pve player would kill their mother over.
Looking at the arena itself, it's one of the best PvE-Content in the game, the overall design is very nice. I would also rather have a 2player+ version, but I think it still definitely has its place in the game.
But should it drop the best gear? No of course not. And we definitely need a Token System for this kind of content.

Well of course they are the best.
But as someone already mentioned, skill>gear.
A player with a Maelstrom weapon will have the upper hand when fighting an equally skilled player.
But simply getting a MA weapon won't make a scrub have the upper hand against a skilled player.
I am very grateful ZOS is not breaking under the pressure from newbies, and leave the vMA hard.
It is practically the ONLY place someone can hone their skills.

This right here. Earning Stormproof is a test for mastery of your class. No more, no less.
When ai grided up alts, I played them terribly. After 1-2 runs of vMA, I felt quick and back to normal. Strange but true.
I hope vMA is never nerfed.
To say that maelstrom is required for vet trials is an uninformed player. It is recommended but many groups have completed vet trials without it. What makes your dps is to perfect your rotation; the weapons are there to facilitate. Even if you have the weapons and do not have your rotation to the 'T' , then your dps will underperform.
I don't know what game you are playing but on na ps4 if you haven't completed maelstrom you are allowed to do a lot of trials. If you haven't gotten the right weapon your bloodspawn time will be several seconds off. You will not be allowed or you will be second string.
I agree with op

But really I think a third Arena will come out eventually to give us more "Master" type weapons.

I honestly can see that happening. The weapons in question would effect the third skill or weapon trees or weapon ultimates, being as Master weapons deal with the first skill, and Maelstrom Weapoms deal with the second. And I'd be willing to bet it'd require 12 people, being as there is a solo and 4-man arena. Yes... I can see it now. And instead of granting increased spell/weapon damage, or crit or max resources? It'd increase regeneration. Bam! There you go ZOS. I just did the job of your planners for you. Make it happen. Lol.

It's a big stretch..... but..... we are 100% guaranteed and confirmed (just not officially) getting a DLC that opens up the island of Vvardenfell as a zone. We've known this since Thieves Guild launched.
Red Mountain is located at the center of Vvardenfell. That place is an absolute nightmare and is home to some unbelievably powerful creations and monsters.
It would make an absolutely perfect place for the next 12-man trial. Maw of Lorkhaj would be child's play compared to Red Mountain
Just my speculation that it would actually become a real trial though.
Don't you agree it'd make an awesome Trial?
You're thinking too much into, its for solo players period. Its not there to train u for what's coming, so your telling there going to put end game content that requires u do it by yourself using the same dreadful mechanics of the vma. I quit, I am good I will uninstall right now and never comeback. Why should I be punish if I am casual tamriel adventure.

Its the best weapon so it is for good players... like the ones able to finish VMA. If you are a casual player you don`t need the best weapons... and its a good way to reward players who put in the time and effort to do it.
It was also very nice of them to place it behind VMA, it could have been placed behind the hardest trial on the hardest difficulty and then 99% of the population would have no chance to get it. As it is now, with VMA anyone can get it at their convenience...
Are you also mad at your government for not giving you everything everyone else gets like medals and honors or rewards just because you exist? After all you are just a casual human why punish you by not rewarding you to the best of their ability?

But I am a PVPer and hate PVe and I want my sharpened great sword and bow?I ran it 80+ times I just want to get back to PVP but can't.I play this game solo and we are the one's who truly get the short end of the stick because we play pvp and are forced to get undaunted and vma to be competitive. You in the other hand get to play pve and get help from others and pve has nowhere near the lag pvp has, not even close. I still managed to get vma 2h and bow weapons and grinded my undaunted with random pugs for a month straight. All with out coming here on the forums asking for a crutch.
All i hear is waah waaah i cant get muh vma weapons as easy even though im pve'r but when things get tough now pve is not fun. Cry me a river.
i like some of the pve content but some of it is just unnecessarily brutal. It took me 50 tries to get my vma weapons. I got lucky in getting my 2h on my 16th run but not so much for my bow. I got sharpened dagger and a precise dagger along the way which could be used for pve stuff. They should add a token system for those who have the patience and skill to beat it.
Come on how we supposed to know because of AOE caps we don't get killed when we get hit with AOe or stand in stupid so they don't know to block or walk out of the giant AOE.I will say I seen more PVP players with Stormproof than PVE playersPurifedBladez wrote: »You don't need a Maelstrom weapon to be successful.
I'm telling you, bruh. It's as though ZOS is training us for something. What, I have no idea. But definitely something.
Come on 80% of pvp players still stand in red circles.
LMAO! Hahahaha! You might be on to something. Whenever I run trials with people who PVP primarily, they always are the first to die. And 9x out of 10, they were standing in red circles.
Actually his comment really wasn't stupid your whole complaint in this thread started off because you believe having a token system in VMA is P2W,because you don't want to pay for the DLc and just want it given to you other players shouldn't have a reliable way at getting gear. His point is that you just want everything handed to you he right.Plus its a public forum he can say whatever he wants on here.Plus he OP he can have a opinion as you have yours.
Seriously did u compare what I said to the government. Honestly that was stupid thing comment I've ever read on here. Next time u have a question, plz raise your hand. I am done talking to u.
